i was at the belasco too. and my 60th bday was april 25. ;) and i totally agree w/ matt's assessment of magic being written by an "older" version of kelly. i keep imagining it being the song her kids hear in a decade or so and understand/feel the love their parents had when they were conceived. it's such a beautiful, beautiful song and of course her singing of it makes it so. it's like magic is the wise, compassionate kelly sharing how love was there and that no matter what happens you can't deny that. so beautiful that her kids will get to hear that someday. ps i agree w/ the theory about the line from magic being from the 2009 album my december too. and she clearly waited for brandon based on all the interviews so yea wouldn't surprise me if that was true. the whole album is delicious. actually relieved too to hear that it was hard to remember the songs/lyrics even an hour later cause it all came so hard/fast and it was a bit challenging to grab the lyrics too so glad it wasn't just me who had trouble hearing those. but magic, rock hudson, lighthouse and red flag collector. and of course fav kind of high. so much greatness in this album. it's on repeat for sure. see yall in vegas.
yes exactly other matt ;) ...heat is one of her best. could not, do not believe more of her songs don't get more airplay. she is so awesome.

Hey Pam. I love both Kelly and Taylor from the beginning. Taylor even said she is 33 right now and she talked about in Miss Americana that there is an elephant graveyard for female singers over 35. So she wants to do so much now before then.

in "Maybe" does anyone know why she refers to "touch the fire twice"? also, interesting that the lyrics say "one day we'll meet again and you'll need me" cause so many of her interviews reference that brandon kept saying kelly didn't need him and she would say but i want you. interesting now in hindsight. love....so tough....wants, needs....aligning ;)
