thanks for this. I now can't work out what speaker I need for the front and the rears. Is it better to have 3-way in the front and the back. As they will do the bass as well? Having a Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB head unit, the sub in the boot/trunk will not be working, as you said. Can you advise which I should be looking at to replace the OE speakers and do all the front speakers need the adaptor to fit in the same place? tnx
You should consider duplicating the first couple of minutes and upload it as how to remove the Forester SG door card. Maybe along with the rear door one together?
Is it possible to replace the factory tweeters with aftermarket tweeters WITHOUT switching to a component speaker setup? I've already got aftermarket coax speakers in front and rear doors and thinking of replacing factory tweeters with aftermarket tweeters, but don't want to replace my aftermarket coax speakers with a component setup. Can I just use the factory tweeter wires to power aftermarket tweeters?
Just be careful of your ohm load. Adding a 4 ohm tweeter to an existing 4 ohm coaxial will drop the channel down to 2 ohms. It may cause your radio to overheat or go into protect, or it may be fine. Just be careful.
@@ProvoBeastAudio its a 2004 Forester with factory optional tweeters. No idea if they are powered off the door speakers or not 🤷♂️ I've already replaced all 4 door speakers with aftermarket coax and would like to replace the factory tweeters WITHOUT replacing my current speakers for a component setup, but no idea if it will work right or not. Any idea if the factory tweeters are powered off the front door speakers, or if I can replace them without going component setup?
We don't much anymore, better to mount the crossover inside the vehicle, or choose a component set that has an integrated crossover if the tweeter is located also in the door.
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
funny, exactly 1 year ago you posted this video, yesterday I bought my 06 FXT and today I am learning to install my speakers.
Just used this info to drop some speakers in my forester, much obliged for posting

So you cut the stock wiring harness that would usually go into the speakers, and attached speaker wire, so you can add them to the crossover?
Seems like it ywah
Thank you for your editing 👏
i got the nsp65, would i need the crossover to make them work in my 04 forester?
any dimensions at all? depth of oem and 3rd party speakers?
What size screws do you use to attach the mount to the speaker? The pack in the description doesn’t come with screws
unless i missed it how did you fix the crossover??
Great video thank you, very helpful!

Possible stupid question but since I don’t have a place for the tweeter in the door I don’t need it right?
Can I use the VSP65 if I can’t mount the tweeter anywhere? or Would I still need to get the VSP65KIT to get the crossover?
Anyone know what brand are the OEM speakers?
Hi there how did you actually attach your crossover to the door? Just some tape or glue or something?
We don't much anymore, better to mount the crossover inside the vehicle, or choose a component set that has an integrated crossover if the tweeter is located also in the door.
And we used screws.
If my car has no tweeters, is it possible to install new ones?
Sure can.
Simply gorgeous.
Thank you! Cheers!
Are back doors the same?
Link in description for back door video.
Where’d you get the amp
We did not install an amp in this specific video.
Thanks for the video! What is coupon code for NVX speakers? Thanks guys

Sent you a message on Facebook messenger, thanks for this video, still have a question about the tweeter crossover setup though
