Welp, that’s obviously a price people will pay, but I think I’m out of the knife community due to inflation. I own plenty of magnacut and cruware already. Glad I bought it while Trump was in office. I quit.
Firstly, Lynn Thompson is going to come for you for that big knife comment! Secondly.. you guys are awesome. Just two guys who love what they’re doing and are kind enough to share that with us. I took one look at the Lulu and thought “nah, not for me” but after hearing Ben explain it.. I’ve just ordered one. Love your work guys. Never stop!
First, love the materials, makers. Beautiful. Second, I don't know which I love more about this video. The knife, Ben's hair, Zac's mustache or the thought of Ben making a fixed blade. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍻🍻🍻🍻😈😈
This video is great... There are a lot of people who gatekeep camping, and make arbitrary rules about what camping or "bushcrafting" is. The idea that camping is a game, is great. Like Ben said, we have a house, but we choose to go out in the woods (as remote or not) just to have fun, relax, and do things that we enjoy doing.
The excitement I get when Zac and Ben do a video together!!! I wish it was an hour long! Oh and I just ordered one… got the Zac discount it looks like! Thank you
Bushcraft is your own connection to the outdoors, alot of people who take it as a purity thing have lost the plot entirely....Excellent knife Guys ! MagnaCut is a great steel , Very excited to pick one of these up one day !
Love these guys. My people for sure. Knives and Stories, absolutely love it. If you know knives and you have done more than your share of blade work, then this knife is exciting. The size, the geometry, I can not wait to get my hands on one of these. As soon as I saw it, I loved damn near everything about it. Awesome work guys! Bravo.
Of course Ben would make a bushcraft knife that passes his finger test! Knowing he has a relationship with them, I will now not believe anything other than he is behind Civivi's mini kukri! 😂😂😂😂
Love all the enthusiasm and pride that this video is bringing! Im sure the Lulu is going to be another banger from the Master Storyteller Ben Peterson. Cant wait to get my hands on a Lulu. Like always, thanks for the content Zac,Jamie, and Ben. Take care Fellas.
Small knives are very useful. The Scandinavian grandfather knife has a two inch blade and you can do a ton of work with that blade. Nice job Ben. You three are great to watch. 🔪🎸
You two talking about knives are always great videos. :-) And the Lulu makes a very good impression and will certainly be a very capable tool, i like it a lot! Thanks for showing, stay sharp and best regards, Stephan
Awesome! It’s surprising that you also found that a knife at 3” is ideal for most bushcraft tasks. I agree with everything except the micro bevel. To me the advantage of the scandi grind is the mindless ease of sharpening. If you’re putting a 30° (micro) bevel on it that requires careful or controlled angle sharpening, you might as well use a high saber grind and improve the slicing ability of the knife. Make it work much better for food prep. As you said, you’re not batoning with it, so no need for that scandi profile. Hopefully you take this into consideration, and create a version of the Lulu with high saber grind.
love the direction you're goin Ben. the lulu is a sick knife for people just entering the outdoor knife life. if it was me i would not have jimping, and instead of microbeveling the scandi, a convex from the top of the scandi line would have made this knife perfect. the handle looks great and the size is excellent.
The "big knife can't do small knife tasks" and vice versa is usally more of a sliding scale. Everyone has to indivudually choose where the priority for the particular knife and task sits. However... It has to be said that I feel that a large/long knife does have a slight advantage (in tasks where you absolutely have to have the length).
Ben, I love the look of your LuLu knife, but $229 is a bit much for my retirement pension budget. My last two fixed blade knives were a Joker Arrui 9 and an ESEE Izula.
Being a Folder and Balisong guy, I'm ashamed to admit I had not really heard of White River until about a month ago. Then I got it in to my head that I wanted to start edcing a fixed blade.... Long story short this will be my 3rd knife from them now. I started out with an M1 Backpacker, then the AdventureCraft, and now the Lulu! I've been wanting to Support Ben but recently found myself focusing on made in the US products. So this just fits the bill perfectly. Btw thank you so much for the affiliate link!
I’m a basic EDC task kind of guy and don’t see myself carrying fixed blades. That being said, just watching this video makes me want to gear up and go make some fires/whittle some wood. 😂 I see it being said quite often and I agree that I could listen to you guys talk knives/edc for hours. Whether or not I pick one up eventually, I wish you both all the best.
onna be a big hit! I am gonna buy one to pair with my Joker for all outdoor adventures. Thanks Ben and Zac always great content. Also can't wait to receive my Lander 2 in November. I support all you guys do for the knife/outdoor world
Small knives may not baton, but they can carve wedges till the cows come home. I'm a fan of "big enough" Bushcraft knives. Between 3-4 fingers is perfect
I prefer to use a 5”ish blade Bowie knife for my camp tasks. it’s on the smaller side for Bowies, but still a good length. It can handle small knife tasks adequately, and similarly for large knife task.
You guys are great!! Fun and inspiring video. Really interesting info on scandi grinds. Haven’t had an issue yet with them but will be more careful now.
Can vouch for Australian & Canadian naming conventions. Nature Hike? Nah m8, You're walking, in the bush. Bushwalk. Same for the Canadian bloke who named the Walkie Talkie.

Welp, that’s obviously a price people will pay, but I think I’m out of the knife community due to inflation. I own plenty of magnacut and cruware already. Glad I bought it while Trump was in office. I quit.
Ben and Zac could sit and talk about EDC gear for hours and I would be all for it. Well done. Jamie isn't too bad either :)
Yesssss... a biweekly or monthly live would be great
Maybe bring in Kurt as well
Yup!
This is probably cut from a 5 hour conversation
You can’t take the marketing guy out of Ben. Always the story teller. Great way to sell. Knife and story are great!
Firstly, Lynn Thompson is going to come for you for that big knife comment!

Survival is to survive in nature when you don't expect it. Bushcraft is to thrive in nature and is mostly planned.
This video is great... There are a lot of people who gatekeep camping, and make arbitrary rules about what camping or "bushcrafting" is. The idea that camping is a game, is great. I respect that he’s not trying to oversell it, he told us what it’s good for, and that you also want something else for other tasks.
You guys summed it up perfectly with bushcraft, it's just a game. Come camping in the U.P sometime!
You guys are the BEST! You should start a new whole series together!
Ben's fixed blade knife, finally! It looks really great.
Bushcraft is your own connection to the outdoors, alot of people who take it as a purity thing have lost the plot entirely....Excellent knife Guys ! MagnaCut is a great steel , Very excited to pick one of these up one day !
I can't get over how simple the design is, yet it looks like a sports car. Nothing fancy or flashy, but it looks SO good.
I love how much of a great friendship you three made!
I love the new knife! My preferred size. I’m also recovering from my own Amazon adventure. Hot and humid to next level.
Following for years I know how much this means to Ben to have that knife in that style and size made in the US. Well done and congrats!🎉
Love these guys. My people for sure. Knives and Stories, absolutely love it. If you know knives and you have done more than your share of blade work, then this knife is exciting. For an in pocket edc fixie, it looks really nice. A scandi grind is not ideal for edc as it is for woodworking, but it isn't bad either.
A wild Lulu appears! 🤩
Dang, that Ben guy knows what hes doing. I'LL TAKE IT!
Love this idea. Ben is a master at making me buy knives. I'm a big knife guy too. Somehow you make small work for me .
Of course Ben would make a bushcraft knife that passes his finger test! Knowing he has a relationship with them, I will now not believe anything other than he is behind Civivi's mini kukri! 😂😂😂😂
Lol spot on
I cant wait to get one of these. This is exactly what i have been after to compliment my White River ursus 45. Ursus on my pack Lulu in my pocket. 👌
The Ursus is an icon!
Always love it when you two sit down to talk. Looks like a great knife for camp tasks. Great Job!
Really appreciate that Ben is very upfront about who OEMs his knives.
Edit: Man those sold out quick lol. Next run soon?
I’m putting in the next order Monday morning.
@@benbantersa slip carry, deep pocket clip sheath, for the guys who want to edc LULU would be nice.

So awesome that the knife is made in USA! Great materials choices too. Home run!
I’d love to see more fixed blades from Ben.
I really love how yall are transparent about the knife.. can’t wait to get one
I love Bens designs!
That little knife looks great.
Would love to see a 14c28n version of the lulu to bring it closer to a manageable budget.
Where are Kurt’s ham hands when you need em
Acta Non Verba in the Czech Republic use MagnaCut in their knives as well.
As well as some german factories. Not sure if they get the steel from italy however
Wow Ben, thats a winner. Congratulations on another stellar design.
🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥👊💥🍻2 shovels diggin it will b getting 1 soon 4 camping - great build my man
You two talking about knives are always great videos. :-)

Mannnnn, looks like you had tons of fun!
New knaf day is always a big day 👍🏽
I always enjoy your videos. It’s not about the knife but the story behind the knife. Love it
Awesome video as always! I think Ben did a great job with the Lulu! Really hope I can meet you both at Blade West!
Awesome! It’s surprising that you also found that a knife at 3” is ideal for most bushcraft tasks.

That BIG-ASS pot holder branch was awesome!!!

Omg, I gotta have that. So happy Ben made a fixed blade!!!!!
Shared in my edc group. Good luck that’s a nice knife I would love that it’s a great size
That Knife looks absolutely beautiful. I will definitely get one.
I watch the White River Knife video on National Knife Day every year. Good times. 😊
Would appreciate the link mate. Thanks!
Segment Mora Eldris format but lil longer blade is a winner.
Love it when you guys come together!! I love the look and size of the Lulu! Hoping to be able to score one eventually!
The reality is…😂
you guys really like to say “the reality is “.
Love all your vids though fellas!
Love your knife designs Ben.
SWEET!
I love White River Knives so I ordered one from you to try it out. Thanks Guys.
Nice to see the old gang back together again 🎉
Excellent thank you
Would definitely love a Bushcraft series with you two
Ordered ❤

Sure, but i looks awful.

Bens Afro is coming in nicely
Love youz guyz! ❤
Great video gents. You've inspired me to pack up the tent and go camping this weekend. 7th camp of the year so far. Time for some more whittling.

This is the video I've been waiting for and you should review the blackbird sk5 Zac.
Perfect little fixed blade, looks like a strong knive 👊
Rewatched after I bought one ❤

So happy there's a scandy grind. Excellent choice. Maybe someday there'll be a Lulu Large? Very excited.
Looks like a great knife, definitely adding it to my wish list.
By time I got to it only the black blade was available but I’m excited to get it in hand and I will definitely Edc this thing. Aloha 🤙🏾
I love it. Congrats Ben
That justification for not having a 90 degree spine is the maddest thing I've ever heard
Totally backwards logic, clearly a bushcraft knife should be designed by someone who is experienced in... bushcraft
The DBK guys need to get their hands on this knife
I’m a basic EDC task kind of guy and don’t see myself carrying fixed blades. I'm not a small knife guy. My idea of average is a Buck 110 sport. I would edc the Lulu. Sometimes it's fun to out of your box.
love the overall look of this thing! This might be my first knafs knife!
You should send one to DBK to test.
The knife is beautiful, thanks for your work!

That spoon 😂
Very beautifule knife, especially the forge finish is nice, i would love to convex the microbevel to the scandi in a mirror polish.
I like that one.
Such a great simple design. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of scandi grind. Make a full flat ground and I’d buy for sure.
You should definitely make a whole video about bush crafting
Awesome as always keep up the amazing work
Great video as always! As a leatherman fan, are you going to be covering the leatherman arc?
I have a folder with a 90° spine, all good. And that's if my lighter fails 😂❤
Great video as always guys. Thanks
I really want this knife it looks so good and have really been wanting to try a knife out with magnacut steel. Really wish I could afford it right now
awesome beautiful knifes
I prefer to use a 5”ish blade Bowie knife for my camp tasks. it’s on the smaller side for Bowies, but still a good length. It can handle small knife tasks adequately, and similarly for large knife task.
I like it wish I could spend the money to get one I'm going backpacking next Friday
