TOP TIP! For anyone planning this trip, be wary about the path from grey wethers stone circle down south to heartland Tor (just north of postbridge) The bridle way goes along the side of the valley through thick gorse and the path disappears. Wasted loads of time! There is a decent path that follows the brow of the hill, only about 400m to the east. Honestly take the slightly longer route and you will save a lot of time and energy!
Strewth Trev--you are now officially a part of a future volume of...Dartmoor Legends!!! I take my hat off to you, brilliant! This achievement and your channel in general are a great inspiration. Wilkinson's have bathing salts priced only a quid--reckon your feet need it!
Awesome effort! I did a 23 mile hike this summer (not planned, just couldn't find a usable campsite..), and was completely destroyed. Couldn't imagine hiking another 10 miles on top of that!
Full respect Trev. Years ago I did a 23 mile walk in the day, in the peak district and I certainly know what you mean when you say the legs seize up . Well done
Thanks very much, Paul! It was a good day to be honest, and i was glad that the terrain was much firmer and clearer than I imagined it was going to be. Rough terrain and bad weather could have made the trek a different story altogether.
Nice one Trev, Good Effort! Thew a donation your way, you earned it. Did that route myself a few years back but over 2 days. Fair play for doing it in a day!
Hey Trev - just finished my gold dofe in Dartmoor - your videos made it a breeze! - you persuaded me to get an oex phoxx 2 and it was excellent during storm Francis - thank you!
Been waiting for this... I did ~29 over on Brecons a month or so ago and there was a point, around 25mi, where I realised that I'd screwed up and plotted in a steep climb. 33 miles is almost the two days junior Ten Tor route, nimble little beggers they are too, good shout.. yes, something a bit easier next time was the first thing I said :D
Cheers Andrew - and well done on your own Brecon Avdenture! The last thing you want is a steep climb at the end lol. I almost did this from South to North until someone pointed out that that way around was practically all up hill. lol
Bloody loved that episode Trev. Took me back to how I used to feel. Excited about getting out and seeing the majesty. Great video! And you looked so handsome!
Well done Trev, it was good to see you walk the track past Steeperton, I walked that path too the other week and crossed the river, good to see what's the other side of Steeperton. Big Up Respect for completing it mate.
Cheers Lee - it was an interesting and invigorating day - I joined a lot of dots with this one and raised some good cash for charity in the process! Thanks for watching!
Hi there, epic hike Trev. The video reminded me of my past dartmoor trips and made me excited about my Two Moors Way trip in September. Keep uploading your great videos.
Brilliant video. Congratulations Trev. That’s a right of passage for all of us that love Dartmoor. Now you need to do the same with an overnighter and then... the “Up and Back”
Great video and fantastic achievement. Well done Trev. Nice to see several sections that I have walked over the years as well as some new ones. The final section along the 2MW is one I walk two or three times a month from and back to Ivybridge. I bet that final track took its toll on your feet after such a distance!
The final stretch took its toll on my mind if anything - I think having one track to walk for several miles didn't feel as though the walk got split up so much... I was like a zombie through there lol. Thanks for watching!
I know Colin - I usually get a handful of dislikes almost immediately as the videos go up - they don't even watch, which is sad but not my problem... they're the ones with some kind of inferiority complex!
Well done trev crossing dartmoor in a day, must of felt great completing the challenge. Great video, I was really looking forward to this one and it didn't disapoint. Had to smile 😏 at the gators, did the same once with boots, only discovered it when I opened the boot of the car to get them on, oh well. Anyway great effort and well done you. 👍🤘
WOW! I take my hat off to you Trev, what an amazing achievement that was and I thought you were a legend before but you just made it official! I know you said you were bearing up alright but man, I do not know how you did it, mind you, I would like to see you do it again lol. That was worth another donation, cheers Alan
Ah thank you ever so much, Alan. I think the lengthy training hikes beforehand certainly helped. I was shattered at the end but I must admit I found it much easier than I thought I would have. Cheers for watching!
Fantastic achievement Trev, incredible to see how far you've come since the early days. Chucked a couple of quid your way the other day for the cause, can't wait to see more adventures from you.
@@SummitOrNothing If you want another journey up north have a look at the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, could be a good run out for you if you're still looking for a challenge. I'm dragging my fat arse round it in October!
Yea - I didn't imagine I'd be doing this back when i first walked up the little hill from Sauton carprak and onto the moor all those years ago... haha!
What a great effort Trev and well done for raising so much money. I walked the Cleveland Way in September for charity and it certainly kept me going when it got tough. Definitely going to do more for charity in 2021. It’s a great feeling doing something for others isn’t it?
Nice work Trev. It's funny because you kept crossing and following parts of the route i did 2 weekends ago (my latest vid 😉).... I was like "I've been there......i remember that bit!" the MW post was one of my highlights, like things like that 🤷🏻♂️
What an awesome achievement Trev, please consider dropping a quick video to recap the day and share with us the highs & lows and also how you recovered....all the best and rest easy :-)
Respect, respect, respect! A tremendous effort (all that training paid off, dude) and a brilliant video. Hope you are fully recovered or, if not, well on the road to a full recovery. Cheers. Ken
Upmost respect to you Trev. Amazing effort there. A real inspiration to us all on what can be achieved with a positive mind set and serious commitment. Hope you had a well deserved beer when you got home 👍
All I craved in the last miles was an Del Monte Lemonade Ice Lolly. Stopped in a garage on the way home and was pleased that they sold them. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant result Trev, well done. Loved the extra Patreon behind the scenes video as well, can definitely tell the part of the journey where madness kicked in 😂. Added a donation to your just giving page.
Thanks very much, Paul. Really appreciate your donation cheers. Glad i chose last weekend to do it and not this weekend. I think I would be a melted heap up there at the moment. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant Trev! Quite the accomplishment in a day... 👍😀👍 It would have taken me 3 to 4 days to do that.. Even if I could walk the second, third and possibly fourth day... LOL Congrats you have done it!
Great effort - you inspired me to do the same walk 😊 I carried my tent, sleeping bag etc - 1 day down and two days back. Slept in a pub at the end of the first day - steak, pint, bath and soft bed never felt so good! Then hobbled back up to Belstone, much slower than on the way down! Struggled at the end of day 3, honestly I wouldn’t recommend it, get public transport back…!
Nice one Trev. Love that you used some of the classic SON music in this film. Fair play, you’ve doubled my longest day of walking there 🤣 brilliant walk, brilliant charity, top man 👍🏼
Hoping to cross this off my bucket list next week, but I'll be having an overnighter on route - too much for my knees for one day 😀, out of interest, are you pleased you did it North to South? Or would you, with hindsight wish you'd done it the other way round?
I think South to North, when you look at the terrain on a hiking app, looks all up hill, which is another reason I chose to do it the direction I did. Hope ypu manage to get this done. Take plenty of water, it's gonna be hot!

Superb effort Trev. You'll have to do Dartmoor left to right next or right to left. I've always wondered if its pronounced Hangers-hell or Hanger-shell rock? Hanging-shell will do ;-)

That last bit from Left Lake Myers is hell. The hard rocks under tired feet did me in when i walk/run/walked from Fingle Bridge to Ivy bridge
