Just wanted to say I stumbled upon this video while searching for a budget for 2024. Very simple and easy to use. Will use this for the rest of 2024 and see how it goes! Thanks. Maybe add separate debt, net worth, etc. columns!
I absolutely love the budget spreadsheet! The drop-down section menu on the expenses tracker is amazing! Thank you so much for making this tracker, and I plan on using the spreadsheet a lot in the future!
Hi! Thanks for making this free! I just want to ask how do I provide the difference to the overall income and expenses to see like how much I saved or extra I have left. I tried using the minus formula for it, but it doesn't show any values. It does not apply. I was thinking maybe because the cells of the value of the overall income and expense has a formula and not just a number. Is there any other way to do this? Would really appreciate your insights! Thanks!
Hi Mary, I apologize for the oversight! I double-checked and realized that I mistakenly set the formula to always assume the month ends on the 31st, which isn’t accurate. To fix it: For months that don’t have 31 days, update the formula in cells I11 to I27 by changing the date from, for example, DATE(2024,11,31) to DATE(2024,11,30). Thanks for catching that, Mary!
The budgeting spreadsheet is so cool and helpful! Thanks for making it, it seems so complicated.
I’m so happy it made a difference for ya 🥳

The Expense tracker doesn't automatically go to the Expense Summary - is this something i ca fix?? I have been having to add up the sections myself ;(
If it doesn’t work, try making a new copy. Sometimes the formulas may get overwritten 😥
Going through the same thing after already filling the template out. 😩 Is there a way I can fix the expense tracker or input the formulas?
im getting the same issue
I figured it out. On the formula you just have to change the date range. It's set to only 1-1-24 to 1-31-24. Just change the month number.
