"Goals are meant to end" that's powerful in itself!! I agree it's about knowing ourselves and when we're more productive depending on the time of day. I like how yall touched on that. I also like the discussion about it being the "What about the goal" are we seeking. Nice full circle. "Acknowledge the small things. The atomic habits" that lead to the change. Correct. Being self aware is a journey. I'm slowly seeing those pivotal moments. But it's when it comes to buying for myself. It's not yet strong when it comes to my writing career. I am getting there, though.

I’ve been contemplating the idea of self awareness over the past couple days because I am a painfully and sometimes debilitating-ly self aware person, but all my exes have zero self awareness. And I tried so hard to make them see the ways they were behaving and where it stemmed from, hoping they’d see the light and change those things so we could have a healthy relationship. Obviously it doesn’t work that way. I’ve known way too many abusive/toxic people who claim to have done a lot of work on themselves, but when they share the work they’ve done, it’s always self serving. “I was so insecure and now I’m so confident” but never “I treated people like shit and I became a better person”. Stuff I’ve noticed…
