I made this for dinner tonight and I think next time I will omit the cilantro and fry the chicken in a cast iron. My non stick did not do the trick. This recipe is exactly what I want to make tomorrow! I love lemons as well and we have a small improved Meyer Lemon tree in a container. It has blessed us with lemons for some years now. Man, my hubby brings that in so fast when we get frosts/ freezes! Sadly, our huge tangerine tree died in the snowpocalyps Texas had this year. We shared as many tangerines as we could before it hit hard. The wood from the tree is now gracing the bottom of 2 more raised beds my hubby made for me so we don’t have to spend so much money on raised bed mix. All that to say that I felt so much like eating chicken today but my sister made hot dogs! And, I will be going to H.E.B. to get chicken for your lemon chicken for tomorrow! Haha! I make something similar. But instead of Mexican Oregano, I use Italian Oregano, and Cavender's Greek Seasoning. ( Sold at Walmart!) Trust me, it is delish too!! Now excuse me while I drool over my phone! 🤤😂

Hello.Just wanted to ask.If I sear my chicken in the butter take out sauté the onions.Can I put the seared buttered onions in an oven pan add the rest of the ingredients put the chicken in that pan.Cover it when it’s done take it and add the cilantro on top.Because if I’m using chicken pieces It may not fit in my pans.

Cavender's Greek Seasoning is the best! If you haven't tried it with roasted veggies, sprinkle it on veggies and roast in the oven-so fabulous!!!!

Hello.Just wanted to ask.If I sear my chicken in the butter take out sauté the onions.Can I put the seared buttered onions in an oven pan add the rest of the ingredients put the chicken in that pan.Cover it when it’s done take it and add the cilantro on top.Because if I’m using chicken pieces It may not fit in my pans.
In the video where you mix the dry ingredients you mention adding salt. Salt is not mentioned in the list of ingredients. Is this plain salt or seasoned? What measurement are you using? Thank you for sharing your recipe.

I wish that I liked the taste of cilantro. To me it tastes like soap ☹I have heard that it has such a delicious flavour if your'e not cursed with the soap gene.
I LOVE IT WHEN YOU USE THE PURPLE ONION. MMMM. ITS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT ONIONS THAT MMM. LOL. I GET THAT SOME PAPER TOWELS SMELL THEY DO .EEWW .. BUT THAT WILL THE FISH TASTE LIKE IT ? HMMM !.,? This was delicious got lots of compliments, but next time I will use one lemon. Thanks for the tip on baking soda for that smell now I can cook chicken more often.
