I had both but decided to go with the better one. That one has bluetooth with phone app. for configuration and monitoring and can do 4 A in a different manner more effective. Surprisingly did not cost that much more and it was a no brainer to decide which one to buy. My packs are built from recycle batteries so most definitely out of balance from day one and I need an active balancer that can effectively and quickly equalizes all the pack during use and not use. Originally i did not have the balancer but frequent failure and short of capacity when the weak pack brought the strong pack down during use made me think of a solution. Active balance is the solution that will prolong battery life and max. capacity usage. Under $100 is a worthwhile investment. The brand is Neeley i believe and there are a lot of knock off all comes from China. Where else would they come from? I learned this from this Australian guy off grid garage. He has a nice shop with all the nice toys and batteries and so on and he did a bunch of experiments on different active balancer. I give him credit for doing the work and the expense of buying those things for us to learn from . Thanks mate!!!!!!!!! I started this solar thing more than 10 years ago it was expensive back then on everything but now way cheaper and more choices. The more of us doing this the better it is for the environment. It is very satisfied to harness the sun power for electric use. Go for it people!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree completely. My loud fan dual 6s charger has been going for a week and I still have about 13 more batteries to go. I use a cradle system in series,. I need to get some sleep and I think your answer is my answer for sure! BT-Active BMS With Android app. That being said this is an excellent video to help understand how these things work.
Yes,, but I ran in to problems with how to put pressure on the cells to keep them connected,, and two cells in parallel,, and still have to use a BMS,, that comes to a lot of BMS's :-)
I need a good balancer for my 24 leaf modules for 24 volt system i have running my camper. My two stacks of 12 leaf modules are running two inverters total of 7000 watts of inverter power but they never see that much draw. One inverter is a split phase 220 powering my minisplit and the other is a 3000 watt with the camper plugged directly into it. Ive ordered lifepo4 cells 16 of the 280 amp hour to go with the 3000 watt inverter but still want to use the 24 volt 24 modules of the leaf for my air-conditioning. Any advice on a balancer would be appreciated
Looks like a very useful balancer, and my e-bike uses 14 cell battery. I checked on Amazon and I think the connector might be wrong size to plug into my BMS, the pins on the BMS are spaced about 1mm apart (difficult to measure). Do you think there are adaptors that would enable connection a smaller BMS plug?
i blow up 2 of the 1.2A versions because one of the cells were 4.25 volts wth...and how about this one does the high voltages dont burn it ??..and how about connecting and disconnecting the balance wires from the balancers to use them on other battery packs with already cables pre installed ?? i have the connector version 13s ...not the solder version...thank you
@@MyPlayHouse thank you for your reply....how about connecting/ removing the balance cable plugs over and over ?? my problem is im repairing 10s batteries and want to have them balanced after the charges...and remove the balancer and start balancing new 10s battery...all tips welcome.
Hi sir. I asked you before but I had not known this LCD. So : Is it a monitor to watch the voltage of all strings like 1-24s ? Could you give me a link to buy it or its name to search about of it. Thanks very very much ❤
Sir : What is the problem with the other device whis has monitor ??? I liked it ! AND : The device you explained it in this vedio ( 55$) , does it work with li ion batteries ? Or it is for another kind ? Cars battery may be ??
Nice balancer. But I am suspicious about your "teflon" wires. I would think polyethylene insulated instead. My only reason is that teflon to my knowledge is quite difficult or even next to impossible to colorize. Tell me, if I am wrong! You can test the colored wire insulations with your soldering iron. Polyethylene will melt easily, while teflon takes more heat than the old tin-lead solder. Maybe even more than the modern tin-silver-copper mix.

@My PlayHouse - Remove the connector between the red cables. That gives you als some resistor and you can lose some milli voltage over that one.
Yes,, but I also like to be able to see/show what is going on.
Your original idea to use wire holders to hold pairs of 18650 cells is great. I found some that house 6 pairs perfectly with the exact width.

@@MyPlayHouse I cap both ends with U aluminum plates and 2 copper contact springs. It works for me because I don't balance them. Thanks.

Yes I have had to do some cabling soldering as well.. to make it fit.
Am sure Active Battery balancer 14S can plug into right hand side of battery montior because they are connected together and charge from there
The pin spacing is wrong :-/

Hi ,,, I looked it up,, and - Working voltage: 1.8V-4.5V ,,, so not much room for safety.

Can this single cell voltage tester be used with EVE lifepo4 batteries 3.2v in a 4s pack so a total 12.8v battery pack?
I do believe it can,, but follow the links and see if they do not write that as well

Yes it shows you the voltages on all your cells in the battery.
@@MyPlayHouse
Its name or link please ?
If I buy 10-14s, can under 10S also use this battery balancer?
I would think so,, But I do not KNOW.. sorry.
How far did you get on your 1kwh 18650 power banks? I'm basically working on the same thing, but I'm just beginning.
I have 5 that runs, 4 that is running, and 3 that I have not completed yet.
Thank you. This is great information.
Glad you enjoyed it!
How is this balancer holding up? I have heard mixed results. Thanks
It is still fine :-)
Where can I get that bms display
Hi,, I have done a video on the display,, and there is a link in the description of that video : ruclips.net/video/Fo1N9RhQaGQ/видео.html
Sir ..please could you emphasize that the one of 17s works with battery of 16s and also with battery of 13s ? Do you know for sure ?? Thanks alot
Sorry,, *I do not understand...
Please .. could you give me the proporties of the rheostat you used in the video ..
I think it is like 5W from 0 to one or two K Ohm
@my playhouse what color is the led? Mine was amber, does it mean anything?
øhh I do really not know..

Does the light go off when it’s done?

They are teflon soft,, but I am no expert on that,,
Nice 👍

Too bad this thing doesn't have an ESP32 interface for the price, that would help me justify the price.
Yes,, it is weird why this is $55 it seams so simple..-ish
