Followed this almost step-by-step, you can probably do the same repair on a 2016 Accord if you don’t remove the entire door panel and only remove the panel that covers the interior side of the mirror. It’s nested into the interior door panel, but you can pop it out pretty easily without damaging anything. Hope this helps someone else in the future.
Thanks for posting this! FYI for others, I wasn't able to get the door panel back on unless the triangle speaker panel was not yet installed. So instead, I put the door panel on, then the speaker

It's really not that crazy just watch a couple times and get some trim tools
