GLEE - Finn Tribute (Into the Woods Movie Score)

Honoring what would've been Cory Monteith's 40th Birthday with a series of Glee tributes. This one dedicated to Cory/Finn's memory with one of my favorite movies scores "Into the Woods." A collection of times that showed how loved Finn was, how much he was depended on, how he grew and learned from his experiences, and how his kindness will be greatly missed. To my mind, Finn's presence on the show was the most important of all and the heart of the show truly died along with him.
Finn's story means so much to me as a gay person, out of everyone on the show he was the one I understood and connected with the most. He represents the rewards of stepping out of your comfort zone even if it means opening yourself to ridicule, that it's ok to take longer finding your purpose in life, and many of us will end up finding a new dream we didn't plan on but can be at peace with even if it means not getting what we most wanted.
The goodness within Cory came through beautifully in his portrayal of Finn. Very much like his character, Cory spent most of his life searching for strength, struggling to find his way and all the while fighting the inner demons that eventually overtook him. But he lived his life to the fullest while he could and made himself vulnerable while doing so which touched the hearts of numerous fans who are still captivated by his powerful performances where we could only see glimpses of the darkness he had seen but did his best to come out of. As well as the great amount of love he had to give which forever impacted those who felt it.
There's no greater purpose than helping others find their way out of despair by offering love and restoring hope which Cory also believed in. For that I dedicate this tribute to his spirit which, though greatly missed, I'm thankful is now at peace.
