scrap was paying good years ago, I remember getting around $240 a ton for steel and over $4.00 a pound for copper, nice score on the tools chest, on the side of the box it said GW: 66KGS so it weighed 145.5 pounds
Dumpster Cord Cutting: was the white appliance in the first dumpster you cut the cord on a Bread Maker? If so, I suggest harvesting the paddle mixer and perhaps the pull out basket. Homeowners loose the little paddles routinely. Every time you capture a cord, take an extra few seconds to consider what else to harvest from the unit. Think like a service guy needing parts, not just a scrapper. Use your phone to take a quick photo of the unit, with any brand/model info or a shot of the label for later reference. Or, just focus the Go Pro for a few seconds on the needed information. The list of what parts to harvest is endless. Attachments for a Dyson, paddle from a Bread Maker, turn table from a Microwave, etc.
you might ask Mike The Scavenger what sort of set up he has for night time lighting he has a great handle on it,Oh man you made out with the 2 tool chests ,Awesome
I wish scrap was still going as good as it was when I started spending on the week it's almost not worth doing it in Ohio😭 glad to see your still finding some good stuff though been watching you for years 🤙
@@DumpsterMarcus I recently messed up my transmission in my bronco so I had to use my gfs small car to take my stash in and found a bucket of copper on the way in so it's rough but sometimes you can still find a good chunk
Mini Bike was a good score. Lots of parts to harvest, since those little bikes are usually sold new with zero parts support or if you can find parts they have to come in from China. Always good to find new areas to try out in the replacement parts business. Just because there may be zero comps up on eBay doesn’t mean the parts wouldn’t sell if you took the time to list them.
Dude found ur channel from the bearded diver.. as a scrapper and a vintage fool restorer those bottle openers are awesome dude. If you get a product call Flitz those handles will shine. And bring out the distress even more.. great stuff man!!?
Vacuum Scrapping: I see u like to clip the cords on roadside units, but have you considered pulling the removable dirt collection canisters from the units? A quick photo of the label plate on the unit that you are leaving curbside would give you everything needed to list them as replacements. I do the same thing to part out steam and carpet cleaner tanks.
Some days pickings are like that. I would have picked more but I micro scrap almost everything I pick up. Something’s aren’t worth it if you don’t micro scrap.
Hey i live in avoca pa by the airport, i used to do this exact same thing years ago, im about to start again and stumbled on your video saying your from Scranton 😂, i love that dickson city harbor freight dumpster as well, that was a crazy find good for you bro!
I wasn't concerned about your using the dumpster cup. I just don't understand digging thru a dumpster with no gloves. Or anyone not using gloves when they are out picking up scrap. I'm in Alabama and there is not nearly as much now in the dumpsters as there was 3 years ago.
some of those noodle makers r good money mr .... hope the carts work out to sell .....ur gonna trash ur back doin shit like that tho bro ....get a lift for the corner of ur truck ..
Bed Frames: I know you like the angle iron for projects, but have you ever considered or tried to sell the wheel sets on eBay? I’ve sold a couple sets over the years myself.
Your old Tuesday harbor freight nights were good videos.. made me go out and I got a dented rolling toolbox
Yea that was fun doing them and that’s awesome dude!!!! Thanks for watching for a long time!!
Whenever you come across shop vacs, take the entire top. The motor usually comes out pretty easy.
Thanks!! That’s a good tip I usually just cut the cord

When pickings are slim, branching out with additional parts might help cover the costs of driving around.
Saw you clip the GFI cord on a pressure washer too. Was the hose or wand in the trash can? If so, they’re worth grabbing too.
Bread makers & Pressure washers have good copper motors
Those bottle openers are nice
Some days pickings are like that. I would have picked more but I micro scrap almost everything I pick up. Something’s aren’t worth it if you don’t micro scrap.
Yea that’s definitely true!!
Love a good church key !
New viewers have no idea how crazy it is to here you getting beef jerky lol
