Ariel, as a bookseller I can reassure you that this interaction with the bookseller was probably the best part of his day. Bookstores are retail as well and sometimes you get super annoying people and when someone starts telling you random facts about their life and it's actually funny, it's such a nice change of pace!! Honestly, a lot of people start telling booksellers random stuff so you're not alone ;) I personally would have loved this interaction haha
I loved A Psalm For The Wild-Built. All of Becky Chambers' books are wonderful. I highly recommend her 4-book Wayfarer series starting with The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet.
I love the story about over-sharing re: Weasels In the Attic!! It’s so embarrassing to get into a situation like that where you just keep digging in deeper. I’m envious of your trip to England!
Psalm for the Wild-Built is one of my top favorite books! I'm making a tradition to read it at least once a year. It's absolutely lovely and the follow-up is just as great!
McGlue is the only one I haven't read yet. I might hold off now 😂. I totally agree with everything! I think a memoir or other non-fiction of hers would be interesting.
Ariel, the bookstore assistant probably called you "The Weasel Lady" to other staff members, friends and family. 😀

The weasel story in the bookshop made me laugh!

Please write a memoir and title it "Weasels in the Cellar"
