Awesome video. Ordered my 77" A95L and this video gave me a good idea what I'm to expect from the unboxing. I am going to install a Govee 3 Lite rear LED lite strip to enhance the immersion of the watching experience.
I love that new stand design and build quality of the Sony. Coming from an old-school last gen Pioneer Kuro monitor so build quality matters to me. A95K 65” is discounted here at just 2700€ but I can’t stand that stand but A95L is a huge 4500€ so I am thinking about saving a ton of cash and getting the A95K and using a Sanus stand. However looking forward to your A95L review and maybe a comparison to the A95K.
77" A95L will drop from 6199 € to about 4500 € by Summer next year. That's the way to go, over S95D and G4 imho, which will both still not outperform the A95L, except for Brightness. Samsung mediocre processor and LG inferior MLA, and both will have bad internal speakers, worse OS and no Bravia camera. Save up for the 77" A95L for next year is my best suggestion.
I'm really curious to hear about any PS5-related features. My 65 inch A95L is going to be used very heavily with my PS5 and Switch, so I'm curious to learn about and see those features. I don't get to get my TV until mid October sadly. Didn't want to jump all the way to 77 inches for my space since I only have like 8-9 feet from the couch to the TV. Sat 8 feet from my 77 inch CX in the living room and it felt too big lol Looking forward to seeing all your content on this! Its such a lovely TV. I believe they don’t have a peel on their master series since they gotta calibrate it in the factory, maybe it cuts down on the total production time. Not getting this info from anywhere, just a theory.

Biggest thing I missed initially going from Sony A90J to S95B - build quality and elegance of design. Loving the new picture menu - breaking it down between SDR/HDR and splitting motion up. Ba-bye S95B, lol.
The latest firmware Update has improved Brightness even more, and specular Highlights are now even brighter than on the S95C and G3. I know that's hard to accept for some Samsung and LG boys (Kudos to NextGenTek lol) Now I'am pretty sure we are looking here at the Winner of the 2023 Value Electronics Shootout, especially with D-Nice and Classy in the calibrators driving seat. However this bad boy is 6199 € right now in Europe, which is way out of my reach. Gotta try and make my move next year when it's discounted and I'll compare it right next to the S95D.

Do you know if there’s any way to have hdr always on? Whenever I’m on the google Home Screen when you first turn the tv on it’s super dim, also noticed another issue on prime video when watching movies that are supposed to have hdr the hdr doesn’t turn on
Having HDR on doesn’t equal to brightness. You can adjust specific picture aesthetics per app or source on the tv. Buy yourself an Amazon Fire Stick 4k, that has an option to force DV always on with the U/I.
I have Sony X95K to you think 🤔 Apple TV 4K worth it or Sony Google tv internal apps ? I have the Apple TV 4K 2022 and don’t see any difference in quality only more quick and 120gb
Would love to see comparisons between using the internal streaming apps versus an Apple TV or 4K Blu-Ray Player! One of the big selling points from Sony this year was XR Clear Image which is supposed to detect if a 4K signal is dirty (such as a player upscaling a 480i DVD or 1080p blu--ray) and perform the proper upscaling as if the source were being played back in native resolution
Just got the legend today …. I feel like I’m more impressed than you are even … I had the g3 and s95c to me this blows them out of the water … started with g3 didn’t love the uniformity and it looked exactly like me c2 in game mode , tried qdoled with the s95c and loved qdoled but couldn’t stand Samsung motion , no Dolby , and black outs and here we are and I’m super impressed this is definitely the best tv of the year for me of all time

"NO PEEL SCREEN PROTECTOR LAYER AGAIN?!?! SONY! WE TALKED ABOUT THIS!!" ~ Everyone who complained about it from the A95K. And all the returns to sellers till they got one not scuffed from the semi-poly/Styrofoam cover compressing from the Styrofoam supports. And they still did it. What the heck? Other than that, I too also like the base from the A95K series. I just don't like the 2 legs on TV's, they just don't look right style wise to me ---too thin, questionable shapes for other brands that seem to clash with the actual body; Sony at least for this one seems to consistently match the style of their BRAVIA range. But generally, the single supports look better, but never seem wide or deep enough for the tv balancing for other brands. The A95K had none of the problems of balance and style in my eyes because of the long base one in the slanted default. I'm honestly amazed Sony didn't give people the option to purchase one like the A95K's as an alternative. I would think it would screw in all 4 of the support mounts on the back possibly, with an option of high/low like the legs, with a spacer insert to hide the gap when higher, with a duct for wires to a sound bar in front. And yeah, the back on the BRAVIA series are just that style that just hits right; like the launch PS4 did for me (those angles, non-shiny plastic, vents all around: 😍). The way Sony does the square pattern, the air vents, thick sturdy plastic and that is not shiny. Like some Brutalist, International, semi-Neo-Futurism-1980s style and just hits. (Think inspiration came from Maison Hermès building right next to Sony's Toyko HQ, glass cubes all over.)
@danemoreno88 I’m just not in agreement that the tv has much hype. Tv is a Ferrari with no commercials. The hype train is S95C/S90C. Honestly. If you look at those do you see a difference vs the A80L? If so then it’s for sure a difference in A95L absolutely. You might not be wowed because of demo content but those TVs aren’t on the same planet. But it is to each their own. I wouldn’t buy an A80L, that tv just ain’t for the type of consumer I am.

with all my experience with these tvs, I would say standard mode is probably the best looking one. with all these picture modes, u gotta put work in them otherwise they'll look like shit. cinema mode is alright but its too dang dark. once u adjust standard mode to proper settings and warm it up, it looks like cinema but better. cinema is fine and all but only if u adjust it. I took the hdr crap off my firestick which I use for the c2, looks much better and I used my own settings but its minimal tho
Mine arrives Thursday, super excited as this tv is my first intro to OLED. My only fear is burn in, do you think its worth getting Geek Squads warranty protection? Either 2 or 5 years, not sure what to do on that. Anways appreciate the upload boss!

We've had to use our Google Chrome TV 4k on our X95K because its so much more quick and smoother than the dashboard.

6199? The price in some EU countries is much closer to 7K. The price you mentioned would be kind of acceptable.. the current price is not
