Important addition by Klaas Posselt ‪@einmanncombo‬ concerning naming styles: If your output will also include an accessible PDF, then it's not advised to name your styles just like the HTML tags. Instead add something to that name, or do not use the tags as names at all.

Very well explained. I was wondering if there is a way to use a shortcut to add a certain style after selecting, like in your example using H1. Thanks.

You mean like being able to use that "Next Style" menu with a shortcut? You can TAB through the options in most dialog boxes and when you are on a menu, then you can use arrow-up and down to go through the menu. But shortcuts you have assigned to a style do not work inside the dialog box. If that is what you were referring to.

@@Vektorgarten I just played with it a bit, so. Shift+cmd+f11 will open the Character window, then down or up arrow will take me to Paragraph or Character, but then I wish I could hit one key to apply rather than going up with the mouse and click. I have to study it more, I use illustrator & Photoshop on daily basis, but indesign it has been a while, but since your post I wanted to learn more.

I just asked my ChatGPT, it's crazy, it gave me a response in one second. But I have to try those steps.
"For applying changes in the Character or Paragraph panel without using the mouse, you can use keyboard shortcuts. After navigating to the desired attribute (Character or Paragraph) with the arrow keys, you can press the Tab key to move the focus to the list of attributes (like font, size, etc.). Then, you can use the arrow keys again to navigate through the list and press Enter to apply the selected attribute.
For example, if you want to change the font size:
Open the Character panel with Shift+Cmd+F11.
Use the arrow keys to navigate to the font size attribute.
Press Tab to move the focus to the list of font sizes.
Use the arrow keys to select the desired font size.
Press Enter to apply the selected font size.
This way, you can avoid using the mouse for applying changes in the Character or Paragraph panel. It might take a bit of practice to get used to these shortcuts, but once you do, they can significantly speed up your workflow. Keep exploring, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions

Yes, that's what I was referring to. I'm using TAB to switch focus in the entry fields and menus.
