wonder what's up with Marky. He was a huge part of The Ramones and as you can see on RAW did his best to keep everyone's spirits up on the road and also spoke a lot in interviews etc so this is weird
One of the best vids that captures band comradery. It's like they all chose to gang up on Marky this day so they went into the interview somewhat unified and pleased with themselves lol
It is funny because for years Dee Dee and Johnny always talked so not much in favor of working with Spector back in 79. And here months after the End of the century album was released they are seen talking as if they had a great time working with him. Maybe that's why Marky is not looking happy because he might have been aware that they weren't being honest. Also add up that he was just dying to go to the nearest bar available so he could get himself a drink because this is and later years were just lots of drinking for Marky until he got kicked out of the band in 83.
Marky looks super pissed off and super hungover. He literally has his back to the band and the interviewer and is seen rolling his eyes at least once. Maybe Johnny just told him he wasn't getting any of the t-shirt money (like he told Richie after five years).
Marky clearly does not want to be there, and it seems everyone else is fine with it. Even the camera person, despite a few close-ups on him, tended to just crop him out of the frame.
he wasn’t allowed to talk in interviews which is why he just sat there.. i think anyone would be a little pissed to be forced to just sit there and not be allowed to say or do anything..
Marky was not authorized to speak on behalf of the band. He had recently joined. And the video makes it clear that he was on the last step of the pyramid. Today he talks too much! Good times when you weren't allowed to speak
I am a HUGE fan of the Ramones and seeing this footage made my day. thanks for uploading
Me too 🎸👍
One of the best Ramones interviews I've ever seen - well 3/4 of them on good form at least!
They played the Civic Arena in Burlington 4 days earlier on May 21st - my dad's very first concert at 16 yrs old. This is amazing, thanks for posting!
LOVE this !!
Really well-organized, Monte.

They’re just being nice for the Canadian journalist, they really hated Phil
And, Mark is wasted, and, almost cross eyed

Marky is TOASTED!!!
Always thought she was a great interviewer. Nothing patronizing. The Toronto Punk scene loved the Ramones
Do you know her name?
@@tuskedbeast Jeanne Beker! I'm 39 so it's a bit before my time. but I AM Canadian, so I recognize that face and name. haha
