Engine seems really relaxed on 120kmh, under 2000 RPM. That's exactly what I need so i can drive at 120 on the highway and don't stress the engine.
For those quick runs to the other state for a candy bar or whatever

Very very very good and informative video. I am planning to buy this V40 D4, but i can't seem to find restyle model with that engine, only D2. Do you think D2 is enough?

I take the D2 restyle model but I do a reprog and now, she do 180 hp with 380 Nm, also like a D4

@@jackpuel4022 How is that possible, i read on Volvo forums that D2 comes with low pressure turbo that can do max 130hp with it. You would have to change to higher pressure turbo and remap ECU, or possibly change engine and put two turbos, because stock 190 hp D4 comes with low pressure and high pressure sequentially connected turbos inside. I have "only" a T2 (2019) and my car also works with very little RPM. 170 km/h 3500 RPM.
1200-3500 RPM the best moment 220 NM, vor example the D2 diesel, 280 Nm 1500-2250 RPM.
Normalny I drive with max 2500 RPM.
I'm buy this car last week with 30000 km Momentum for 17600€ and drive from Hamburg to Munich with 6,06 LTr/100 km !!! 🤦 Very elastic engine, very good on the street. And no problems with particular filter like diesel. And silent, very silent....🛀

Da ich nur 15000 km jährlich mache, habe es ausgerechnet, dass es bei 2 ltr Unterschied diesel vs Benziner, monatlich 24€ vernachlässigbaten Mehrausgaben für Benziner bedeutet.
Hinzu Anschaffungspreis der Diesel, Service , kosten mehr und vorprogrammierte Probleme mit dem Filter, wenn man wenig Autobahn fährt.
Da es sich nur um Zweitwagen handelt ( habe noch einen XC 60 D5), habe ich mich für einen T2 entschlossen, da bei Fahrweise T2 vs T3 kaum Unterschied auszumachen ist und der T3 zu teuer ist.
Der Elch mit seinen 2ltr Motor zieht so elastisch und problemlos in der ganze Ränge, als wäre elektrisch, man hat das Gefühl den 5-6 häng problemlos in jede Lage einsetzen zu können.
Fahrverhalten? Manche klagen über zu harten Fahrwerk, bin Autobahn mit 2,5 BAR gefahren und wirklich perfekt, dabei liegt das Auto an allen Kurven so stabil, fast unglaublich.
Vom Auto-Haus Stade bei Hamburg nach München, war ich zu müde, daher gemütlich unter 140, meist 120 km/h gefahren, nach 900 km 52 Liter voll nachgetankt, das macht 6,09 Liter, unfassbar auch , wenn langsam gefahren. Bei 170km/h dreht er noch unter 3500 Touren, bin immer noch am sabbern. Schwarz solide stone, 17" Diamant Felgen, WR 16" auf Alu.

I'd not recommend this car, I recently bought one, 60K miles, 2 serious issues, head gasket has gone and the clutch has gone, 3.2k repair. Also the performace isn't good, buy a BMW instead if you want performance. I had a C30 D3 which was much better and faster, these are lemons.
No to Volvo in general or just this one?
@@tigerstripe3170 So the one I have is going in next week to replace the head gasket, rocker seal and a new clutch. I got a cheaper deal at a local garage. In general the car seems ok, so I might have been unlucky after some reflection and the repair is 50% that of Volvo themselves. I'll have a better idea after that work has been done, although Volvo service is the worst I've come across, terrible customer service. I cancelled the work with them. To be fair when I bought eh C30, there were a few things that needed to be done but it was solid after that, so I'm hoping the V40 will be too.
