The Chili's comeback is perhaps one of the most unlikeliest of the restaurant chains in America. It is probably hands down the best restaurant chain in America right now, at least when it comes to reviews, popularity, and its business performance! Chili's was once a dying chain, but in the past year it has seen resurging sales. Now, Chili's near me is packed all the time. And not just near me, Chili's everywhere are packed and swarmed with customers again! What gives?
I am always of the opinion that the food is by far what matters most at every restaurant. Without good food, you're not going to do well! But still, why is Chili's SUDDENLY doing so well? Is Chili's good now? Has Chili's gotten better? We will find out if Chili's has improved as we try the Chili's menu for the first time ever.
Yep, you read that correctly. I have never been to Chili's before! I've been to loads of the other American chain restaurants, like Applebee's, TGI Fridays, and Olive Garden etc. But Chili's? Not once. I am aware of the Chili's baby back ribs commercial though and the Chili's baby back ribs song. I will try their food for the first time ever today, and see how they are! Perhaps their food is great, and that would explain why they are doing well! We will try the Chili's lunch special, and I hear great things in particular about the Chili's $10.99 lunch special, and the Chili's baby back ribs of course, and also the Chili's triple dipper TikTok famous item!

Could you please explain what are the differences between the $2 and $5 levels?
@@rockoutconsiderably There's no difference. It's just if you want to give more support. Both grant you access to the Patron-only posts so totally all good if you are interested in being a Patron but just want to pay the $2 option.

Went to Chili's one time. My sister had a bev nap in the bottom of her soup and our whole family got food poisoning
Chili’s has figured out that most folks are counting Pennie’s these days. Bravo for them! One of the few restaurants to make it through Covid.
Yeah restaurant prices, even fast food, were going up faster than a balloon at an amusement park. It's gone up faster than most people can really afford (or at least consider worth it). Smart of them to realize they should offer more (quality and quantity) for less
The 3 for me 10.99 option is less than some meals at McDonald’s
Chili's and Applebee's both....fair food at a fair price
The Chili's in the area near me closed about a year ago. Miss that place. Pretty good food and a fair price. I think it's time to drive a bit further and check it out again. 😊
@@andrewriggs9808 but it's a bunch of empty appetizers.. applebees at least has a meal for that price
I did a shot every time UA said 'objectively'. I'm writing this from the ambulance.
Imagine if the food was cold though. 😂✌

Getting a triple dipper and NOT getting the Mozz Sticks is an insane move. I'm shocked being that UA is an online creator he didn't know about the Triple Dipper!
i literally scrolled through the video to get to the cheese pull and i was so bummed lol
He’s never been to Chili’s before. How would he know? I’ve never been, either. All I know them for is their ribs.
@@Undecided0because his full time job is being a creator so you’d think he’d do a little research about what people want to see and what’s popular since making videos and getting views is how he makes his living.
Chilis is better and more affordable than McDonald's these days.
ur trippen Mcdonald's is cheap rn especially with the app
Met my now wife over 20 years ago at chilis. I was a server and she was a hostess. Also found out that my wife was pregnant with our first son at a chilis. Much of lifes most important times happen at chilis😂

Chili's is where business is done.
Similar to ruby tuesdays. It’s a restaurant where corporates go to do their meetings.
I’ve sold a lot of paper there after a blooming onion and some bbbb baby back ribs… with bbq sauce

1:08 i think it's appropriate to say, "we are here at." You're bringing us all with you through these videos to each location. Great review!
Yes thank you! That's actually exactly why I was saying that every single vid, though some people told me it was confusing. But if you guys like the "we" giving a community feeling I'd love to continue saying that!
@@uaeats keep saying it! We like being part of the experience
UA, say whatever you feel comfortable saying. If people are so petty, or so delusional, that they don't realize that they're not in the video with you, it's their problem. Jeez, some people really do get upset over every stupid thing, don't they? Well, "we" think they're crazy! 😂
Here for this one!!! Feels like we were going together!! (As an expat in Berlin most times, I wanna be eating at these places - even Chilis sometimes haha!)

Legend has it that Pam Beesley is still not allowed at a Chili's
She is again now.
I loved the episode Michael makes a buisness deal at Chili's and orders the bloomin onion baby back ribs etc. can only tell one joke so he calls Pam for her read some of his jokes to find the one best joke.
I don’t know why I watch stuff like this when I’m in bed at midnight. It’s like torture because I can’t possibly do anything about it for at least 12 hours.
Same right now bro 😅
During the pandemic, I ordered from here regularly for lunch because of the taste and value. Now I want Chili's. Off to Postmates I go...lol. Great vid UA!
that waiter was super kind and nice- im so glad you enjoyed that meal! wish i lived close to one to visit
My dad is one of the founders of Chili’s. Brinker almost lost this chain by over commercializing it. I’ll always love eating here.
My dad was an African Prince that came to America to find his queen.😊
My dad was a pistol and I am a son of a gun 🔫🤣
This was objectively a pretty good video.
haha
The greenish dip was avocado ranch, specifically for the southwestern egg rolls. Based on the placement of the ranch and bleu cheese with it, it looks like the dips were rotated once counter-clockwise relative to their "intended" pairing.
Great video! We are bing watching your back catalogue. Glad you had a good time in when you were in our home town of Toronto!
Fun video and a nice addition to the channel! Enjoyed greatly
southwestern egg rolls are one of my favorite appetizers~
This was fun to watch, your enthusiasm was contagious. 🤣
I went a couple weeks ago and got the smasher burger special. Both the burger and fries are legitimately good!
I love your channel UA been watching you for a while as a philly person❤ GO BIRDS 🦅 glad you liked the food!
My wife and I are huge Chili’s fans. Your assessment of each item are spot on. I believe the corn comes frozen and that is what causes the gummy texture. Also, I’m not a fan of the Mac and cheese either. Their burgers are the best!
My wife and I go to Chili's now even to take out instead of fast food - the quality of the food and service rivals most fast food or fast casual places. The triple dipper is such a great value!
I hadn’t been to Chilis in a very long time. Your video convinced me to try them again tonight. I was impressed how good the food was. I’ll definitely be going back.
Chilis chips and salsa are amazing
pure msg
What about onion rings & fries?
You had me stressed with your dipping into the wrong sauces! 🤣 The greenish one was a Cilantro Ranch meant for the Southwestern Eggrolls. They would've been even better with that! Those have been my go-to app for 20 years now! You should go back and try their viral burgers that have been the #1 reason they've seen a resurgence. Thanks for another great video & God bless!
With all due respect the green sauce is avocado ranch and it is the dipping sauce for the southwestern egg rolls, it is also one of Chili's best sauces.
@@gerardbrady273 You are absolutely correct. I don't know why I typed out cilantro instead of avocado! I guess I was in too big of a hurry. It is indeed one of their best sauces, if not their very best! Hope you get to enjoy some soon! God bless!
My last two Chili's experiences were quite good. Once out of town, once near me. Had a really good burger both times. I was impressed, because I wasn't expecting a memorably good burger from a chain. There was a nostalgia factor too, as I used to eat at Chili's all the time as a student in the 80's. I'll have to go more often.
Same here UA! Took my family to chilis for the first time a couple weeks ago because of all the hype. Very impressed with the prices/portions just like you lol. We ordered everything you did plus a couple burgers 👍 glad we tried something different and we will definitely go back!
UA is becoming like Vegas with SHIN: Every Restaurant Is A Buffet If You’re Willing To Pay.

What’s up UA happy new year to you guys 🎉
Very good review. We need to get the channel over 100K subs.
I like Chilis better then Applebees or Fridays.
Applebees is terrible!
I think I agree
All the Fridays in my state closed down.
@ there is only one Fridays open in my area that I know of - Tysons Corner Mall in McLean VA.
Fridays is trash they upped there prices but not quality
Absolutely LOVE!! The southwestern egg rolls
Hey UA, I'm a big fan of your channel, keep up the great work - very entertaining! If you ever go back to Chili's, their Alex's Santa Fe Burger is one of the chain's best voted on by their staff. Also, their dry rub ribs are quite excellent - much better than their others, but only an opinion. Awesome video, thanks!
I haven’t been to Chili’s since 2014. Maybe I’ll give it another chance!
It's still not very good.. All frozen processed foods. Burgers are ok, chicken crispers but that's it.
I grew up in NYC. The only casual dining chains that I’ve been to are Denny’s, IHOP & Applebees once. The meal at Applebees was free, because I went there for a job interview. I had no intention of working there. I just heard that they were giving free meals to applicants at an open house event.
I tried their burgers for the first time a while back and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I don't usually like thicker burgers but this one had some great flavor. Would definitely get it again
The Big Smasher is a typical thinner smashburger.
I don't know how they do it, but they're serving good food at an affordable price. Bravo for them. They desereve their success.
Their Old Timer with cheese is a good burger. One of the few chains that puts mustard instead of ketchup on a burger, too.
Chills is pretty popular where I live in Mexico- fair prices, ok food. It’s fine for a reasonably priced lunch
The Avacado ranch is for the egg rolls. Normal ranch for the chicken.
Hello UA I have never been to a Chili’s. I’ve been to the other ones like you have and I have to try it sometime thank you for reviewing chilies. It gives me a chance to eventually go there and try their food. Take care and God bless.
Love Chili's, try the honey chipotle sauce next time... it's fantastic and the dipped mozzarella!
Next time you go, you have to try the molten chocolate cake. It is amazing!
Great review UA
Nice review funny, I recently ate at Morton's in Hackensack. I was very impressed with the steak there. Maybe you should give it a try. The Shops at Riverside! Very high end and very good!
Hi ua, after seeing business news pieces about chilies, i went to one on richmond Road staten island. everything was great. coca cola bubbly. potato soup awesome with fresh bacon and scallions. wish the cup were a little bigger. had the big mac copy cat burger. was fantastic. fries were awesome. all for 11. how can u beat that.
Your review has influenced me to go to Chili’s! Never been! Good luck this weekend UA , I’m a Packers fan! 🏈
That Secaucus plaza also has a Dave's Hot Chicken; you should do a side by side comparison video. It also has Red Lobster, Shake Shack, sushi, Indian and a plethora of other choices. UA heaven.
I didn't recall you mentioning if this was your 1st time @ chilis...have you been here before?!
Oh shoot did I forget to mention it? Guess I better mention it again
Good on you for being a good sport UA :)
objectively you've never been to chilis
Were you watching this without sound?
Chilli 's has done a great job! Super marketing, very reasonable comfort food menu, Super value, casual fast food at its best! Here in Miami we have a Millers Ale House that does a super job as a small operator with the same venue😅
We haven't been to Chilis' for years. The last time we when , it wasn't a good experience. Sounds like Chili's has turned it around. We will give it a go again.
Thanks for the great review. All the best. UA . from Jim and Harriet
the chili's next to my place went out of business last year and I miss it so damn much. honestly was the best quality option in the area for the price, sad as it is to say
Worst part is i still get ads for chilis deals on all platforms. feels like they went out of business right as corporate rolled out all these new deals and menu items to revive the chain 🤦
I'm glad I'm not the only one who had never been to a Chili's to eat. I've had beer at the bar before, but never actually ate there.
Awesome review, UA. Now I want Chili's. My goddaughter and her family are close by to the one in Elkton, MD. Thinking I may need to go there with them.
Wishing you and Tina a great rest of the week.
Also, maybe another chain if any by you, Ruby Tuesday's. I used to love them but the local one by me closed. They have a small but very good salad bar.
I've been once. I remember liking their salad bar. Burger was decent though not great if I recall. I'll look into it!
Shout out to a fellow Marylander.
@@Tonymanero1960 I actually am in Delaware but not far from Stateline
@@acharis-Annie My uncle and cousins live in Newark DE,.....and my girlfriend was born and raised in Port Penn DE. We live in Towson Md now.
Chili's is one of the few good massive chains these days. The honey chipotle crispers and burgers are awesome
Crispers are good. Ribs are decent. Wish they hand-cut the fries though. Steak is mid, too. But overall my favorite chain American restaurant at the moment. Also, side note, if and when RFK takes over, I hope they strongly discourage using oils in everything and return America to the tasty glory days of beef tallow and butter as that would make everything so much better. Like their chocolate chip cookie dessert has potential but I can tell that like most restaurant and processed foods, they use only oil, not butter. Like many things, that dessert would be so much better if it had butter.
@@chaostheory16 Amen. I got my whole family to stop using seed oils and my parent's cooking has never tasted better. Lard, duck fat, beef tallow...it depends on the dish, but each is superior to any seed oil.
Surprisingly, buffalo wild wings fries everything in beef tallow. I don't know any other chains that still do that.
When fast food restaurants, known for not having the best quality, have prices that rival those of fast casual or dine-in restaurants; Chilis counters that with the “3-for-me” meal which has been their main source of success lately.
The green sauce is cilantro ranch meant for the southwest egg rolls
My mistake! I said Secaucus was one of the HQs of the NFL but I meant of the NBA. I misspoke. Just a correction!
Their replay center is there. I tried to sell them video equipment when they were building it (I didn't sell them)
I worked at a chilis for 6 years as bartender/server in the late 2000s. I ate their food by choice every shift I worked because I genuinely thought their good was good. Back then people used to hate on it. I’m glad to see people showing it respect!
I love this channel youre gonna blow up
I like when you say we it makes us feelike we'.re coming along with you
I went recently and I'm sad that I don't have one near where I live. It's soooo good, and really affordable for a sit down restaurant. The lunch combos and the 3 for me deals are an amazing value. Plus, the service is quick. Chili's easily lives up to the hype.
Wow that service is amazing
UA
My Go-to is the Cajun Pasta with Shrimp. and I get it with a salad with ranch. It's delicious. The bread that it comes with is amazing.
The fajitas are great at Chili's. Nice video!
I used to go to Chili’s a lot during my college days (mid-1980’s).
I would like to thank Chili’s for introducing me to mozzarella sticks. 😋
The video was objectively good
I have not been to a Chili’s since the early nineties. It was seen as a pretty fancy place in my town back then.
Have to say recently I was brought by a friend kicking and dragging into Chili's, but I have to admit, that Trio combo is a pretty damn good deal. Lotta bang for the buck.
Can tell you for sure you got Avocado ranch for the eggrolls, and regular ranch for the wings and crispers.
My wife's go-to is the Old Timer 3 for me.
We eat Chili's a lot, specifically because the food is better than most chains these days and it's affordable. If you ever go again, retry the Triple Dipper, but get the Nashville Hot Chicken Strips, The Big Mouth Smashers, and the Egg Rolls. That's the best. combo for that appetizer. All of their burgers are great, but my favorite is the Alex's Santa Fe. The Quesadilla Explosion salad is also really good! I'm not a big fan of the ribs, but that's probably because we make them here at home and I'd put ours against pretty much anyone's. Never had their elote so I might have have try that, but again, we also make that here at home... I'd still be willing to try it. I've also never had their mac and cheese and I'm not sure I want to try it now! 😂 I'm not a fan of the mushy mac so I don't often order that when we go to chains. I save it for those mom and pop soul food kitchens. Great video!
Chili's now is a far cry from its humble beginnings in Dallas, TX in 1974. I had been going since the 1st location was opened in Ft. Worth, TX 4+ decades ago. Its central focus was on burger's, wings, and chili. The fact that the Terlingua Pride is no longer on the menu is a shame, for who do not know it is a Chili Cheese Burger w onions. They had the best wings then, outside of Buffalo. No boneless bs.
I've never thought of them as much of a wing place. I always thought of them as having an eclectic menu that included some Tex-Mex style tacos and fajitas. They are using Chili's kitchens for the delivery only "It's Just Wings" brand.
The did blatantly rip off Outback's Bloomin' Onion with the Awesome Blossom. But that went away since it was just a ridiculous calorie bomb.
But menu items come and go. The thing (Guiltless Chicken Platter) I liked 25 years ago is no longer on the menu. Tacos are completely gone. No more lunch special prices any more, and I remember when one could try (sometimes unsuccessfully) to order a lunch item at any time. And those weren't even on the regular menu, but might be seen on a card on the table. That was my secret hack, where lunch ribs were actually less than half the price of a full order or ribs, and came with the same amount of fries and cinnamon apples as a full order. I looked at what they call "Lunch Favorites" and it's just a collection of several items at the regular prices. But I think their 3 for Me is the best deal in casual dining other than maybe happy hour at Yard House.
Remember the sizzler that used to be in that shopping center where the red lobster is now I was always surprised how long it stayed open
This was our go to spot in the 90s on campus. Margaritas and fajitas!
Sweet Jersey corn in January? I don't think so. LOL. We like Chilis. They do vary from location to location but are usually good. The 3 for Me deal is good bargain. A burger meal for $10.99 these days is hard to touch at fast food joints and Chilis is quite a bit better.
I love chillis my favorite chain restaurant. The fajitas is where is at. Try it next time, specially the fajita trio!
UA great video again 😂👍 🇸🇪
When there a month ago for the first time in years. Was very impressed.
bros voice is fire. he hit the Chili's jingle on point
Chili's in the 90s had the cajun chicken linguini. That was my favorite when I was a kid. UA, I thought about you when i took my Girlfriend to Applebee's last weekend. We both ordered the 12 oz ribeye and it was really good. We both got medium rare and they were cooked perfectly and tender and just the right amount fat. And seasoned with perfect amount of salt and pepper that brought out that nice farm fresh beefy flavor. I feel like UA woulda said the char isnt quite there but man, for a steak from Applebees thats better than Texas HR and Ruths Chris, we were pretty pleasantly surprised. And i got a side of green beans with were bit chewy but the "mac and cheese" side was pretty damn good too. My gf inhaled her food. Applebees is not too bad these days. The service was excellent despite it busy as heck!
Bro nailed the chilis song
ua i think you forgot to mention that you've never been to a chilis's before 🤣
The Chili’s ‘smasher burger’ on the 3 for me menu hits HARD, get it with the free chips and salsa w the app and you are golden👍
You mean with the mobile app (that can get kind of confusing) or do you mean as an appetizer? I rather like the loaded baked potato soup, but even as part of 3 for Me it can be shared at the table (plus refills).
But yeah - that's a pretty good smashburger - especially for the price. However, that will only come with one side (where the default fries can be swapped out). A steak will come with two sides.
Chili's has revamped their business to reflect the financial situation of today. Plus they improved the quality of their food. Next time try their burger combo. At $9.99, the burger is big and juicy; add in the chips and salsa, it's a heck of a value. BTW, we are getting you a thesaurus so you can use a different word than "objectively". lol Keep up the good work.
Hey UA! I’m a big fan and enjoy your vids. Genuinely curious about something I’ve picked up on - in your vids you sometimes repeat things a few times (like saying that the chips are objectively good). Have you thought about editing these out? Either way big fan - keep up the good work!
I think it adds to the uniqueness:)
Loved the prime rib tacos!
I forgot how much I used to like chili's.. have to head back now thanks 👏🏼👏🏼 i live in bbq country soooo no ribs but everything else looked really good 🫵🏼
Objectively is this guys Favorite Word.😂😂😂😂😂
Chillis has come A LONG WAY! We went recently and were actually blown away! Try their Mozzarella Sticks
This has me wanting to try out a Chili's! The lunch deal is _definitely_ cheaper than a quarter pounder meal from McDonald's.
My wife and I had our first date at Chili's back in 2007. We don't really frequent change anymore but we always found Chili's food to be solid especially compared to Applebee's
I use to love eating at chilis but they ended up closing it down awhile back in my town glad they are coming back!
Miss their Awesome Blossom
avocado ranch is the other sauce by the way, its mainly paired with the eggrolls. :)
I have always loved going there on a cheap date night or with a buddy ordering a couple margaritas and the bottomless chips and salsa.
When I moved to Miami and saw how the local Chili's had house margaritas already mixed and poured out of a tap instead of hand mixing each one, I knew that its days were numbered. That Chili's closed two years ago.
I went to the Chilis with my two boys and we ake well and the bill was 60 dollars and food was fresh so I agree 100%
It's currently my favorite restaurant.
