    Rooney Mara is too beautiful. She's fragile, but not like glass where if you drop it it will shatter. More so like a flower, and you don't want to squash it because it will disrupt its beauty.

    It's about time we had a quality lesbian flick where you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. There's something about the build-up and anticipation in gay drama that has always captivated me.

      Is so different from the regular "boy meet girl" situations in all movies. You can feel the interest, the tension, the caution to not reading the situation wrong, lots of stuff in a cute, heartwarming scene with touches of sexual tension.

      Better than Blue Jasmine? I don't know if anyone is saying that, since many are saying that Rooney Mara is the one more likely to win an Oscar for this film.

    • @wilros2277
      @wilros2277 9 лет назад +3

      kellenabner Many are saying that it is either equal to or better than her performance in Blue Jasmine. The reason the majority are saying that Rooney Mara is more likely to get an Oscar is because her performance is just as good as Cate's and she hasn't yet won an Oscar whereas Cate won that award not too long ago, her second at that.

      Therese says " I hardly know what to order for lunch" and she asked the same food and drink Carol asked. To me ig was like she never had creamed spinach before and didn' t know how to eat it. Kind of funny but the film is so solemn and serious, kke people during the 1950's didn' t have silly fun?

    • @titaa56

      +tita adorno I kind of like the way that the camera didn't show them eating like they're really starved like Carol said.(I'm starved...😋)

      If Cate Blanchett is not the best actress out there, she's surely one of the very best among her peers.
      As for Rooney, she was a revelation in the Dragon Tattoo movie and look she's even better in CAROL.

      Another viewing, looking closely at the fabulous costume and production designs,
      Another viewing, indulging myself in the hauntingly beautiful scores,

      Come on!! You read the book and Carol is Cate or Cate is Carol. She is perfect for this role. Also, we see Julianne kiss girls many times. If Cate is nominate for this movie it's for something. Anyway, sorry for my english

      I saw the movie 3 days ago. I have not read the movie and wish I knew nothing about the plot (gay) wished it was a total surprise. Carol came across to me as a lonely woman, she is trying to divorce- why she married knowing her preferences?-- we are told she had a lesbian affair when young with Abby her best friend. She is nervious maybe desperate? When she sees this pretty thing girl in the toy department. However, she doesn' t persue her, she forgot her elegant expensive gloves and Therese mailed ghem to her. To me she is not cunning, she is trapped in a loveless marriage without options and met this girl. I have not read the book, this is my take on the movie character.
