Great video! I came here with a question and it was answered: how do you install those three shelves? The safe is not fireproof, but that didn’t stop me from putting my birth certificate and vehicle titles in the uppermost “lockable storage cabinet.” Better than a file drawer, I guess. I just found out that because I’m storing shotguns, the barrel length precludes installing even one shelf. Dang. Denied! Looks like that upper chamber is going to have to hold my hand guns; ammo can fit on the floor. I appreciate you being OK with a slightly damaged product. I would’ve done the same thing. It works good enough and the hassle you’d have to go through to return it is something I wouldn’t go through. The added bonus to your video is the information about those lights! Thanks for that. Oh and by the way, the current Harbor Freight price is $379.
@@DoubleMFarmHomestead Just saw that you can place two shotguns in the right front corner. The door interacts with them if placed in the left front corner, however.
I added a large flat paver and (2) 25 pound dumbbells to the floor of the safe and that added about 75 pounds and keeps it from falling forward when you open the door and of course makes it that much harder to walk out with which is the only fear of a safe other than breaking in on the spot of course. I will bolt it down if and when I decide on a permanent spot
@@Alanthe918mobilemechanic any safe in that price range will be easy to get into... I have young curious children, I'm not concerned about burglars... I've seen vids of people breaking into $5k safes within minutes!
I bought this safe from my uncle years ago and have been trying to find the serial number on it. Does yours have a label located anywhere? Also, what kind of batteries does it take?
I'm not really worried about the lock. What I'm wondering about is a crowbar or a huge hammer. Will that smash the sheet metal? 200 lbs sounds ok, but how thick is the metal really?

I've been looking at the HF Union 24 gun safe. For $599 it actually seems pretty good
I've been more than pleased with this one.

I haven't seen a serial number anywhere. Mine takes "D" batteries.

You could put a dent in it with a sledge hammer. It's not as thick as a vault or rolling floor safe. The door is very thick.

It’s to hang and or attach things to it such as fittings to hold weapons

I haven't thought about doing that but I don't see why you couldn't. There is only so much room, but I think it would work.
