The "life race" of stars, including the L, T, and Y dwarf classifications, refers to their formation, evolution, and eventual fate. Here's an overview of these star types, including L, T, and Y dwarfs: 1. Main Sequence Stars (O, B, A, F, G, K, M) These stars spend the majority of their lives in the main sequence phase, where they fuse hydrogen into helium. As they age, they move through various stages depending on their mass, eventually ending as white dwarfs, neutron stars, or black holes. 2. L Dwarfs (Substellar) Temperature: 1,300 - 2,000 K Lifecycle: L dwarfs are considered brown dwarfs, meaning they were never massive enough to start hydrogen fusion in their cores, a key feature of stars. They form like stars but lack the mass to sustain fusion and thus cool and fade over time. End State: They slowly cool and fade into the cosmos. Their lifespan can stretch far longer than that of regular stars due to their slow burn rate. 3. T Dwarfs (Cooler Brown Dwarfs) Temperature: 500 - 1,300 K Lifecycle: T dwarfs are even cooler than L dwarfs and are primarily composed of hydrogen and helium with some methane in their atmosphere. They continue to cool over time and do not undergo fusion in any significant way. End State: Like L dwarfs, T dwarfs will continue to cool and fade, eventually becoming nearly impossible to detect with conventional instruments due to their extremely low temperatures. 4. Y Dwarfs (The Coolest Brown Dwarfs) Temperature: Below 500 K Lifecycle: Y dwarfs are the coldest and faintest brown dwarfs. They are mostly composed of hydrogen, helium, and compounds like ammonia and methane. These objects are incredibly dim and are often only detectable via infrared telescopes. End State: Like L and T dwarfs, Y dwarfs will continue to cool, and they will likely become undetectable over time. They don't have enough mass to become regular stars, and they fade into a dark, cold state. Summary of Their "Life Race": Birth: These objects form from the gravitational collapse of gas clouds, but due to their insufficient mass, they never reach the critical point for hydrogen fusion, unlike main-sequence stars. Life: Their "lives" are defined by cooling rather than shining. Brown dwarfs like L, T, and Y dwarfs gradually lose heat, becoming colder and more difficult to observe. End State: They don't "die" in the same sense as stars. Instead, they become progressively colder and dimmer until they fade into the background of the universe, possibly becoming undetectable after billions of years. These brown dwarfs, especially the Y-type, can live for trillions of years due to their slow cooling rate, far exceeding the lifetimes of most stars. Their ultimate fate is not well understood, but they will likely continue to fade until they are indistinguishable from the cold background of space.

I think you need to take into account we are in the local bubble right now such makes us not grow but most stars are passing there huge clouds of gas and growing all the time.
and yes I understand the mass difference in a M to K type is crazy huge but your talking about a M class orbiting around for 100s of billions of years in that time it will continuously be adding hydrogen gas and other heavy metals to it from space dust
So cosmic dust adds about 40,000 metric tons per year to Earth's mass. and yes a star would prevent most from being added to it but we are talking about an M class star.
I love your video great watches but your leaving variables out of the equation as if things stay constant at which point we see them and evaluate them. Everything in nature is a dynamic system in flux being pulled and pushed by many things and changes over time.

Which star would be the sun?
I competed for how long the lifespan of a
star is🤓
I just looked it up on this future of the solar system and it says that the sun is going to survive for 7 billion and 891 million years the F type star is going to survive for about 3 billion years and the G type star is going to survive for about 10 billion years so it is in between F type star and G type star
The sun is classified as G2V type main sequence star.
G-type lives for about 12 million years and F-type for about 5 million years.
Blue Giant/O Type Star Went GAS GAS GAS
Failed star: Wait, only M and get it :(
I think you need to take into account we are in the local bubble right now such makes us not grow but most stars are passing there huge clouds of gas and growing all the time.
those M class stars will grow into K and G type way before they just float around forever
and yes I understand the mass difference in a M to K type is crazy huge but your talking about a M class orbiting around for 100s of billions of years in that time it will continuously be adding hydrogen gas and other heavy metals to it from space dust

I know that the sun is a G-Type star so it will live for another 7.89 billion years. The life span of a G-Type star is 13 billion yrs

Red dwarf? Ya the same when I’m at the market for 250B years and she saw her friend and chatted about 750B years
Fun fact: did you know x type star can live only 300 years if it formed today it will die in the year 2324
Red dwarf: you will not see me ded in the next 1 trillion years
