Well... there was truth to what he said, but he knows what hissy fits the Lewis fanbase throws and probably doesn't want to deal with it.
It’s what Lewis does when he needs to win and can’t do it fairly. IMHO he is dirtier than even Schumacher. Hill tap in Adelaide was gross, but not dangerous. Lewis doesn’t even shy away from that. He has crafted his reputation well though.

That's the reason Alonso came back to F1. He definitely so a driver that he wanted to drive along with. Many people so something special in Max and he brought a lot of people back to F1.

Rosberg was making a joke. When I listened to the episode, I actually took it the other way, that he had to reassure listeners that his comment was a joke so that Verstappen fans wouldn't jump to conclusions (as you have here).
If you bother to listen to the entire episode of the podcast he speaks very positively about LH, mentioning how he had the ability to extract more out of the car than he himself could at certain tracks. He also spoke about how that made it difficult as a driver to be teammates with LH, in the same way that Perez will always struggle against Verstappen.

I would really love to see Max break this record as well, but at the same time, Vettel holds the record, I would also love to see the Vettel maintain it lol.
Max is like a robot, the best driver on the grid currently, and even though he still doesnt have as much titles as they do, he is totally already amongst the greatest of the sport.

It's impossible to really know who is the best F1 driver of all time, but I believe that Max is most likely the one.

I remember back when Mercedes was dominating and Lewis was winning most of the races, so many people were commenting how it wasn't about Lewis' driving skills and how anyone could win in that car. I don't see that being said about Max even though he clearly has the most dominant car on the grid.
Would be great to have a handfull of races done by the Ex-F1 drivers. You know, Max trying to get Jos fit, etc. whehe. Valterri and Kimi training Mika etc.
You can only compare F1 drivers to their direct opponent in the same team and thus same car. Nico bested Lewis one season, but he bested him repeatedly over multiple races in a row. When Max Verstappen is defeated in a race by Perez, you could argue Max was simply not taking unnecessary risks (usually on street circuits); he's playing the long game to win the season. Not to the detriment of Checo, not at all, it's just such a difficult opponent to win from.
It would be absolutely amazing if we could have seen Lewis and Max in their prime in both the same cars. Then we would see who's the best. But even then you'd have people (rightfully so, I might add) argue: "Lewis is nearing his 40s, of course he's slower!" and: "Lewis isn't happy with how the car is!" and: "The team designed the car around Max because he'll be around longer."
Lewis and Max are both in a league of their own. Right up there with the likes of Prost, Senna, Schumacher, Maldonado, Alonso, Vettel, Mansell...

I don't know whats more exciting than perfection in competetive sports... Only problem is that Max gets canceled and I don't see him actually driving at the front!!! I invite you to track the time Max was shown driving so far this season, in most of the races I see him driving like 10 seconds or 20 seconds all together! How sad for the sponsors, I wish there was a rule like filming at least 20% of the time P1 15% P2 10% P3 it would be only fair for the drivers and the sponsors and the sport... Instead I have to hear the word "Hamilton" every 2 seconds and see Hamilton driving in P11, I mean WTF, if I want to watch politics I can go somewhere else... We will miss out a whole era of a legend and the magic he is doing with the car behind the wheel... As a person that has never touched an F1 car, I can have my opinion. So it goes, Max is extraordinary no doubt about that, but Perez has been driving terribly the last races. Absolute disgrace for the machinery that he has been given. I don't remember him having such streaks of low form, or lack of it basically. He is struggling to cope with it mentally I guess.
Not a championship material by any stretch of imagination.
Amazing how after Miami they were hyping him up as being in the championship run against Max.
Just a little fact I'll leave here. Mercedes and Hamilton won their championships when there was no cost cap. Mercedes spent US$450M each year. I could win a potato the F1 World Championship with US$450M. Interestingly Max has won his championships after the cost cap came in in 2021...
I see some conflicting figures, for example 442 million is named in 2019 but also 333 million. Can't really find out which figure is the true one.
And I found this on Red Bull Racing in 2019:
"The precise figure reported by Reuters for Red Bull Racing's expenditure was $304.84 million for 2019, compared to the $321.4 million spent in 2018, when the team also claimed third in the constructors’ championship with Renault engines."
So if Merc spent 333 million in 2019 to win then RBR was not off by a lot with +- 305 million. But still such a big difference in comparison with the RBR cost cap breach, I can see why almost 30 million difference can get you a better car.

Btw Perez is one of the worst drivers in the grid Qualifying wise. Not a lot of F1 drivers (maybe 4-5) could deliver such a bad performance, Qualifying wise, for 6 GP in a row with a car like RB19.

Also in case you missed it, there was a review of the 2021 season and letter put out by the President of the FIA that stated Lewis failed to get served 7 sustained penalties, and Max received numerous unjustified penalties, truly interesting how a fresh change in management should uncover so many unethical practices.
