tourist family lost their 4 year old and injured mother from korea. they went home without their child!! horrific! so unjust !!!
It’s just sad that our legal system didn’t acknowledge the life of this 4 year old girl. Why is she still allowed to drive? She clearly can’t drive safely. In other countries even excessive speeding can be a loss of a license. A license is not a right to life in this country, especially in highly transit accessible cities like SF.

The justice system in San Francisco has failed this family.
Oh wow, 1 person honking their horn allows you to drive through pedestrians.
The City clearly admitted that they did not design the intersection to maximize safety since their response to the incident was to go back to the drawing board.
The Korean family needs to sue the City to get their point across.
Ps. I live in SF and it's an intersection that I avoid as much as possible due to it being a MAJOR transit hub with tons of pedestrians all over the place.
Just becuase people honk behind u doesn’t mean u should listen to them. If u feel it’s not safe don’t let them bully u into making too many sudden moves bc they won’t pay for ur accident if u get in one. If they are in a hurry they can are more than welcome to break the traffic laws but u don’t have to

An entire young family of four wiped out of existence and no one is held accountable, I guess it's true nobody said life was fair.

And by sending the message that you don’t really HAVE TO take responsibility when you fail to see what’s going on in front of your car as you drive, regardless of distractions, and kill another human being, you can guarantee these deaths will just continue in s regular basis. A lot of drivers do not care about pedestrians you see it every day and I don’t have anything to do with the make up of the street. It’s the driver who don’t give a damn. I see it all the time.

I mean FFS, atleast never let her drive again. I get she's a 71 year old without a history and this was a genuine accident. But I mean, she should never be allowed to drive again, and should be forced to pay heavy compensation for the 4 year old she killed.
But a 71 year old using a firearm to defend their property in the same city would be thrown in prison for the rest of their life. Smdh

Bike lanes are a complete waste. Emergency lanes should be used instead of bike lanes and as far as the pedestrian walkways, they should be underground and with plenty of light all the time far away from traffic. this is a tragic crash that never should’ve happened, but it can definitely be prevented with the right measures put in place.

I think it's fair. Here, they are talking about how king st needs to be altered and she was panicked by honking drivers behind her. She should have her license revoked and community service etc. I didnt here all the facts so im just assuming her level of negligence was gross or beligerent ie drunk, speeding, running red. Etc.

It is an accident, not killing intentionally or anything. But again, if only the city allow more homeless people to stay in that crossing lane, things like this would have been completely avoided... since there no tourist coming in the area, hence they are safe. They need more homeless people in the city. Personal note: I do benefit tremendously from SF homeless projects contracts, easiest money I have earned since flipping burger in high school. Homelessness is great for the economy or at least mine :)
