I finally understand why that moment felt so impactful! If you pay attention to the aspect ratio (The black bars above and below the scene), it slowly expands the screen as it approaches the mountain. So when we first see the shot of wakanda, it looks GRAND AND MASSIVE because the screen is literally expanding without us even noticing. Clever filmmaking.
that wasn't part of the movie. the black bars here are part of the stabilizer that was put by this youtube channel. in theatres and blu ray the aspect ratio is constant
@@officiallynrgxlr8tr no, the black bars were a normal widescreen ratio, and it slowly expands to display wakanda in the imax ratio, as the wakanda scene was shot in imax, but the shots prior were not.
@@dosomestuff1949 the home release was a constant aspect ratio, the imax release did have some changing aspect ratios but that's definitely not the case here as it was never released to digital. it wasn't shot on imax, it was imax "enhanced," who knows what that means. the wakanda skyline flying scenes were completely cgi by il&m, so they weren't 'shot' on anything.
@@straykidsenthusiast there you go there you go again with the race thing with the fucking race card go figure and I dare to say that I am ashamed to be a black person
Honestly, the capital of Wakanda shown here looks amazing. Has a great balance in the fusion of futuristic architecture and traditional african architecture, clothing and weaponry.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news - this is pure fiction. The reality of sub-Saharan Africa is thatch huts, subsistence farming, selling your neighbors to European slave merchants and murdering each other by the trainload.
I truly love wakanda though fiction it does represent what technology should be, the loyal background assistant of humanity, empowering us but remaining in the background
That's a good question, from the easter eggs provided in several movies, they suspected something. After T'Challa revealed Wakanda's true nature, probably someone who said "I knew it!"
I think every country in the MCU went berserk when they figured out that Wakanda was the most advanced civilization on Earth for generations and *never did anything.*
This will never not be incredibly awesome, and the DRUMS! Sounds like Djembe drums, but I’m not sure since I played it in Grades 3 and 4 only. Let’s go to Wakanda, COME WITH ME EVERYONE WE SNEAK, IF ONLY IT WAS REAL 😭🙏
ok, let me say how important this scene was for me.. I didn't follow marvel at that time.. and didn't intended to in future, because I didn't know where to start from. Now, my cousin had one extra ticket for this, during it's release.. At first, I hesitated, then, I agreed. Went there without any expectations, the second this scene comes up, I knew I would HAVE to watch the whole franchise, because I fell in love with this movie, especially, this scene!! man, that a beauty!!!!!!
What i really love about Wakanda is how they combine ancient culture with futuristic technology that's kinda what i wish the world could be like. Still also like the old ways while also advancing for the future. Sorry if that sounds like a pageant speech that's just how i feel about it.
Serious suggestion: All the African nations should unite and fight against corruption, poverty and make that entire continent like Wakanda with science and progress. *But still stuck onto the cultural and ethnic style and architecture.*
What I love is that the don't have propaganda every fuking where you turn and everything is incorporated from the world around them... We love wakanda so much we should band together and build our own and let them have this place!
