- Hey everyone hope you enjoyed the reaction! I know I have posted this movie 3 times the past month, finally got a version to stay up and I just wanted this movie to stay up so bad because it is one of my favorite animated movies this year. So I did re edit the entire video, whole new cuts, and it is significantly shorter because of copyright. Same reason for the watermark, I don't know why my video has to be so short when some of my reaction friends have longer cuts with no issues, but I am just happy dreamworks let me keep this edit up on youtube. Once again sorry for how short it is, and please do not feel obligated to watch if you don't have any interest. This video being up is mainly because I wanted it to be, but hope anyone who watches enjoys!!

Hey everyone!! So for this reaction I know I have posted it several times, this is probably my 12th or 13th complete re-edit of the film which did have to be significantly shorter than the version I first uploaded. The only reason for this is copyright and I really just wanted a version of this video to stay up, so I did completely re-edit the video with some things I didn't show in my previous versions so it has some new footage!! Hope you enjoy and once again so sorry for it being so short and having a watermark. See you tomorrow for Beauty and The Beast Belle's Magical World!!

Not fun fact about this movies story:
Antonio Banderas had a heart attack 6 years ago, and a sequel almost never happened because of it.
If the story feels more emotional and personal, it's because it is.
"I'm death, straight up" is the coldest line in existence. Gives me goosebumps every time
Deaths Whistle is actually whistled by the voice actor himself.

I love how this film handles villains. You've got the entity representing Puss' inner conflict, the sympathetic villains with a redeeming arc... and the utterly hilariously awful one that gets what he deserves.

Goldis outfit and appearance is meant to show how she's been raised by the bears.
Her hair looks like bear ears, her earrings are mismatched like Mama Bear, the necklace and her eyes are the same as Baby Bear's, and the scars over her eyebrow match Papa Bears missing eye
Kitty lied about not showing up to the wedding. She just wanted to lessen his guilt.
The Last Wish was proof DreamWorks can go deep in their animated movies! I can see why it got nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.
The way Puss confronts Death in their final duel made him realize he knew he can never escape death, but the dagger he held during their sword duel creates symbolism of the one thing that keeps him living: love.
It's too bad that they didn't win at the Golden Globe and the Oscar's. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is still the winner in my home

I love Death so much, favourite character of the movie! He is no villain, he is just upset that Puss wasted something so beautiful as life.
Yeah, he's just doing his job.
I pre-ordered the DVD as soon as this dropped and I realized how amazing it was.
Fun facts: You can actually see Death before he makes his first appearance to Puss. He’s in the crowd on the upper left side of the screen when Puss defeated that stone giant.
The ”horses” pulling Jack’s wagon are actually unicorns with sawed off horns.
When puss fights Death in the first scene, he fails. But when he fights him in the end, he lands a kick in his face. He learned.
And when Death wistles behind Puss and stand on the rock, the surrounding area represents a skull telling us he is Death himself.
The wolf whistle still give me goosebumps 😳

I love this movie so much, the animation is stunning and the cast did so well on the emotions, had one of the best animated villains ever! (Death!) and everything about this film was just right!

I really dig how it interprets the user of the map's travel. From how Perrito having such a terrible life but is looking on the bright side grant him a sunny path to a wish he wasn't gonna make to Puss's reflections of he's pride and arrogants mocking him. It's such beautiful storytelling.🤩

This movie is simply spectacular. It has gorgeous animation, top notch fight choreography, great characters, a great arc for Puss, and one of if not the best DreamWorks antagonists ever. Seriously, Death's whitsle still sends shivers up my spine. I like how, at the start, Puss was bragging about having "never been touched by a blade." So the moment Death was actually able to cut him, Puss became a scared, anxious mess. It's the moment he realized that he's not invincible after all. Another character I really love in this movie is Perrito. His backstory is so horrible and sad, yet he still has so much optimism, appreciates all the good things in life, and just wants to help people. He's a perfect foil to Puss and Kitty, and he helps them both overcome their problems. We could all learn a thing or two from Perrito.
One thing I love about this movie is that they choosed actors from different backgrounds in a way their native languages and personalities would fit perfectly each character. Like Antonio Banderas to Puss and Harvey Guillén to Perrito, they all mixed their accents just right. And gotta say, as Brazilian, I have no words to describe how proud I'm of Wagner Moura's voice acting as Death. He's an huge name here in Brazil and his accent actually makes the difference as well. A masterpiece indeed.
Perrito is voiced by Harvey Guillén from What We Do in the Shadows, AND he also did the Spanish dub for this movie!
That's cool, that he did the voice of Perrito for the Spanish dub. Probably because no one could do it like him.

This movie almost makes me cry. I love Puss in Boots and the Shrek franchise!
Fun fact: the wolf can be seen among the crowd during the favorite fearless hero fight against the rock giant, watching Puss like "oh, this prick again?"
Also, theories say that the doctor is another reincarnation of Death trying to warn Puss about the costs of his love for danger, to which Puss laughs at, causing Death to show up in a more menacing form, aka the wolf.
All my life I've never been intimidated by any animated character except for Death in this movie, he just has that presence that makes you feel intimidated by his look, voice and that whistle.
Literally everything about the movie was amazing imo

This is definitely my favorite movie of 2022, it was just so well-written in a year of mostly mid-to-low-quality animated movies (in the west, at least).

Also, I don't believe for a second that Kitty left the wedding too. She just didn't want to push Puss lower than he already was in the moment.

Hey Nick! I have a recommendation for you. I can tell that you genuinely really enjoy kid's movies (as do I!) and especially ones with excellent and unconventional storytelling. There's a movie called "Ernest and Celestine" about a bear that becomes friends with a little mouse. It's based on a famous series of kids' books from France. Featuring really beautiful music and AMAZING watercolor animation. I won't say anything else that could spoil it, but I think you'd like it. Again, it's not well known, so if it doesn't make the cut for your channel I'll understand lol. But worth a watch regardless!
This is one of those situations where I really liked the movie, but I can't give it quite as much praise as everyone else is. So when I give criticisms it looks like I'm crapping on the movie even though I really enjoyed it. It's a slippery slope.
