I grew up in Jersey; I used to work for an Italian named mike; mike used to act just like this. when I saw Eddie Murphy's Raw in 87 it was a hilarious straight classic.

I remember RAW 1st went to theaters, it was the talk of the town . EVERYBODY went to see it, if you hadn't, you heard ppl talking about it. Though this was his last stand up set, Eddie was like the 1st comedic rock star. The fact that RAW still stands the test of time says everything . Though he had so much love and respect for his idol Richard Pryor, its like Eddie took the torch from him and said, "Its ok Richard I'll take it from here". 👍🏽

I think Eddie Murphy has a touch more physical comedy to go with set.

Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase bit " Word Association" on Saturday Night Live. Very funny sketch. Also Eddie Murphy as Stevie Wonder and Joe Piscopo sketch on Saturday Night Live doing Ebony & Ivory ( which was with Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney).Eddie does an excellent Stevie Wonder.💯👍👍😅😂🤣😂

If you want to see some politically incorrect humour that not even Dave Chappelle would get into, Delirious and Raw (the stand up movie that this clip came from) are the ones. When I watch Murphy's jokes on the LGBTQ community, it becomes crystal clear to me that Dave Chappelle is not homophobic. If you want to hear homophobic jokes that would never fly today (and probably for good reason, though I hate censorship), those are the 2 specials to see in their entirety. Raw actually opens with a bit on how he said some derogatory things about gay people in Delirious and now they're coming looking for him. It's still pretty funny, but for me, it still goes way, way further than Dave Chappelle ever has. With Chappelle, they're obvious jokes and he's doing it out of love. With Eddie, for better or for worse, he's terrified of LGBTQ people. It's more unintentionally funny than anything, but it's a time capsule to see what attitudes were like in the 80s. I'm more of a 90s guy. We took risks, but we weren't completely ignorant of reality, even if our choice of words was primitive at best.
