Love the part about making your floor high enough. Need to be skilled enough such that even when we dip we are still decent, because the dips are inevitable.
This video is so inspiring. As someone who’s been an immigrant in the U.S. and struggled financially, I can relate deeply. I’ve loved poker since I was 17, and it’s been a passion of mine ever since. I’m currently a live 1/3 player with a win rate of 78%, but I’ve never had the bankroll to truly pursue my potential. If you’re open to giving someone a chance, I’m ready to work as hard as possible to achieve success.
You didnt cover the players who are banked and play for a team. Those have the beneficial of not worry about having a bankroll. Would you say it woul be much "easier and faster" to the to the next level, whether bing a grinder or a pro in that circumstances?
before i hit midstakes i didnt realise how much lower the rake is at higher stakes. it changes the table dynamics a lot. No reg battling at 50nl for example.
I would argue if you have less than 100k US (in HCOL areas) your still going to be treading water or taking on too much risk. I think sub 100k as like the red zone for pro poker players.. you dont want to end up there.
The white board comes out and I click the like button
Never seen a poker video talk about this aspect of the game before, very useful stuff

Certainly stuck in the “grinding because I have to” phase. It causes severe anxiety and depression

Anyone you would refer me too since I only started playing 10nl? I know you’re way more advanced.
