1. Enginge oil - check for rust/dirt , above min point
2. Air fliter - every 10K km check for the condition of the air filter
3. Brake fluid - check condition , top up if necessary , dot 4 oil
4. Coolant level - top if necesary
5. Battery Condition. - check normal and cranking voltage . When car is running , voltage should > 14v
6. Brake Check - check the brake disc /pad condition " check for dents, damages, clean the brake pads /brake discs
7. Suspension condition - ball joint, end rod , codition , if there is unnecessary play ? check boot cover conditions .
8. AC filter remove and check.
9. Wiper condition
10. Electrical check

After my car service i checked the bill, they have done a car wash without my knowledge and have quoted rs. 800/- (with labour charges). Outside, I would have done car washing at half the price, along with wheel alignment and balancing.
From then i insists them to not do car washing after service completion.
In private water service, they are charging Rs 300 only. You are rightly pointed out. Best wishes

1) Air filter shouldn't be cleaned with pressure air, it will deform the paper
2) Funnels not used for Top up , spillage brings in dust accumulation
3) Emery paper shudnt be used in Disc and pads, it is made smooth , only roughness helps in good braking.

1. Change of tyres, alloy wheels.. smaller to bigger dimensions. In this would it affect the car mileage, turning radius etc
2. Modifying the exhaust sound..race car effect..would it affect the engine performance..if no to what extent we can change the sounds

My opinion : In showroom service centres, more checks & services will be done. And, I feel tvs are charging more amount for less service & checks.

நான் 2009 Hyundai i10 Magna வண்டியை 2020இல் வாங்கினேன்.
வண்டி ஓட்டுவதற்கோ பார்க்கவோ அவ்வளவு பழைய வண்டியா தெரியாது.
ஆனால் வண்டியோட AC மட்டும் வாங்கியதிலிருந்தே திருப்தியாக இல்லை. சொல்லப்போனால் ரொம்ப மோசம்.
வண்டி வாங்கி முதல்முறை மட்டும் Hyundai நிறுவனத்திலும் அதன் பிறகு வெளியேயும் வண்டி பராமரிப்பு செய்து வருகிறேன்.
ஒவ்வொரு முறை பராமரிக்க விடும்போதும் ACஐ சரி செய்து தர சொல்வேன். ஆனால் எந்த முன்னேற்றமும் இல்லை.
எனக்கு சென்னை, புதுச்சேரி பகுதிகளில் AC பராமரிப்பு செய்ய நல்ல பராமரிப்பு மையத்தை சொல்லுங்க.
கூடவே இவ்வளவு பழைய வண்டியில் ACயை சரிசெய்வது என்பது சாத்தியம் தானா என்பதையும் சொல்லுங்க அண்ணா.

Air Filter is made of paper and should not be cleaned and fitted back. Every 10zk air filter to be replaced

As you said all ok sir but don't top up break oil like dot 3 or 4 oil because. While you driving definitely break pad is wearing. That time break piston comes outside so automatically oil level is going low after changing break pad automatically it's comes in normal level. If you top up oil when you change break pad oil gose outside automatically

Dear Sir,
In my recent experience with Hyundai showroom, Sholinganallur was horrible for my i10 model.
They where charged 9,000 for wheel balancing, wheel alignment, interior Antimicrobial Treatment an Rodent repellent and new engine oil.
Car engine and tyre space mud was not cleaned properly.
It all comes in dry wash only.
No water and foam used to clean because of non metro station.
Such a bad experience with them.

Ji, I love to use mytvs service, however I would like to know how far it is advisable to choose mytvs over showroom services, in terms of expertise of engineers, incase of any issues occurred during service is performed how can we fix it and how reliable they are. I have Ford Aspire, is it really advisable to choose mytvs, despite I am still getting company service.... I would request you to provide a detailed explanation...

I will share my experience.
They mostly cheat on spares cos we don't have knowledge on technical side.
1.At 30k kms, my dealer said steering rack have problem & asked me to change.which is around 30k INR.
Note:
But I never felt any issues while driving.but they said steering rack have issues.
2.again at 60k kms , dealer again said steering rack issues, again asked to change it.
But this time too, i didn't get issue while driving..so told them I'm not interested to change.
Now my car odometer was 1,75,000kms..still now I haven't changed the steering rack.
Note: if my steering rack was faulty, how come this ran upto 175000kms.?
3.ABS alarm.
I got abs alarm then & there sometimes, dealers as usual asked to change.
Dealers feedback, it shows defective & error signal on their system.
If there is dirt also, the system shows defective signal.
I just cleaned the abs sensor & ran it for next 30k kms.
Cleaning of abs sensor is needed, they won't do this . simply they change.
4.booster fuel pump male socket slightly burnt in the corner so sometimes while starting engine crawls..
Dealer said, company won't provide or change socket alone, change booster pump.
Price of booster pump is 17k INR.
Now again, company said, booster pump also never comes alone want to change fuel gauge wire too which another 5k INR.
So,17+5= 22k.
Cost of male socket may be around 500rs..
For 500rs, i spent 22k INR..
5. There is an axle for suspension with bush..small bush on the axle got teared.
Company said, its moulded type can't change bush alone, so change the entire axle which is 5k INR.
cost of bush may be 100 to 200rs.
6.at my 4th service dealer said, there is a small bend in the wheel rim, have to change to entire rim.
I cross checked the same, while wheel balancing & they said there is no bend
Price of the ?
6.there is minor leak on engine top where injectors are placed.
Leak is cos of o-rings on it.
Company said, they dotn provide o-rings alone, have to change the entire engine wall mount cover.
Which is 30k INR.
O-ring cost may be 15 to 200rs?
7.coolant tank is dirty,levels are not visible, company said to change the coolant tank which is 7k to 9k.
But they won't clean the tank ,if levels are not visible..they just change the entire tank..
We ourselves can clean this white coolant tank.
This is how they technically they cheat us on spares..just for awareness.
Other than this minor issues also faced, shared the major part alone.
This is with Volkswagen/skoda..

Obviously the service cost is too high in authorised service centre especially with labour charge and spare parts rate.. hope with multiple players coming customers can be benefitted 👍
After did 5 th service at Hyundai service centre I had wobbling issues and check engine indication and ac compressor noise .Today 13th sep 2022 I have visited my tvs at Trivandrum show room and they have given INR 999/-onam offer which includes 40 mechanical point and electrical wire inspection , scanning , vacuuming etc .
I shall update if they fixed my issues or not by tomorrow.
