Wooo!!! Love how the boom extended over the fence to dump the bucket! That would be an awesome addition to the farm, in what it can do and how versatile it is. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!!!!
I live on a farm in sw wisconsin and i like watching these vids to learn more and see how you farm. Im 14 so i like watching these kinds of vids and working on the farm. Keep up the good wrok
I bought a 2016 JCB 280 wheeled machine and now have over 1500 hours on it. I love the side door and the visibility. I also have an Arts-Way bedding spreader on it to shred round bales of corn stalks for bedding. They make a great pair! The JCB has been trouble free and handled -30 weather this past winter with no problems. The only issue I have is the controls are a bit jumpy and even after having the dealer reprogram them, they could still use a little more fine tuning. Slightly stiffer springs in the controls would also go a long way to helping keep the machine from getting jumpy when the machine bounces. I'm hoping to get a track machine sometime down the road.
It’s fun watching new operators. They can only do one thing at once. Can’t dump and move. Or release grapple and dump. It’s one thing at a time. Practice makes perfect.
Hey Ryan! Many times it's the tool that makes all the difference. If a guy has the right tool(s) (JCB Teleskid 3TS-8T), the work is SO much easier and a fellow can do more in less time with 1/2 the effort. Nice machine...now to justify the co$t. As usual Ryan, thanks for sharing your day with us...take care.
That’s a nice machine! Being able to reach over the fence and into the spreader is pretty handy. I remember watching the 773 loading manure and it can barely reach into the spreader if it’s right beside it!
We use a teleskid on our farm for the chickens. We love it and have a second on order! We currently run 4 normal skids but they will all be replaced with teleskids
Look at that reach !! That critter really gets a heaping mouth full with the grapple bucket. Sweet machine based on the video and recalling the struggles with your wheel unit.
Like the side entry, Much safer and easier. A article in a paper a few years ago stated that over 75% of accidents/injuries involving skid loaders had to do with getting on and off. We bought our first in 1970.
John L. Van Treeck yeah, that and also the side entry prevents you from having to walk under the bucket when servicing the boom or anything else requiring the boom to be lifted
That JCB looks awesome. Really like the side door and one of the reasons I never bought a skid steer is not being safe to get out with the bucket elevated. The other reasons being no 3 pt hitch, pto, can't handle deep mud, and have to haul between farms made loader tractors more economically sensible for my operation. The teleboom on that one makes it an extraordinary machine. IMO
Boy! that was a workout for the JCB. Also for the Kusters. I never gave it much thought that was the way beef is still produced. Within 15 miles of my farms there are not that many workers keeping the pens tidy for over 1/4 million head. No wonder the feeding industry left the corn belt for the High Plains from Lubbock to Denver.
I was impressed with the visibility, you can see what's beside you better. I think going over fences will speed up loading and spreading because you just pull up next to the fence instead of backing in. You build a good skid loader JCB.
I have the same machine love it boom is guaranteed for life no one else offers that but my dealer tried to sell me the MDS bucket too and it hits the boom when curled all the way back and the back is to tall and you can't hardly see the cutting edge when flat so I made a huge fuss and made then get me a jcb bucket and I love it especially the side cutters on it
Wow can see a lot of advantages to that machine in that area. It’s now the same old problem do the advantages out weight the cost. Great content nice seeing that machine put to work doing what takes advantage of its ability. 👍
We have a JCB 190T here that we've had for around 4 years on our farms. They are great machines and we've had next to no problems. We also have a Case and a New Holland around the same age as the JCB and everyone fights over who gets to run the JCB.
there a lot of JCB here in norther western Ont. the first CB unit i operated some 22 years a go was a rubber tire articulating backhoe loader, it was great as the hoe side shifts left and right about 3 feet from center, and being it dont turn by front wheels but from the center of the machine, it was a big unit but you could get it into really tight places and power to spare
How good is the boom over the fence for loading!? If the trough was moved there'd be no reversing trailers, so the operation would be so much faster :)
I’ve had 2 skid steers. A T33 Thomas very small model only 3 ft wide. Then bought a new holland L150. Nice machine. One thing you have to watch is traveling and stopping quickly with a heavy load. It’s just common sense because you can flip them. That JCB looks pretty stable on those tracks but with that boom out I’d be careful. Nice to have the use of it to try it out. What’s it worth. You should buy one up in Canada your dollar has 25-30% more buying power.
The tracks do seem to make the ride a bit rougher (just from the shakiness of some of the in-cab shots) but other than that it looks like a beauty. I was always a bit skeptical of skid steers that just had the one boom down one side of the machine rather than a boom on either side but seeing it in action is rather comforting. Also nice that you can actually enter it from the side rather than having to climb in the front like a traditional skid steer. That's a big plus for someone like me (6'1") who doesn't maneuver in and out of tight spaces very well; it's a lot easier to enter it just like a normal vehicle rather than climbing over a bucket or other attachment and then trying to turn around and slip into the seat without whacking my head on something. The telescopic boom on it seems like it would be really useful in a lot of situations and gives me a whole new respect for these less traditional skid steers.
One thing you might try is using the foot throttle instead of having the manual throttle opened up the whole time. Once I went to a hand control, I started using the foot throttle, now I believe it is even more smooth operating.
I'm not Ryan, but I'll answer anyway. It's called "Pen-Pack", or "Bedding-Pack". It's a lot of cornstalk bedding mixed with manure, maybe half a rotten bale buried in there somewhere. It's the result of wintering in pens. Stuff can be a bear to spread. The manure acts to glue everything together.
I can't believe the visibility, especially looking out the back. I always hated looking behind in my 773, that's really safe. Not to mention the side door.
Curious to see how it handles weight with the arm on one side. But I guess it’s no different than a telehandler. Looks like an awesome machine! Can’t wait for more videos of it.
That JCB with the telescopic boom is a great invention. It gives you better site from the cab and you can do so many things a lot easier way than with the older machine. You guys are not going to like giving it back at the end of the month LOL.
Hey Ryan, Thanks for the run down on the JCB, looking forward to your final comments on the Machine! I'm very interested in how they perform with a 4 in 1 bucket, etc, as there doesn't seem to be very many examples of this that I've been able to find to date. it seems to handle the Grapple OK?! I'm on 100 acres in the Northern Rivers area, New South Wales, Australia & I am looking very seriously at the JCB or Kubota Track loaders to clear my land of a lot of lantana & set it up for cattle etc.... The other main concern is back up service, but that's something which comes after the fact & JCB is an unknown in my part of the world? Keep up the good work! Cheers Aussie Steve :)
Very nice machine. Looks more than heavy enough for your operation. The telescopic boom appears to be very handy. Is it smooth to operate. Thanks for sharing
We demoed a wheeled on less then 2 years back. Controls were too rough. The cab rattled and it had little power. I love there telehandlers though and other equipment. They just need a bit of work.
Are all skid steers that rough of a ride? Im taking about the vibration in the brace in front of you. Seemed like it was shaking pretty bad. I've never been in a skid steer but we have entertained the idea to help with loading hay.
I begged my old boss to look at the Teleskid - Here is why - safety, your not stepping over hyd. lines ! No climbing on slippery components and hurting yourself ! The entry is as easy as getting into a car. Also when the time comes don't trash the tracks. When using the grapple I would take a old set of tracks and turn them on it's side and grab it with the grapple facing down. I could back drag and smooth any surface. It was easier than grabbing a bucket (even with a quick disconnect) . Enjoy watching and who is running the drone ? - great video's
@@SKC640 that is why i never liked a skid steer until i got mine like that.. if i ever recover it would be one again,, i hate regular skid steers, hard as hell to get in and out of, and easey to get trapped
You need to contact Matt at ABI Attachments and try out one of their manure spreaders. We are a JCB dealer also servicing a lot of diary farms and other smaller farms and the ABI manure spreader is amazing. They sell direct but might be able to work out a demo deal like you did with JCB.
Great tandum, grapple and boom with more lift. Is there a fertilizer value per head per month. It will be fun to see production in spread areas. Can you stack rounds 4 high and tarp. Greg Judy uses logs to keep first layer off the ground reducing loss. He also unrolls bales to spread nutrients. I believe you added cattle at the perfect storm for profit.
Surprised that Dad wanted to try out the jcb lots of older guys are hesitant to try out the new stuff especially with joy sticks. Did i hear you say freshen, boy you sure got a lot of dairyman in you,all my beef cattle buds say calved when we daried we also called it freshened. I think that machine will have a huge impact on the skid steer market, what was the lift cap on that? and
What do you value your cattle manure at as far as npk rating? Or do you just spread it and then do a straight spread over all the acres and just figure areas spread with cattle manure are just going to be better fertilized?
Wooo!!! Love how the boom extended over the fence to dump the bucket! That would be an awesome addition to the farm, in what it can do and how versatile it is. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!!!!
Looks like a heck of a nice machine. Nice to see it getting dirty and put to work.
I will say that BOOM is a game changer!
it sure is, once your use to it you dont want anything else on the farm
@Weaver Cattle Company well, alrighty then lol but it is neat lol 🤠👍 and 90g is a PASS!
@Weaver Cattle Company videos we lost the same time my ex sold it out from under me as i said above as well what i paid, i had it before the ex..
@Weaver Cattle Company speaking out of your ass
BETTER WITH THE MACALAC , it has it all
Brian, I used to be a radio dj in NYC. I grew up on and owned a very successful onion farm. I just wanted to tell you that you do a great job!

I love the telescoping arm on the Teleskid. Handle it like a boss!
Drove by your place a couple weeks ago and seen ya driving it on the road. Nice looking machine.
Look at that reach !! That critter really gets a heaping mouth full with the grapple bucket. Sweet machine based on the video and recalling the struggles with your wheel unit.
The extending and reaching over the fence is going to be the biggest plus to help JCB sell any to farmers.
Awesome machine. Love the camera setup, footage and editing.
You know your on a farm when you get a new skidsteer and the first thing u do with it is scoop manure lol
At about 3:35 I was panicking a little about the hydraulic hoses before the zip tie gave away. Lol
The visibility seems phenomenal from the camera perspective. I can imagine the operator's visibility.
Awesome machine , looks like it rides nice too ! Great vid Ryan ...
That Skid steer is the Jedi Master of Farm Work.....😁😁😁
that looks like an expensive but fun pooper scooper.
Boy! that was a workout for the JCB. Also for the Kusters. I never gave it much thought that was the way beef is still produced. Bobcat skidsteers with foot pedals are super fun to drive around with

That thing is a beast of a machine you need to keep it
The telescopic arm is the best when using tall machinery
We have a JCB 190T here that we've had for around 4 years on our farms. They are great machines and we've had next to no problems. We also have a Case and a New Holland around the same age as the JCB and everyone fights over who gets to run the JCB.
Nice machine and look like it was making short work in the the pole shed. Enjoy the video Ryan and thanks have a fantastic day.
That is quite the machine. I really like the side entrance.
Looks like a great machine. I hardly ever see Jcb around here. But i see a lot of Caterpillar. But that Jcb looks like a stouter machine

Loving the back to back videos!!!
Wonderful video sir!!!
Thanks for the video 👌👍
I was thinking that loading was a bit awkward. Then you got along the fence. Didnt think of that. Nice one.
Consider doing a video with each of you running the machine, and a roundtable discussion afterwards. I think this would be interesting.Thanks.
Some of those shots were so close I could smell the bed pack!! Great video work and an awesome machine!
Wanted to see one of these work, that boom on one side I thought it might be weak when you go into pile but it's not weak at all
Hey Ryan now that you have more cows and want to get another skid steer do you think a bigger manure spreader is next
Great video as always Ryan! It was awfully nice of JCB to let you demo this machine, and its great to see you are using it the way it should be!
when they finally backed the spreader into the pen... *satisfying feeling*
Spent quite a few hours in a bobcat. Love em
Looks great, I think that Tele part is very useful
I’ve had 2 skid steers. A T33 Thomas very small model only 3 ft wide. Then bought a new holland L150. Nice machine. One thing you have to watch is traveling and stopping quickly with a heavy load. Hi nice video .Have you thought about looking at telehandlers?
Nice to see a British name on your farm even though the teleskid is made in the USA
Nice to see JCB agri doing well abroad 🙂
But its designed and built in the US.
Sure is a big learning curve on that machine, I think it would benefit u Ryan
Ryan- do you just push and stack the poop until spring? Seems like you had 4 feet inside. I'm guessing it is also bedding not just poop.
Love the Tele skid 3TS-8T. so far .and it must be comfy too.
Good demonstration on the need for a cab!
nice piece of equipment there looks like it is worth its weight in gold!!!
I can't believe the visibility, especially looking out the back. I always hated looking behind in my 773, that's really safe. Not to mention the side door.
Nice machine we have a tm320s does a great job on cleaning out sheds and pushing silage in
That is satisfying to see the skitsteer taking a nice big load of manure
You can practically smell the productivity.
Who would of thought that a video about shoveling poop could be so fun to watch.
I'm sorry but I guess I havta be the one guy that just says you are one lucky SOB to get to demonstrate that skidsteer. I'm jealous!!!!!
Hey Ryan, Thanks for the run down on the JCB, looking forward to your final comments on the Machine! You will never get your dad out of it, lol.
Very nice machine. Looks more than heavy enough for your operation. The telescopic boom appears to be very handy. Is it smooth to operate. Thanks for sharing

Great job on the barriers around the pen look great 👍👍 use the same set up on my farm in uk
Man that thing is cool. It has to be nice having that extendable boom
Are all skid steers that rough of a ride? Im taking about the vibration in the brace in front of you. Seemed like it was shaking pretty bad. I've never been in a skid steer but we have entertained the idea to help with loading hay.
Well i know what my next skid steer will be when i can afford it looks like an awesome machine ryan
Give it a couple more months and every manufacture will have something similar.
I love it when companies think outside the box rather than making the same old thing
i could watch all day i think this machine has your name on it ryan
I begged my old boss to look at the Teleskid - Here is why - safety, your not stepping over hyd. lines ! No climbing on slippery components and hurting yourself ! Great skid loader 👍
Very nice machine!
Best machine for farm use
It is very enjoyable to watch this machine
Any problems with the torque on the single arm lift..Any Balance problems?
Has the state DOT asked about your corral fencing?
I know I could get used to Booming out!!!
I could get use to the side door pretty fast always sucks having a large attachment like a 60 in treespade then try to climb out the front.
If you have something that can do that you ever wanne go without
@@SKC640 that is why i never liked a skid steer until i got mine like that.. if i ever recover it would be one again,, i hate regular skid steers, hard as hell to get in and out of, and easey to get trapped
Putting it to use, I like it!
Nice hair cut Ryan! And keep up the awesome video
Ryan I’ve been doing some studying JCB has been building that machine since 2017 it’s very possible you could find a good secondhand one somewhere
it is second hand after being on demo
I don’t know what’s more impressive the extending boom or the three feet of shit in that barn 😂🤣. That jcb is freaking awesome.
three feet of shit in the barn lol!
the manure bucket that you have will it fit on the JBC
You need to contact Matt at ABI Attachments and try out one of their manure spreaders. We are a JCB dealer also servicing a lot of diary farms and other smaller farms and the ABI manure spreader is amazing. They sell direct but might be able to work out a demo deal like you did with JCB.

Ed Deetz
It is nice to be able to reach over the fence to dump.
I see there is a guard available for the windshield...

It be nice if the high flow would extent out with the boom so you could put a rotary mower on it to mow hillsides.
Impressive drone flying in the building
Hey Ryan seems like you have absolutely fallin in LOVE! With this machine, do you plan on buying it? Eventually? Lol 😂 cheers man
What do you value your cattle manure at as far as npk rating? Or do you just spread it and then do a straight spread over all the acres and just figure areas spread with cattle manure are just going to be better fertilized?
It is a strong loader. Manure is heavy.
I think volvo was the first with a side door on a skidloader
That looks like a very handy machine!
I know they loaned it to you, but where is it compared to your budget? Would this have been in your list of loaders to look at?
