- The NEW Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride at Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open to the public on June 28th. Durning ride previews to cast and annual pass holders the ride has been plagued with downtime and unexpected closures. Lets ride the splash mountain replacement and see if we can guess why this tried and true ride system is having huge issues now.

why on earth is there an indoor kitchen inside splash mountain? i miss the rabbit and zippity doo dah. they've killed off that era like briar bear & all the other parts of the resort that are no more. lost in time & their memories forgotten.
We had our second ride today with our DVC preview. It was down most of the morning so we kept the TBA Magic going by heading over to Port Orleans for beignets.

I wonder why Disney despite rising prices keep changing rides instead of building new ones? Any positivity of this ride is lost because of what it replaced. Tiana deserved an original ride & Splash Mountain should have just be refurbished to something else
They could’ve just thrown the animatronics of splash mountain away and made new A1000 ones. This is such a waste of

One time I went to a theme park to watch logs go down a mountain for 17 hours
When I went on it, I thought Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was great! It’s still in technical rehearsals, so here’s hoping the ride can get fixed.
In my opinion it doesn’t hurt for them to add the original amount of logs. I think they are being lazy and not moving logs into storage at night. The problem can be the duck valves on the back end on the bottom can break(lets water out of the log when on the lifts so you are not sitting in water). The other problem I agree with Adam is the stops are cause by those lifting points. They are problem prone and a lot of parks have gone to gates above water but it would ruin the theming. I hope they can figure it out.
I love the queue and can't wait to ride TBA. I believe they were having a lot of issues with this ride going down before the rethemeing. Why Disney didn't work on those issues while it was closed is the real question

Your analysis is spot on. It will be really interesting to see how they address all these issues by 6/28. I imagine they’re also under a ton of pressure to get things working perfectly by the time Big Thunder goes offline for track replacement.
Yes! You are correct, with BTMR down for a long time TBA will be in higher demand than just it being a new attraction.
They should have left it Splash Mountain. Disney cursed the Mountain 😢😢😢😢😢

Odd that the official Disney released video is more dull and doesn’t convey the accurate energy level of the ride than these videos by ‘amateurs’ without official access and recording equipment.
They wanted to put out a POV with the animatronics working fully before vloggers put out theirs with stuff not working and logs not moving. Problem was it was shot from a static position rather than moving around to see the scenes.
From what I have seen in videos, I think it is a great retheme. As for the unreliability, before the days of everyone vlogging, no one would have known a thing about it. All rides have major problems during previews. Yes, it is the same ride system as before. But they did major upgrades to the system and are working the kinks out.. I also think it is smart to teach the cast how to evacuate the ride before you open it to the general public. That is why they have previews - the ride isn't open yet. Everyone just needs to chill.

Probably pieces of the ride system but I would imagine not the whole thing.
The fiberglass lasts a long time especially since a lot of it is inside away from the elements of the heat

Looks like they gave yhis one to Imagineer Intern Wanabes. Extremely disappointing; but sadly, not unexpected. Won't be waiting in any line for this boring, cheap cardboard cut-out painted ride. Thank you for the heads-up preview.

The ride is fine for what it is. I would spend new dollars now on something else. This is as good as it will get. Move on.
