I would also add to your list about bringing a obd reader and checking for any faults. As you know you can have an engine light on and remove it with the obd reader and yet never actually fix the issue. And obd readers can be brought for as little as £5

Yellow is my favorite car color, especially with a black roof! If I had one, it would brighten up my day!!
Many years ago I read that yellow cars were involved in fewest accidents (and black most I believe). Easy to see why!
IMO Yellow is not most popular choice but makes a change from the black and grey that most cars seem to be these days
