Dad , David Manning Hanschell was an employee of Caroni Ltd from 1955-1970 and for a time was agricultural superintendent based at Brechin Castle until he died in early 1970 while on holiday in Barbados.
That was Brechin Castle Sigar factory. I was Chief Engineer mechanical there until 1996 after leaving for Barbados. That was a good performing factory on my departure.
56yrs ago when i was 7 i would climb to that little look out on top of the factory,my father was an employee there i lived in the village closest to d factory it was my backyard, those were the days wen men were bold and paper was not invented,u figure out d rest something to do with razor grass lol
