    Mines wasn’t rusted as bad as yours but I did unplug mines then plug it back in. Once I did that the CEL came off and no more traction control, ABS, and stability light. Nor was the gauges acting up erratically. Fuse #2 in the fuse box under the hood also controls this module. For a temporary fix for a no start or limp mode when driving, just remove the fuse until you get a new ESCM.

      Pulled fuse 2 and 9 (mine is an 07 ext) so abs 2 was 9 not sure if it's called something specific. It's dark out so not dropping the tire again. I did it earlier but only unplugged it and plugged it back in didn't try starting it with module unplugged 🤦‍♂️

      @ possibly could be a bad ground from the battery to engine block. In my case, the engine block was filed down so much from sanding that the connection wasn’t good anymore. It took me awhile to figure this out after replacing my starter like 2x. I watched this video and another one he has…ruclips.net/video/-fyKizH_oQ8/видео.htmlsi=Pxxfcru1doWAXipd

    Good find. Absolutely ridiculous for a car not to start for this reason. I'm working on an 06 DTS that won't start now. All I did was replace a rusted brake line and re-bled the line. Starter is fine. I will definitely never buy a car that is this fancy and non serviceable.

    The ABS module would cause a no start no crank to I unplug my abs module underneath the driver's door and my Escalade started up I tried your method first and it started up then another RUclipsr told me to plug the green wire back in and unplug the ABS module and I did in the truck started up so that means I have to change the ABS and the active suspension control module will cause the same thing no crank no start and the ground strap on the block to the engine will cause the same thing too and the fuel pump control module will cause the same thing too

    • @rezcarguyz26
      @rezcarguyz26  Год назад +2

      Well I think they might run through the same circuit/wiring harness. I never changed my ABS module only the electronic suspension control module and it’s been running fine. I’m not sure of your diagnosis of your vehicle but my issue was the suspension module and that cleared up the no start/no crank issue and also many other issues that were going on with the vehicle at the time, they were all attributed to a faulty electronic suspension module.👌

      Might be the throttle body that’s stuck. When the throttle body on these vehicles get old they are prone to get stuck when it gets hot. (The aluminum body heats up and swells binding the throttle intake blade.)If you were driving the vehicle hard and then noticed this is when it happened that is a clear indication the throttle body might be the issue. This also has happened to me recently and I purchased a brand new GM genuine throttle body from RockAuto because they have the most affordable high quality parts. Being a very sensitive and critical part of the vehicle safety wise I would highly suggest replacing with only brand new GM genuine parts. They are a little more expensive but if you have driven your vehicle 200,000 miles now I’m sure the GM factory part should give you hopefully another 200,000 miles. I will post a video with more details and change procedure in the coming future. Hope this helps. Do they all have to be programmed? Is there any that just plug in? I'm getting those stabilitrak lights just like yours. But runs fine sometimes just goes crazy and shifts weird. But anytime before it goes crazy I get the service suspension message first. That's why I think my problem is starting there.

      Yes the location is under the rear trunk compartment under the truck, the module sits overtop of the spare tire. If it acts up on you in a pinch you might be able to just unplug it and see if it can make it home..
