I can honestly say, you have been missed. Sooo glad to see you. Keep up on the amazing music and such a wonderful passion. (ps. as a true blue gen-X'er... you are forgiven for the not-so "mistakes". My words get all messed up too.)
That cosmic TV set in the background is so cool! I also have different format copies of the same albums. I find it really interesting to see how the artwork is adopted to different sizes and the tracks sometimes also differ.
I have the majority of your picks on CD format, I don't collect vinyl or cassettes anymore. The only one I don't have on CD is "Beauty & The Beat" by The Go-Go's, trying to find it remastered, but it's too expensive. Keep collecting vinyl and you will have a great collection in no time. I have around 2300 or so CD's in my collection, this will be my 3rd collection, my other 2 CD collections were sold for personal reasons. My new collection is the best one so far.

Always bought vinyl but later realized cassettes had its advantages. For a long time cheap? ferro tapes were used for pre recorded cassettes, in the later years they used chrome tapes and these pre recorded cassettes sounded good and still do.
It's so great to see a HiFi girl who is actually into music. In the end, that's really what it's all about. Far too many "audiophiles" are far too focused in the gear, and have lost all grounding if you ask me :) But a tip, check out AIX records, recordings that are not compressed in to sonic death in the loudness war :) Greeting from Norway :)

Sonically amazing and the song Seven Wonders sends me to magical places ...and you don't have to correct yourself or flash a bunch of albums when you have a slight togue twist. Geraldine, being that you have a Halloween Snoopy sitting behind you…I think you should check out the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” soundtrack. Great jazz music and outtakes from the special and the vinyl/record comes in an orange pumpkin shape!!!
Not sure that I could ever put up with cassettes again, but two of the only bands that would warrant TWO physical formats for me are Rush and Iron Maiden. I would love to have the vinyl collection I had back in the 70s / early 80s but that would be obscenely expensive to duplicate at 2024 prices here in Oz. Thanks for the video. (the boxed sets do represent good value, but by the time I separate the wheat from the chaff I'm usually left with albums I should have just bought individually)

You have an excellent taste, (Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, The Smiths), but what about Pink Floyd's very underrated and probably greatest album, 'Wish You Were Here', and also, can you really live without having 'Disintegration' by The Cure?

No Elton John? I'm guilty of having multiple copies of albums on record and CD. I think my at one stage I had 11 copies of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road! That was the turning point for me. For the last 6 months or so I have been selling off, or giving away my collection. It was super hard, but I would shelve pieces for a few weeks to get used to the idea. My goal is to reduce my collection to where I only have two LPs and two CDs of any given album. It's fun and gratifying to build a record collection, but in my case I'm finding balance.
I have a few vinyl & cassette duplicates of Elton John 😆 but no CDs of him haha! But wow 😳 it’s good to sell some so you have room for some new things 😝

No Elton John? I'm guilty of having multiple copies of albums on record and CD. I think my at one stage I had 11 copies of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road! That was the turning point for me. For the last 6 months or so I have been selling off, or giving away my collection. It was super hard, but I would shelve pieces for a few weeks to get used to the idea.
My goal is to reduce my collection to where I only have two LPs and two CDs of any given album. It's fun and gratifying to build a record collection, but in my case I'm finding balance.
I have a few vinyl & cassette duplicates of Elton John 😆 but no CDs of him haha! But wow 😳 it’s good to sell some so you have room for some new things 😝
