TRAVEL VLOG | last day in the south of france - the little streets of cassis & chilling by the sea

On our last day of the trip, we decided to stay in Cassis. As nice as Marseille was and as much as I still want to explore it, Cassis was just such a nice break from the bustle of big city life and we wanted to enjoy it for as long as we could. After checking out of the hostel, we explored the city for a little bit, walked up to the lighthouse, and then split up to explore on our own. Me and Jeanine made our way back out on the ruins along the coast to sit out by the water. We stayed for hours enjoying the calming sounds and smells of the Mediterranean sea and I could honestly just spend days lying out in the sun by the water. I hopped back into town during the last hour to run through the little streets in the city center before we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our little paradise and get on the train. In order to get back to Paris, we had to first take the same train we took to get to Cassis back to Marseille (20-minute ride) then with a quick layover at Marseille, we then took our train back up to Paris with, luckily enough, a gorgeous sunset greeting us on the horizon. This trip was such a nice escape and it took me a bit to readjust to the speed and chaos of the big city, so thank you for those who have stuck through to the end of the trip, it was so much fun actually experiencing it but also being able to look back and relive some of those memories was exciting :)
