@@Marzbarz62049 I was forced to take Chadder in as my first campsite visitor and I quite prefer him over Raymond despite them both being smug personalities. Though it is fun seeing them converse and interact with each other

The 2nd ever mystery island I went to had Zucker, the dreamie I never knew I needed. Congrats on getting Stitches tho!

When you called a peacock and a flamingo “ostriches” my soul died a little haha haha
Haha they're classified as ostriches in the game :) They're skinned to look like flamingos and peacocks, but because there would only be one flamingo or one peacock, the game classifies them all as the ostrich species
I hate how the peacock is female even though it looks like a male peacock.

I think it’s so beautiful when animal crossing players, especially youtubers with an audience, ignore the pressure to choose popular villagers and rather just stick to their values and take the ones they personally love. Heaps of respect 💗

I feel super lucky that I got Sherb in the opening week of the game. I had no idea how popular he actually was but I can't deny that it's justified, I absolutely ADORE HIM

Hey shari is great, she’s based on real monkey, Squirrel monkey.
There’s also a let’s player called Chuggaconroy who made a New Leaf series in like 2014 I think, and he had the same issue with Shari. He put a warning sign in front of her house

I found sherb but it was when I was barely playing acnh for like 3 weeks so I didn’t know sherb was popular but I’m kinda glad I left him bc the Island after sherb I got zucker and I’m really glad I got zucker

Reneigh was my first starting villager and I just need to say she is tops. I loved her so much, after a game reset (dont ask RIP) I just kept loading up the game until I got her as a starter again. She has the play hobby which means that she Naruto runs everywhere, and love it. Even her basic house is pretty cool (purple roof & black door).
Also it was a big miss to have Renee not be Rini, she's even wearing a sailor uniform and I feel like it's a rhino pun. I know Rini is only an adaption for Chibiusa's name, but it makes me laugh to think of a Rino version of Chibi Moon.
I had reneigh but as I progressed I started hating my island name ash I reset. I miss reneigh but at least I was rewarded for resetting by getting dom, a star lake, oranges and cosmos on my 1st try

One day I logged onto ACNH and Tom Nook moved Sherb into a plot!
I had no idea Dom and Erik were so loved. I got Dom as a starter and just found and added Erik as my first new villager last night! Buuut my other starter was Shari so that's...less lucky.
Ultimately I'd love to have a cozy little goth island with all the spooky characters.
I had the exact same starting villagers and I'm so happy they're both gone lol

MoltenSheep kinda the same with me. The first villager at my campsite was Raymond and I can understand why people like him, I like his design and catchphrase “crisp”.

I didn’t know much about ac when I first got it, so when I visited my first mystery island and got Sherb I didn’t realise how popular he actually was until I’d had him for a while
when i started playing i had good luck w campsite villagers, thats how i got octavian, sherb, beau, renée, megan. but then i started getting gorillas. like legit, only gorillas.
I actually got Zucker in my first villager-hunting, I think I spent less than 20 nmt. I did invite him to my island since I want all the Japanese-themed villagers and Raymond.

There’s nothing wrong with liking Raymond. I didn’t initially want him, but he showed up at my campsite on the same day I found out I needed glasses, so I considered it a sign lol. Turns out he’s very sweet and I really like him!

I’m new to the animal crossing world and I died inside when I watched your last video and you mentioned money rock island. I didn’t know that was a thing and was also villager hunting so I skipped the rocks. Now that I know about money rock island I will never skip over them again!
I agree, it would be great to be able to go to different islands from an NMT trip but I guess the developer's wouldn't have seen much use for it. They probably wouldn't have really intended for people to hunt for villagers the way they do.
I also feel like it's to elongate how long you play the game, which would be weird since the company wouldn't necessarily benefit from people playing the game longer? But sometimes it feels like the constant dialogue and repetitive actions like making things was done purely to increase your playtime. 🤷♂️
nah i’m sure they knew it’d be like that, they know the community pretty well since they implemented some of the things people wanted way before NH (like choosing a spot for a villager’s house, laying down paths etc) and there used to be a villager market in NL as well

Zucker is the sweetest guy, he also sends genuine art quite often
I love Merengue but I'm not a huge fan of Zucker's design.
I passed on both Meringue and Zucker ^^; And I don't regret it, I found Agent S, and she is now my favorite
The octopi in general are meh to me. I like Meringue because I love to bake and I want a cafe. But she’s not a dreamy. If she pops up I’ll take her, but I can take or leave her
I like it how you just leave populair villagers like flora or sucker and look for one you really like

Small little thing I do when going through mystery islands is trying to make Orville do the joy reaction with me. It tends to give me decent island luck, but knock on wood.
I was campsite grinding for raymond, and Sherb sat there, eating a chocolate donut, waiting for me. He kept complaining he forgot to bring his tv to the campsite lol

When I built the first 3 plots, I started hunting for villagers and hoped to find either Marshal, Raymond, or Sherb. On the 3rd try, I actually got Sherb. I hope you find him! He's the absolute most precious villager I have. He's pretty cute too.

Dom was one of my starters but I gave him away today to my friend. I like Dom but he is my friend's dreamie. I kicked him out via Amiibo, using Rosie's Amiibo. She has picked him up after he went in boxes and she's really happy.

My mindset is villagers are popular for a reason, but i’d only pick them if i _really_ liked them. (Bob, Zucker, Audie, Ketchup, Apple are all villagers i’ve had/still have)
