Thanks for the comment! This is so you can remove the camera from the small plastic clip that is attached to the window. If you slide it to the right (OPEN), you can remove the camera, if you slide it to the left (CLOSE), it attaches the camera to the small plastic clip attached to the window. Guess that's a problem when a product made in China is attempting to interpret English. Hope this helps.
@@mkdsk101 Yes, a magnet holds the main unit on, so you can remove that if you'd like to take it out of your car. The GPS unit I believe remains, so if you want to remove the main unit and the GPS piece as well, you'd have to slide the GPS piece to the right (OPEN) side to remove it. I think that's how it works.
Hi, I really hope you can help me. I have recently bought an Azdome M550 Pro and find that I cant set my correct GMT. My GMT is not a whole number for example +9:30 and the cam cant do it, so it is always showing the wrong time. Have updated to the latest firmware to no avail. I have spoken to someone at Azdome, and they claim that they only offer GMT in whole numbers, (which is ridiculous), but I have found a users manual online which shows GMT times with half intervals. Can anyone help please?!?
I just picked up one of these from Temu and was thinking it was not going to be that great considering I only paid $111 for the 3-camera model m550 pro. I feel much better now after watching your video you made it look really easy to install and setup! I appreciate you taking the time to share this information as I’m sure it’ll make my install go 10X smoother than had I tried to do it before watching your video… I like how you showed how to navigate through the different settings in order to get it up and running and for the money it’s going to be hard to beat as most of the other 3 channel ones I saw on Temu would say 1080 HD but once you get to the specs you discover that the front is 1080 and the inside and rear are 480 🙄! Pretty much making them useless and a waste of time to install… Anyways, I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your video and I will take the time to check out your other ones now too 👍

Here are the steps: To turn off the dashcam, long press the Power button and the power indicator will turn off (this will shut down the camera). To turn the screen off while the dashcam is on, short press the Power button once, the screen will turn off and the dashcam will stay on. Yes, you can detach the cabin camera when you do not need it. I hooked mine up via the hardwiring kit, turned on parking mode to time lapse 1fps, however when I go back into the files there are no parking videos saved for some reason.

Hello Sir. Thanks for the review. I just bought this dash cam 5 days ago and it's great but I have one problem that I couldn't figure out. Actually it's not a problem. Probably some settings I just couldn't see. I noticed you have the interior cam video also inverted (mirrored). In the footage you look like driving on the wrong side. I have the same problem and couldn't find how to fix this. If you noticed this also and found a way to fix it please let me know. Thanks again.
Great question! I tried to go into Video Settings, then Rear Mirror and select "No". Before this I'd selected "Yes". If that doesn't fix it, then I'm not sure what does. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for the comment! This is a first heard for me. The dash cam unit (unless you have it hard wired) should be self contained and shouldn't interfere with anything else in the car. Electromagnetism is a strange thing though, so just about anything can happen. My only suggestion would be to move the dash cam to another area on your window and see if that helps. Thanks for the comment! My best advice to you is to perform a factory reset. From the User's Manual, it states to perform a factory reset, (1) Keep the camera plugged in. (2) Please reset your camera on the menu or press the RESET button (located at the bottom of the main unit) ONCE with a pen’s tip or a paper clip. If that doesn't work, you can try updating the firmware to see if this fixes the issue. If it still doesn’t work, then please CONTACT AZDOME's customer service. Best of luck to you!

It's not working ! I saw if I turn off wi fi , it disapear, it's only method. It sucks because if WiFi is on , anyone who get in into my car can see the detalis on the camera screen and can connect to my camera 😁

Unfortunately, it seems the magnet is not working for me as I can't pull it apart, and now im afraid to break it. Did you have any problem pulling the unit apart from the "magnetic mount," or is there any trick to it? TIA
Hello. The AZDOME M550 dashcam is terrible for parking mode, the wire kit is installed in the fuse box and the motion recording option works, but I did several tests on the G sensor (for accidents) and the dashcam has some serious flaws. It doesn't change or save the crash (collision detection) and there is no warning letting us know that there is an incident when you return to the car and start it! If the vehicle owner is not attentive, the accident will go unnoticed. You will have to watch all the movement recordings for days in a row to try to find out if the AZDOME M550 recorded anything! When the car is moving, the recording works, the dashcam has a serious failure to record/change, as indicated in the manual, the recordings are due to knocks if the car is parked. 😮😮

Thanks for the comment! I’m not sure if the REDTIGER F7N line of dash cams have cabin facing cameras or not, but IMHO, from all the dash cams I’ve reviewed and owned, the F7N line has had the best camera resolution recorded on microSD card that I’ve seen. Best of luck to you!!!
Thanks for the comment and question! From what I’ve read on the interweb, the changes from the M550 to the M550 Pro are: 1. They replaced the HDMI connector of cabin camera with a USB-C connector, reducing the issue of cabin camera not being accessible to the host. 2. The rear camera is designed differently as the M550 Pro’s rear camera swivels and the M550 Rear camera I believe can only maneuver up and down. 3. I’m not positive about this, but M550 Pro touts that they’ve upgraded their WiFi from 2.4GHz to 5.8GHz, providing more stable and faster connection speeds to the mobile phone App. But I've also read that the M550 has 5GHz WiFi so there is some confusion here. What does it mean on the part attached to the window to keep the camera on the window where it says open-- close? Open and close what?
