Pastor Michael is obviously not teaching his own beliefs. His style of teaching was perfect for me. I have seen tons of explanations of this stuff and finally I get it. At my age and for the past 17 years I am finally starting to understand that folks from the pulpit haven't been teaching the full truth. Thanks Pastor Michael.

@@threelittlebirds274 I would like to point out that honestly I didn't even know what a preterist was until after reading the Bible and wondering if maybe other ppl have thought maybe the apocalypse has already happened and that's when I stumbled across the peterist view. And while I don't fully believe in everything most preterist believe that all of the events in revelation have already happened, judgment day, new heaven, new earth. This to me seems unlikely since the devil is apparently still in our world. I am more along the lines of what you would call partial preterist. I truly believe that we are in the short season because if you read revelation you will clearly see that mark of beast, apocalypse happen then 2nd coming , 1000 year reign, Satan let loose for short season to once again to deceive the nations ( time that most likely seems to be ours), then the march around the camp of the saints, then judgment day, then new heaven, new earth, here's why I think we are in short season.
So how do you know that the apocalypse hasn't happened yet? I spiritually challenge anybody else that is still expecting the tribulation and rapture to still happen to look into this before you answer. Not only are here are many clues that this has already happened but there also has been great lengths to bury our history. Also did you know there are Bible verses?
Many of the ppl of Jesus' time thought that he would come back in their life time because they were told that.
"Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
      Revelation 1:7 NASB1995"
      see also
      Matthew chapter 24
Luke chapter 21 cross referencing also Rev chapter 20.
      This guy here: ruclips.net/video/-8Kc-httqnE/видео.html
is also very helpful, as he has made a video of literally at least 15 or more scriptures and he points out some very interesting things I never thought about, or just overlooked, that are undeniable proofs that the apocalypse already happened that are in the Bible. There are many scriptures that suggest that the kingdom came and went. We are the end, the "short season"
Or the "pre judgment " day ppl. Satan has already been bound and let loose and is now deceiving the nations.
When the Bible says that the devil is the father of this world, he really is, he's the same lyer that tell us we evolved from apes, and life is meaningless what else should we question that they tell us? Everything! I will also say that This subject is next to impossible to find any information about on google and youtube who love to censor truth so if this interests you and you'd like to look into some of this yourself i can send you more links just let me know.
There are many things we are told that just aren't true and once you start looking into what we are told about American history alone is undoubtedly impossible the sheer construction of our modern day cities and buildings, and sewer and subterranean networks all across this plane alone should raise suspicion and anyone that can think for themselves. considering what? That a bunch of pilgrims on horseback are the ones who constructed these cities? Look at huge old buildings like Cathedral of St. John the divine en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_St._John_the_Divine of New York City,. Look at this ridiculous narrative that we are given and start asking questions?
It's ok to admit that we have all been fooled by the devil but we have to admit that we have been fooled if we want God to give us discernment to know the truth.

That's not what He said. He said that some there would see the Son of Man in Power (paraphrasing) and the very next set of verses He does just that on the Mount of Transfiguration when James, John, and Peter meet Moses, Elijah, and a Glorified Christ.

    • @mrtee3988
      @mrtee3988 Год назад +5

@@davidkayumy8081 No, it's not referring to the transfiguration. Have a look:
*Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.*
*28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.*
*Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:*
Our Lord says the "some standing here" thing back in chapter 16, which is followed by the transfiguration. Obviously the event still hadn't occurred even up to chapter 25 (as quoted above). It gives the detail about the involvement of angels, which is aditional proof it's not about the transfiguration.
Furthermore, the part about him sitting upon the throne. That it fits with preterist idea of Jesus being the current and reigning King presently, diminishing the enemy under his feet. Futurists have Jesus reigning in the future millenium, not now (some even say Satan is ruling the world, which is complete nonsense). Obviously he doesn't ascend to the throne at the transfiguration, he hadn't even gone to the cross yet.
*Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.*
Note this is also after the transfiguration in chapter 17. He says "when" he shall sit on the throne, showing he hadn't done it yet. Every verse is from Matthew and orderly, these points cannot be refuted.

Every little detail must be taken into consideration. Misinterpreting exist and this is a very serious subject. From what I've seen people that believe that all of that already happened don't believe Jesus is savior because he fulfilled through the second coming. Believing this and being wrong means your soul. My question is why is there still evil in the world? There's people that worship fallen angels and giants there's giants arounr still cults and satanic symbology. Demons are still around too look into any celeb or person that has schizophrenia or you can do satanic prayer like I was forced too and something (I think would be a skin walker) starts following you around. There's a lot of evil still left in the world and it doesn't make sense that God would just leave this place in shambles. There's also weird happenings in the sky and around us. Two moons two suns UFOs black hole suns black suns Red planets blood sky's darkness in the middle of the day. Not only that but a digital currency is on the way same with IDs drivers licenses medical cards..likely all that I just mentioned will be in some way a prerequisite to the mark of the beast. Elon talks about how everyone will have a worldwide income because nobody will be working which proves even further that theyll control our money. You can't talk about Jesus in iseral anymore and they're building a church that'll be the catalyst for the one world religion. The church I'm speaking of houses all 3 Abrahamic religions as one. Everyone is turning into degenerates with only fans porn live leak gore videos people are becoming more violent and numb to empathy. The world economic forum is talking about putting chips in our heads eventually and owning nothing and liking it. By 2050 everyone will be moved into 15 min city that way they can control the masses better. Baphomet statues are being erected everywhere and the entertainers are being more and more obvious with their love for Satan. WW3 is also right around the corner. If nuclear winter sets in then that's when they'll come up with a world wide peace plan the embryo of the one world government ie UN will be in control. That's what I think will happen. In the next few years of ww3 happens I'll no longer take preterism into consideration. There's far too many odd things happening in our world that mind you nobody alive has seen until now that is going down. If you can explain away everything I just said I'll be open to it but all that I've learned points us to revelations

      4. Isa. 66:8 was fulfilled on May 14, 1948.
Rev. 12:1 was in Virgo, bathed in the sun with the moon at her feet with 3 planets in Leo making the 12 stars in the crown. This fulfilled on 9\23\2017 on the Feast of Trumpets. Last time this happened was 4973 BC.
Rev. 12:2 is from 70 ad to 5\14\1948.
Rev. 12:3 is in the constellation dragon Identifies the dragon as the 7 states that became the Arab League of States. They made a Pact with Hitler to not allow Jews to migrate to Palestine but to burn them instead. Ursa Minor is surrounded by the dragon's tail were the swastika originated. Polars is in Ursa Minor making it the only constellation visible both day and night; Rev. 12:10.
Rev. 12:4 and the tail (with swastika) drew (into death camps) the one third (6 million) of the stars of heaven (Jews Gen. 22:17) and did cast them to the earth (gassed and burned) and the dragon stood over the woman (Jacob's children) to devour her child (Newborn Nation of Israel, Isa. 66:8) as soon as it was born (ALS attacked Israel the day it was born)".

One comment. A preterist / post millennial (as I believe per scripture exegesis) doesn’t focus really on the new creation as the next event, but rather advancing the kingdom of God in the earth as commanded in the great commission. Also a preterist does not mean we believe the “entire” book of Revelation was past. Some things are yet to be, such as the final resurrection, final judgement, or the great white throne. But as a whole, Revelation is not about the consummation of all things at the end, but rather the commencement or launching of Christ’s kingdom to all the nations. That is why it concludes with the words “come”.
“The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.”
This is an invitation going forward to the nations, of which continues today.

      @ColumbusEvangelicalChurch  3 года назад +2

Hi Tim, great observation! you're correct that many people who would self-identify as "preterist" do not see the entire book of Revelation as occurring in the past. In fact usually self-identifying preterists will typically divide into two main camps for those who are partial-preterists and full-preterists. One of the key identifiers between these two camps is what happens next in the story line of Revelation. Typically a partial-preterist would see the next event as the launching of Christ's kingdom to all the nations. However a full-preterist would typically see events like the final resurrection, final judgement, and the great white throne as already fulfilled.

Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order )
Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse.
Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb.
Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present?
The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ.
He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18.
The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15.
The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13.
He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet?
He comes on a horse in chapter 19.
      Chapter 20?
Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1?
(The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.)
There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46.
Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked?
Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner.
Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book.
The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return.

It's important to understand there's alot of Poetic Imagery and Apocalyptic language in Revelation.
Things which symbolize/signify 1:4 and we must understand it from the hebraic readers perspective as well, what would have it meant to the 7 churches in Asia Minor reading John's letters.
A 1000 mathematical years are not permitted within the definitions and usages of shortly (tachos) and at hand/near/soon (eggus).
A 1000 yr reign is only used in Chpt 20.So in Revelation either shortly,at hand, near, soon, have to be taken figuratively or A 1000 yrs has to be taken figuratively.Tachos & Eggus are NEVER used figuratively in scripture & A 1000 yrs is virtually ALWAYS used figuratively.
Was there ever a promised earthy utopia to be involved with it according to Lk.17:20-21 & Rev.21:1 ,Isa.65:20 involving people dying & sin under the New Heavens & New Earth,as dogs and murderers prowl outside the New Cov.City 22:15.as the nations are still in need of healing 22:2 and evangelism is still going on 22:17 Dan.12:2-3?
Had not the Heavenly Jerusalem arrived in the 1st century Heb.12:22?
Does not the Kingdom bind the strong man Mt.12:29 Rev.20:2?
The Apostle Paul quotes Isa.11:10 in Rom.15:12 there shall be the root of Jesse, and He shall rise TO REIGN over the Gentiles and in Him shall the Gentiles trust! NOTE also that Isaiah states states "AND IN THAT DAY" there shall be the root of Jesse ...What Day? Paul's day,the same day when the wolf, kid calf, lion, fatling,a little child,a cow,a bear, are all getting along fine.
The Gentile nations would miraculously be living together w/ the True Jews of Israel (Eph.2:12-14) as the Prince of Peace breaks down every barrier between them. This is how Peter understood the various beasts that they were communicating to the Gentiles in Acts 10!
What is the NEW HEAVENS AND EARTH communicate in 21:1?
In Duet.32:1 Give ear O yea Heavens O Earth the words of my mouth,Moses is addressing the Cov.people the congregation 31:30 & in Isa.1:2 Jerusalem the Cov.people are being addressed 1:1 ..In Isa.49:13 as well.
Mt.5:17-18' Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till HEAVEN and EARTH pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Did Jesus fulfill the law & prophets? Yes! And since He did HEAVEN & EARTH have passed away! That is the Old Cov.law & prophets have passed away and ALL things become NEW in Christ!
Jesus is contrasting the Old.Cov.with the New Cov.whos contractual words of the New Cov.will never become dormant and pass away 2Cor.5:17 Rev.21:5 Mt.24:35!

Thanks for the feedback. However, this seems to be more of a general issue that every interpretive perspective of Revelation will suffer from. Even a premillennial dispensationalist perspective (which is a very narrow interpretive lens) will still have variances on "which event correlates to which prophesy". With preterism in particular I think what you might be noticing is that the lack of agreement is just more pronounced.

The concept of the "interpretive lens" is solid, yet few people would readily admit as to how it forms their doctrines. One thing that has dramatically shifted in my lifetime is that the Roman Catholic Church was identified in the past as the great harlot of Revelation. Once a popular view throughout the 1889s and 1900s, this has, in some ways, now dropped off because of the internal problems of the RC Church since about Vatican II. A typical RC Church now has trouble find priests and nuns, attendance is down, churches are closing/consolidating and most around here cannot put on a decent Lenten Fish Fry. A huge change for the Preterist view started to occur in the late 1800s with the Zionist Movement gaining traction. While Premillennialists had been avowing a necessary Jewish presence in a restored Israel, Preterists became shocked as Jewish state around Jerusalem went from a dream to reality in under a century which looked to be a vindication for the Premillennial position. Now, more and more former "Pre-Tribbers" are switching to Pre-Wrath or Post-Trib positions and leaving the Scofield/Larkin timeline.

I’m new to prophecy, and I still don’t have a firm belief yet, but in regards to the 20th century wars and deaths, is it still accurate to say it was worse than the Middle Ages , where you had plagues that basically took out almost half the population? Yes , if I was in the late 19th century and lived to see these two wars that would put some shade on post millennial views, however, if you holistically look at all of the years after 70AD, couldn’t you say yes it was very bad, but still overall, things have improved and gospel is spreading?

Yeah the truth is that in the modern day, things are far, far better than they were in the past. In our current time period we're on a slight downward slant compared to how it was 50-100 years ago, but compared to medieval times? Yeah we're not in nearly the same situation as back then, not even close.
The main reason people don't believe the destruction of Jerusalem fits is because most people haven't studied history all that much. Reading through Josephus, though... it was incredibly brutal.

    • @james-cq3mi
      @james-cq3mi 9 месяцев назад

      @bradphi2359 Gods plan all along.
      Final seven feast days
The cumulation of the seven feast days of God’s prophetic calendar would be carried out once and for all, perfectly by Christ, within Daniel’s 70 weeks.
This would be compared to the old covenant where the High Priest would enter in to offer the blood sacrifices and then come out of the Holy of Holies once a year for cleansing of the flesh of the Israelites (Hebrews 9:12:13) and not for redemption. This practice was just a shadow of the good things that were about to come, where Jesus would come out of the most holy place, in the day of judgment of the old Covenant people, but this time there will be complete redemption, and for the harvest, where all men were forgiven, and the resurrection of all those that sleep, once and for all.
      • (Passover) God passed over the Hebrews, blood over their door. Christ’ shed blood
      • (Unleavened bread) Hebrews ate bread with leaven removed. Our sins buried with Christ, when He rose, we rose with him.
      • (First fruits) Hebrews to bring sheaf of first fruits. After Christ rose, He was the first fruit.
      • (Pentecost) Hebrews had to wait 50 days after first fruits. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit 50 days after his resurrection.
Jesus says there are still 4 months, and then comes the harvest. (John 4:35) Rabies calls this four-month time period, the time for the waiting for judgment. This 40 years before judgment would be where the gospel was preached to all nations and the shadowing the 40 years in Exodus.
James talking to the first fruit generation, the first four feast days early rain, says it this way. The latter rain, the last 3 feast days, the coming of the Lord, has drawn near. Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! (James 5:7-9)
      • (Feast of the trumpet’s) judgment (Rosh Hashanah) in 70 AD, their whole way of life was completely destroyed.
      • (Feast of atonement) (Yom Kippur) Jesus came down from the most holy place for a final atonement, like He said He would, in their generation. The high priest of old would come out of the holy of holies to give blessings of the sacrifices.
      • (Feast of tabernacles) (Sukkot) resurrection of the dead and the harvest.
Now we are in the new heaven and a new earth.
      • Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. Revelation 21: 1, 22
      • In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Hebrews 8:13
      • “This is the covenant that I will make with them after that day, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and I will write them on their minds,” 17 “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17

That's a great question, I'm sure there are those who might possibly self-identify as both Lutheran and preterist. However, Martin Luther himself is typically associated with the amillennial perspective. Here's a quote that describes Luther's particular perspective in more detail:
"In Luther's view of the millennium and end-time-one of the major facets of his teaching on the last things-he was a follower of the basic Augustinian amillennial view, as we have already noted. In his exposition, he rejected chiliasm and forcefully pointed out that the "thousand years" of Rev 20 began at the time when the book of Revelation was written. The end of this time period, the release of Satan according to Rev 20:7, he viewed as being the papacy's becoming the antichrist when Gregory VII became pope in 1073 and signaled his desire for world dominion. A second event causing Luther to think that Satan had been released and thus that the end of the millennium had already come was the Turkish threat to the Christendom of Europe."

Do you believe this happened in the first century? Matthew 24:30-31: “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then ALL the peoples of the earth (NOT just Jerusalem) will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, (NOT just Jerusalem) from one end of the heavens to the other." IF this happened in the first century and ALL the peoples of the earth saw the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, I think it would be the most spectacular event in all of history and historical records around the entire world would be rife with reports of dumbfounded people in total shock at the most amazing sight ever! Notice it says ALL the people of the earth and not just those around Jerusalem. Or are you saying All the peoples of the earth is a metaphor for people around Jerusalem. Also, Peter says, "The Day of the Lord comes as a thief, the heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will melt in fervent heat, and the earth and all its works will be laid bare. Sorry, this did NOT happen in the first century Jerusalem. How do you make some things metaphors and others literal, like passages in Revelation that say certain events will happen soon, or quickly? Also, the word translated soon in Revelation (these things will soon happen) is according to Strong’s the Greek word “tachei” and it means: quickness, speed; hastily, immediately. So, it can be a reference to a particular event happening at a quick pace once it starts.

      Hi Mike,
Thanks for the feedback. This video was part of a series exploring the spectrum of different interpretations of Revelation. Hence this video serves as a sample explanation of a preterist / postmillennial perspective.
There are quite a few verses that one might use to either argue for or against a preterist timeline of revelation. Now it is entirely possible that a preterist perspective is in conflict with Matthew 24:30-31. But I did notice that you used the NIV translation of Matthew 24:30-31. The NIV translation actually includes a footnote for verse 30 clarifying that "all the peoples of the earth" is an interpretive rendering of the passage. The footnote clarifies that the Greek can be literally translated to "the tribes of the land". Hence a preterist could potentially argue that "ALL the people of the earth and not just those around Jerusalem" is an incorrect exegesis of the passage.
Again, I hope this serves as a sample of how a preterist could potentially interpret this passage, it does not mean it is necessarily the correct interpretation of Matthew 24:30-31.

    PRETERISM DESTROYED
"ALL these things" are not fulfilled and therefore Jesus has not returned as the cult of preterism falsely teaches. Take a look:
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away (be renovated), but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:34-36
So if all these things are NOT yet fulfilled, and they aren't, how could this be speaking of that generation and not a future generation? Impossible. "This generation" could not have possibly been the generation, the people Jesus was speaking to when He spoke these words. We know that because most of these things were not fulfilled.
Did "the abomination of desolation" prophesied by Daniel happen in 70 A.D.? Nope.
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)" Matthew 24:15
Did Jesus return on the clouds and take up His elect? Nope. Matthew 24:29-31 Were Christ's elect gathered today in 70A.D.? No.
"Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matthew 24:29-31
"ALL these things" Jesus is specifically speaking of in this passage/teaching are not fulfilled and thereby we know the preterists a cancerous cult that are misleading many (1 Timothy 1:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:18). They are the Hymaneus' of our day.
If your "Jesus" has already come, He's "another Jesus" and not "the Almighty" who said "he cometh with clouds; and EVERY EYE shall see him." Has NOT transpired. He said that He's coming "in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory ... with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." This is NOT happened.
The fact that these things were not fulfilled in 70A.D. clearly reveals that preterism is heretical - because "ALL these things" did not come to pass in 70A.D. Future fulfillment.
