Спасибо за подробвнй анализ дискографии,я считаю что все его альбомы хороши
I've been meaning to listen to stuff like Aurora and Technique forever now, I guess I finally have an excuse! This was a great video, didn't anticipate getting so emotional near the end, thanks Jake
You’re very, very welcome, and I hope you enjoy
Aurora is amazing. Philosopher's Propeller changed my life. I have a tattoo for it.
😊😂😂😂😂😅🎉
New Hirasawa review??? I'm still healing from heartbreak that Morgan never got to go through his discography T_T
Jake: I won’t let it get lost in the deluge of new music I promise! I wouldn’t hold out for Morgan though, he’s barely got it in him to listen to what we review (dude’s got a lot going on so be easy on him ❤️)
I'm just freshly get into Susumu Hirasawa works, but already love his musics so much through Byakkoya no Musume, especially when i look at his early P-Model where he is really young, and all of that is thanks to RUclips recommendations, so i really hope you did the same kind of video like this for his other project, cuz i'm really curious to hear your opinion on it, considering of how fascinating Susumu Hirasawa vocal in his early 20's is, it just so vastly different than what he became now & and it's amusing to me that he was that wild & unintentionally funny back then 😂
@@Dark-Wolf-066 I’ve actually been thinking about doing a video like that as of late! I’ve been listening to his Kaku P Model albums and I absolutely adore them and they need some exposure!
@@JamsandTea Have you listen to P-Model first album? when Hirasawa's vocal and music style is more of a punk style?
great vid , great info
Great video ! My personal favorite probably is Blue Limbo, but I can't really explain why ahah
A fantastic pick! His music is so specific in the feeling it elicits sometimes you just can’t explain!
I loved your words at the end of the vid. It’s always really weird trying to fit Guts into a ranking of Hirasawa songs, it feels like such an obvious or generic answer. Even so, I can’t stop loving it. It’s just one of the most intensely beautiful songs ever made
Thank you so much, and I couldn’t agree more, it was something that I just knew deserved its own specific segment, both because ranking the Berserk soundtrack (though I do love it) amidst his albums feels unfair, but also because it contains so much of his spirit as an artist that it simply can’t go ignored
A little disappointed that Niwashi King wasn’t mentioned at all, but with how large his discography, I can understand why it was missed. That being said, how you mentioned each song in Technique of Relief evokes a specific feeling, like how The Man from Narcissus Space makes you feel like you are wandering through space, or the chills that Ghost Bridge evokes, Gardener King makes you feel like you can take on the whole world with a nation United behind you. I love the lyrics in it that allude to servant leadership, science, and civilization.
Oh trust me I wanted to go deeper, that song is absolutely worthy of a mention, it’s beautiful. And absolutely agree, that one is imbued with a grandiosity that I don’t think anyone but Hirasawa could conjure
Niwashi King is probably in my top 3 as well! It's also one of the very few of Hirasawa's songs that's in 3/4 time signature in spite of its repeated counting to four in the main verses.
Hahaha
siren probably my number 1 aswell pretty much just for online malaysia lol, great vid man
Thank you! And I’m kinda shocked I didn’t even mention that song, absolutely one of my favorites
Genuinely could not offer a ranking personally tbh lol. While personally I adore the original trilogy of Hirasawa albums they are surely not the best of his work so that rating is pretty fair.
Although jdksjdksjdksjdkjs being the terminal horsebone i am i'd like to offer brief correction that at 11:27 he had been active as a solo musician for a little over thirty years :-)
Unfortunately I can't sit down and watch this all in one sitting but o7 I'm coming back to this as soon as i can.
I appreciate the dedication! And completely understandable, it was a tough task ranking them all, and I gotta reiterate that I more or less love *all* of them, at least partially. And my bad! I tried to have all my ducks in a row for this one so I guess it was inevitable that I get something wrong 🙃
Think you'll ever do something like this with P-Model, Susumu's remix albums, or Kaku P-Model?
I’ve thought about it! It’s a big commitment but what I think is more likely is that I’ll talk about some of the more notable records in our Record Club series with my friends on here, just to get some variety in perspective
現象の花の秘密 (Gensyou no Hana no Himitsu) is clearly influenced by Lil' Beethoven by Sparks
Music that seems so distinct from anything else is far and few.
I don’t even think anyone can replicate his style in the future
Forces were I started
Imo there can be no ranking, its hard, the ones I like most fluctuate. The ones anyone can like most always fluctuate. Personally its his Kaku P-Model one, Kai = Kai from 2018, and his solo album Techniques of Relief from 1998.
GO STREAM HIS STUFF YOU LOSERS!!! ❤ (ily)
One of the worst things of his obscurity is that I can barely find anything of him on Spotify, he has like 3 albums on there >.
