Just to clarify: I read a lot of you having feelings about not waxing the hair on the back of the hair, which is fine, but this was a class, a demo for waxing back hair and the lady volunteered; she didn't just come to a salon to have it done, she sat on the chair so everyone could see how it is done with this wax if asked by an actual client. :) Thought you might like to know...

The hair does not stop growing, but it shows out of skin slower, because it takes time to grow out of the hair follicle (the root). When the hair grows out of shaved skin, it is already grown in the follicle, just cut short, so it shows faster, than the waxed hair. It could become softer when it is waxed and you buy some hair growing time. Hope this helps :)

Hannah Gorman No, it would _look_ thinner. Physically it would be the same as any other hair but shaving leaves a full thickness, flat end on the hair rather than having it regrow in the tapered shape like it would with waxing.

I never used to worry about my baby hairs back there, but I had the back of my head shaved for surgery and when they started to grow out, it grew out very different and crazy. I would love to have this done!

I think it looks nicer too, but he wasn't hygienic about it. He reused sticks, which contaminated the wax. He didn't trim the hair, so he applied wax to more bare skin than he needed to. He didn't apply the wax along with the grain of the hair, which will lead to ingrown hairs.

Either way it’s being pulled from the follicle... not sure why length matters... I know it matters if the hair is too short to wax obviously. Just not sure why it would matter the length of the hair that was already long enough.... I’m simply ignorant to why it would be better not saying it’s a wrong assessment. Thanks!

People, i have black hair and this ladys exact skin tone, i used to be insecure about these baby hairs, neck hair and side burns. But im so glad im over it without ever removing them in anyway. im 22 now and love these hairs they look feminine and cute. Once you start removing them they arent easy to maintain and keep looking un natural and not so feminine... thats just what i think. Just becaise you have black hair theres not need to be insecure. Blondies and rehdeads have hairs too

Considering that the majority of the time your hair is up when in service this is incredibly useful and easy method for controlling the baby hairs that hairspray can't help with. shaving doesn't have long lasting results like waxing does. thats probably why she chose waxing. Waxing pulls the hair follicle out of the skin (as painful as it sounds, they say its not painful) vs just shaving the hair off the surface, which would probably grow back quicker and thicker. No hair follicle means hair grows back slower.
Guys you do realize that this was her choice and she paid for this so why are you guys saying its a waste of time or they were cute? She probably wants to feel better about wearing a ponytail without those god forsaken hairs so just let her wax the fucking hair without lashing out on her.

That's the thing; you can wax the same spot twice with this wax because it does not stick to the skin like other waxes with sugar-like consistencies.
when using hard wax or cold wax you can go over the same area many times its made differently then strip wax
