Can you tell me why it doesn't work for me? I have SD Card with 60 GB free space. But in the Offline maps settings (at 1:29 in your video), it doesn't show the option "Storage preferences". My SD Card was configured/formatted with my phone the first time I put it in, and since then I moved most of the apps to it, and has been working well. Do you know any solution?
I don't think it will work with Audi, you can only download maps to Google Maps ,if you have Android system with Google maps, then you can download maps to SD card.
Once you save your maps to Micro SD card, you can use it without WiFi or mobile data as long as you are in that area. For example if you have selected whole Manchester city and downloaded on your micro SD card, you can use that maps only in Manchester without any WiFi or internet connection.
This will only work with Android devices, so if you have Android tablet in your car it may work, your system is not Android then it's not going to work.
No you can still save your offline maps to SD card, the option will only show up if you have SD card present in your device. I have just double checked right now. I am getting 2 options to save my offline maps. 1. Device storage. 2. SD card.

Register your device with Tom Tom, if you are lucky you might be able to restore, your maps .

For some reason the App ( Google Maps) not reading your SD card, once you see the storage preference you will be able to save.

Only if your car has Android tablet, if have Android tablet then insert the micro SD card and open Google maps, follow the instructions.

Most probably not, because Maps are saved on SD card, may work if you swap the SD card , though I haven't tried.

No, currently Google maps allow only portion of the map, you can't even download whole country. May be in future.

You need to do through the App, not via Browser, I am using Google maps App.
