    I like how responsible you are for what you do. That's a lost attitude these days, but I think that's what quality takes.

    My most recent piercing was likely my last, very sadly. I’ve developed MS and it no longer seems to matter how calm I am or how good my pain tolerance is, I just spasm with pain. It’s gotten to the point that they can’t even take my blood in the test clinic anymore, I need to be in a hospital where a friendly porter can pin me down. During my vertical labret, after the needle was through, my whole body just started bouncing. The piercist handled it like a pro and tried to reassure me that he’s had worse, but I know it’s not ideal. As someone who has had 25 or more piercings over the years, it’s a massive bummer. But it kind of feels like the reality is just that there’s a high likelihood I’m going to be full-body spasming with a needle hanging out of whatever body part, and even if I’m willing to accept that risk, it doesn’t mean anyone else has to.

    • @BodyPiercingTattooing
      @BodyPiercingTattooing  4 месяца назад

      MS can create some tricky reactions. The key is always to be clear with your piercer beforehand so they can prepare for your reactions. In most cases the needle will be through before the reaction but it isn't the best situation to have a needle through and you bouncing around. I would be worried about the needle giving you a few extra pokes or it falling out.
      I'm sorry to hear that you may have to give up piercings. MS takes so much from those that contract it, even piercing it seems.

    I got my vertical industrial pierced almost a year ago. It was a living hell pain wise. I think my piercer, who told me that he had lots of experience with these piercings, but he had a difficult time piercing me. It is a rook to conch piercing. He inserted two separate pieces of jewelry, curved barbells. I went at 12 weeks to see if I could change it to a bar, but It was so irritated, and I had such a hard time cleaning it. Then, the bottom piercing fell out, and I had to go to a different piercer to have it tapered back open. I think it is almost healed, and intend on going back to the piercer to, hopefully have the bar placed in. The other piercer did not tell me to do saltwater soaks, and when it fell out upon calling to see if I could come to get in re inserted I was told that within two hours it would be closed up, but it had been almost three days, and the piercer was able to reinsert the jewelry. The healing has been a damn, horrific nightmare. When can you tell if a piercer is completely healed?

      @BodyPiercingTattooing  5 месяцев назад +1

      It shoukd have been done with one bar. Chance are regardless of dead on they were the alignment, chances are one of the piercing will migrate. So when you put one bar in it won't align or there were be a whole new series of issues.
      It is a hard piercing to do and unless they are bending the bar to fit your anatomy or the rook is in prefit shaped, tge angle doesn't match. Rooks are pierced slightly downward which is not a straight line to the Conch and the ridge that the Daith is through can't be in the way.
      I haven't seen your anatomy but rook to Conch is rare and not the best choice for an industrial. The issue's angle doesn't match in the same way a helix to helix or Conch to Conch does.
      You will know the piercing is healed when the discharge completely stops, the piercing holes grow inward and the jewelry moves freely through the piercing.

    I got the top of one ear pierced last month (long established APP shop/piercers, etc) and it took her three pokes to get it placed correctly with the correct angle. 🙈 She hadn't done exactly what I asked for yet. Thankfully it wasn't a very painful spot and it's now healing OK for the most part (turning over in my sleep, hair getting caught, etc making it sore). With some deep breaths and a fan blowing on me I survived, haha. Though I did already have a long enough post from the other side a year prior, she still used a longer one (which I had to buy 😒) that I didn't need because my ears don't (tend to) swell much.

      @BodyPiercingTattooing  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for sharing your experience. It's aoways best to start with the longer post and then downsize. We never know how much swelling will happen. It shouldn't have taken 3 times to get it close to what was needed.

    And because I’ve tried every metal to pierce with straight barbells, the piercer just narrowed it down to. There’s nothing you can do you’ve tried every street posted metal that you possibly can and basically she said your body just sees studs as a threat to your direct health, and something about studs in your body just don’t mix they don’t go together then she could tell it wasn’t lack of aftercare. It wasn’t poor care of the piercings or anything like that when it came to my conch piercing she just simply said it’s just your body. Something about studs in your body just doesn’t go together cause I even asked her like why doesn’t you know my belly button do this or my snug you know it’s like what is the difference with them and she basically was like well. Your body doesn’t seem as threats, so your body leave them alone, but when you go when you pierce your helix or your lobes, or your contour, anywhere with a straight post with any metal that you could ever pierce with your body just sees it is threat to health threat to well-being and body and system, and an almost like your body, thinks that studs are gonna make you sick or ill. And something about studs in my body just don’t go together at all. I feel perfectly fine if I have hoops in my ears, and I feel perfectly fine with her barbells No issues or nothing my ear just heals like it’s supposed to but the moment you put studs in my ear and you try to go stud to hoop my ear doesn’t like that and even after it’s healed I can’t even wear like I tried to. I tried to even wear studs in my first holes in my ears. Oh God, after even I make sure that it’s a metal I’m not allergic to and stuff like that and even after it’s healed if I leave the studying too long, my ear starts having an issue and a problem with it but the moment I go, and I put that gold Hoop back through it goes back to normal or that surgical steel hoop. It goes back to normal but the moment you try studs anywhere it’s like no even after the piercing is healed healed and it’s several years old I can’t even wear studs in my first hole, I just wear dangles in hoops that’s it that’s all I wear. And curve barbells

    When I first got piercings, I did not know I swell a LOT! Now that I realize this, I tell the piercer ahead of time, go up two sizes on the post. I had to change out jewelry on my own in order to save several piercings!! 😵 0/10 do NOT recommend. Fortunately, my projects are complete, so no new piercings are in my immediate future.

      It's impossible to say without seeing the piercings first hand. You might be able to save both of them or find a piercer skilled enough to bend a barbell to fit comfortably through both piercings.

    You do have to understand that there is those on people like myself where the reason why they won’t budge on piercing with a ring for like a helix or anything like that like a college and stuff like that because some people are like me where we’ve tried every metal out, known that you compare Swiss to try to pierce with studs to try to heal piercings yet or body has decided no way I’m not doing it and it’s not that it’s not that they choose to like for me I wish I could heal with a start I do, but I can’t I now know for certain I cannot. I’ve tried every metal you could possibly name to try. I’ve tried everything even down to. Titanium every single one you could ever name I’ve tried it with a straight barbell. Nothing major just goes nope bye I’m gonna migrate that shit right out of there by doesn’t care, Meijer. Don’t care I don’t care at all and I’ve gotten to the point where I had recently cut my last one a.k.a. my top conch out of my ear with pliers. That’s word now that’s why I don’t care for studs. In fact, it’s not safe for me to do anymore because even my piercer I talk to they said because I’ve tried all the metals you can possibly try to do healing out with stars in each time I’ve done it it’s just my ear is eating the bars my ears grow over the bar like my skin literally will just grow right over it Mom and eat. The bar is an all sorts of stuff and it’s just every time when it first started I thought it was cause I was allergic to just like Nicole are you know cause I am I know I’m allergic to nickel I get a red rash and all that I get like bumps and everything on my ears so I know I’m allergic to nickel 100% but I thought that was all but I’ve tried over the years. I tried and tried and tried to pierce with studs and I went down to my conch piercings had basically the last metal you can try to pier Swiss and my ear just wanted to eat the bar it just decided I’m gonna eat it. I don’t care we don’t know why it doesn’t understand why it does it. It’s not at this point it’s not being allergic to the metal anymore because I can wear circle seal. I can wear gold in my ears and the hoops and I’m fine anything hoops I’m fine curve barbells I’m fine but as soon as you put straight anything my ear just like nope bye-bye goodbye sayonara goodbye I’m not healing. I will eat this bar and I will do whatever I don’t care how you clean me are you? I don’t care if your aftercare is to attend and you take care of me twice a day and it don’t matter my ear just goes. I don’t care I’m just gonna eat the bar and yay that’s all it does and I’ve been getting my ears pierced since I was four and I’ve tried every metal you possibly can to peer Swift to put a straight anything in and it’s just like nope nothing straight absolutely not no straightens like my ears worst nightmare for some reason I don’t know why and really weird because I’m here for the hoop. Everything‘s fine my ears to my ears normal my ear heals like it’s supposed to and then you try to go in Pierce with something straight, which is the natural way to Pierce with something straightening it just goes nope migrate that fucker right out by at first when it started when I was younger I used to just think it was a metal allergy thing but as we now went through every possible metal, you compare Swift and it just doesn’t matter regardless because the studs are just a Knogo like what can you do is even my piercer she’s like there’s nothing left to try. She literally cut my conch piercings out and she said I’m not even going to try to put studs in the air anymore because there’s nothing your ear is just going to eat every bar we try to put in there that straight. Curved barbell totally fine. Hoops, totally fine. My ears normal and natural heels. Normal perfectly fine no issues no problems. In fact I’ve had less problems with my snug than my helix. Am I to college combined seriously I’ve had more problems with the two that I pierced with straight bars than I did with my snug no joke this point my snug before changing my helix back when I did to a hoop, and changing my conch piercings recently to a hoop, my snug was my healthiest sadly, which is messed up to say, but my snug was my healthiest, literally cause every time it’s just my body did not like the fact that there were studs there at all my body just didn’t like it no and I’ve tried so many metals because I ate first when I was younger when I was four and I got my first lobes with a stud we thought it’s just a metal no big deal we’ve had metal allergy I was bound to get that because my mom has a metal allergy, So I knew I was gonna get that, so the first time it happened we figured why is the metal allergy no big deal I got my second holes total different metal no no and then I tried the next ones from my next piercings and look at it over and over again and it just no nope nope nope nope just nope my ear just said nope and then my conscience were the last metal to possibly try for piercing and it got so bad it literally fused one of the piercings shut. my dad had to cut it with pliers so yeah. I’m just the autumn client swear I just can’t have it at all. Even my piercer said I see my conch piercings. Very very lucky that I did but she basically said it’s a Knogo like there’s no street barbell we could ever put in your ear and try you’ve tried every night of the week you possibly compare Swiss and your body just doesn’t want anything straight and she said at this point because you had to get them this last one cut out with pliers she said it’s the weirdest thing but she said basically, the safest thing to do for you is to pierce you with hoops from this time going forward because of how close I was to possibly losing my college piercings she said there’s it’s just not safe to Pierce with studs anymore for me because I’ve tried every metal I could possibly do that there’s no point to put it in your body you’re just going to your body is always going to react this way every time we try to put something straight in that piercing it’s just never gonna work and due to the fact that I had to cut this last piercing out of my ear with pliers she said it’s just too much of a risk to peer. She was a stud anymore cause it’s just. Too risky basically she said we could pierce your helix next and the next time we may not be able to save that next piercing we pierced with a stud at all sadly so I’m just stuck piercing with curved barbells and hoops, because I can’t do studs anymore. I just I can’t there’s nothing I can do. I’ve tried all the metals I can it’s literally coming down to the fact that my body just will not tolerate a straight item in the piercing hole for some reason we don’t know why my mother was the same way she tried every metal just like me, and it didn’t matter that era would just react to it, and start to treat like a foreign object and just push it out and want to grow over it instantly push it out migrate the piercing to the surface every time it’s just there’s nothing we can do. We don’t know what it is or why there’s nothing we can do. I know that my ear doesn’t do it with her barbells and doesn’t do it with hoops, but it just does it every time I put anything no matter the metal in my ears. That street it’s a rare occurrence it’s really weird, but yeah that’s my skin don’t ask I don’t know. you can name in the list any metal and sadly I’ve tried it all in my ear just doesn’t care doesn’t care for it doesn’t care for straight and doesn’t want to doesn’t wanna hear you doesn’t wanna do nothing with straight barbells and it doesn’t matter if it’s I could do perfect after care perfect perfect, perfect, perfect aftercare, and I did perfect aftercare with my third lobes perfect aftercare with basically all my piercings because of my sensitive ears and I did perfect perfect to a T after care twice a day after care, and my ear just will not except a stud And he’ll like normal at all

      I understand that you feel rings work best for you but I would refuse to do it with a ring because a majority of people have issues with them. There is a number of reasons that you had issues with a post and the most common would be poor quality jewelry.

      @@BodyPiercingTattooing that’s not the one I’m trying to say it’s not about working better for me. It’s the only option I have I can’t do studs at all. Literally my body migrates out studs my skin grows over studs my body wants to literally take that bar and basically turn it and tarnish it so it’ll take a well. Good piece of metal and just tarnish it really bad like my skin. That’s what it does. It’s not about what you’re saying, my ears can’t do studs at all I can’t I can’t have them. I cannot not anything any and every metal my ear literally stripped that metal down and tarnishes the shit right out of it. That’s what my ear does when I have studs in my ear. I can’t have them at all my even the piercer I go to now who saved my conch piercing. She said you came in the nick of time because your ear couldn’t like just migrated out completely. Luckily, I saved it in time, my ear migrates the studs out of my ear, grows over the backings, my ear tarnishes the jewellery literally and my skin grows over the backing literally in my beer so I had to dig it out of my ear. Literally I literally that’s what my body does tarnishes the metal. It turns it all gross, even if it is the highest of highest of highest quality of metal you can put in a piercing my ear phones away to tarnish the shit out of it. Literally eat it literally eats bars my body eats bars, dude literally it literally takes that straight bar no matter how long you make it it goes I am gonna eat this bar. And I don’t care I don’t care what the quality of metal is. My body says I don’t care I’m gonna eat it I’m gonna eat this bar and I’m gonna turn off the crap right out of it and I don’t care if it’s even nano metal or whatever that other metal is, doesn’t matter my ear. My ear will tarnish the silhouette bar and eat it literally and my skin grows right over that right over it. Literally literally I’m not joking I’m not joking. My skin actually grows right over it literally like embeds in my ear. Literally literally it’s like so not safe to personal studs to the point. she had to dig out of my ear dude she had to take it out dude I can’t have that in my ear. I cannot like literally my body do not allow it at all it will not allow it. It’ll even appear so she said I will not pair. She was a stud because of what she had to do. She had to literally dig it out of my ear. My ear created an entire crater and end, and was swallowing the piercing the front and the back, and she had to take it out of my ear and my dad had to cut the top one, but I can’t out of my ear with pliers. Do you get that what it is so not safe for me to put studs in my ears that it is a little health risk to my house I can’t put studs in your ear. You can’t have them in there like you can’t at all doesn’t matter what metal it is you can’t have it in your body I cannot put studs in your ear. I can’t because your body it’s literally like it’s the board and no matter how much high quality of metal to make that metal she basically was like your ear tarnishes this shit right out of the metal turns turns black black, black literally black that’s what my earbuds with studs my ear, my ear basically. What’s when I wear studs that’s what my ear does with that I can’t have them. I can’t have them at all and it doesn’t matter what the metal is doesn’t matter it can even be metal metal or whatever other metal it won’t matter you can’t put that in there because if you do my ear will literally eat the littoral bar turn is the shit out of it turn it black in my ear would be my skin would grow right over and I would have a crater and I would have a little huge ass infection, mixed with a tarnished bar to the point Mom literally the little bar is tarnished shit to the point. It’s got black shit coming out of my ear piercing. Yeah that’s my ear. I’m literally serious I’m not even joking you I’m literally dead serious. That’s my body doesn’t matter what model it is I’ve tried every metal you could possibly try or recommend. I know I’ve done it. I’ve no I’ve had it in my skin and every time my body turns that metal no matter how high the quality is to black literal black tarnishes the crap right out of it and just eat that bar eat that poor I mean oh it doesn’t swell just like no embeds in my literal ear. My skin grows right over it. Literally, there’s no point in person with a stud because instantly within a month my body is already wanting to migrate that piercing right out of my body used to the foetus and get them out of here. That’s what my boy does every time doesn’t matter what the metal is, don’t care my body don’t want it I don’t except studs. Literally within a month I would have an infection instantly because my body would see that stud be like I am going to try to migrate this right out of here and it’s really easy for my body to do because I don’t like Dad at all and I’m gonna give you a big ass massive infection caused by nothing but the bar It’s not a joke, dude like you can’t pierce me a stud I can’t have them. I literally can’t.

      @@BodyPiercingTattooing Like literally my piercer who saved my conch piercing she was like I can’t. You were studs. I literally can’t like they’re like you’re she sought on my skin and how bad it was and how it reacts to studs and she’s like Ike I can’t it is so unsafe for me to Pearsall studs that is true of much of a health risk to do that she’s like I can’t. She’s like I’m gonna take the studs out. Hopefully your conch piercing is correct and luckily thank God they did but it was so bad. She took the first one out herself and put a whooping on my dad had to take out the other one and he had to take it up with pliers and she was like it is so bad normally I wouldn’t I wouldn’t pierced a client with hoops going forward but she was like there is no metal. I can recommend you without your ear doing this. This is so bad that either there’s nothing she was like there’s no metal you could try there’s no nothing I can recommend to you your body and your skin has decided I don’t care I’m not going to accept studs and she’s like anything else I ever try. Your body will just instantly migrate this right out. The piercer even said it’s so like not safe for you to the point that you were lucky you even have your conch piercing she’s like I’m surprised you haven’t lost your bar and it didn’t rip right through your ear. It was so bad she said there’s so much risk of just everything going wrong and migration in and basically rejection because of the studs and your skin getting infected from bars and causing so much damage like your body literally gets damaged from the studs to the point it’s so not safe. To the point the safest thing I can do is Pierce with hoops and that’s it. I can’t have them I literally can’t. I even asked if there would be a different metal I could do or anything and she said no she said no she said no it’s too too. Normally I would call piercing with hoops a risk for you, but it’s too risky for studs. There’s no metal I can recommend you there’s nothing I can pierce you with where there’s no risk of migration, rejection or anything when it comes to a stud your Body just eats bars and then will eat them and then they will continue to do so and they will eat straight barbells. They will eat the flat back ones worse but they will eat even the ones that are straight barbells and they have the balls on both ends curve barbells my body is fine with curves in hoops, but I can’t have no studs. It’s so insane that she said the next time my piercing what if I ever pierce you with it start again which she said she will never do it the next time or could send me to the hospital no fucking joke, so it is so unsafe to pierce new studs. I can’t have that at all. It’s too risky.

So hoops is your best bet and safest thing when it comes to me when you’re piercing me, you have to pierce with her because it’s the only way the only way my ear will hear heal properly when I mean properly I mean when you tell someone OK your piercing you’re supposed to take this amount of acts of time to heal and may take up to a year to maybe a year and a half two years. Meir will only do that properly if I have a whooping it when I have a son it won’t. It won’t do shit it won’t heal at all. There will be no sign of healing at all. Just infection issue problem, skin growing over it my body wanting to migrate the piercing right Out my body will turn that bar instantly tarnish the shit out of it turn it black yeah that’s pretty much all it’s gonna do it’s not gonna go anywhere and healing at all. The only thing that do work at hoops in Kerrville my snug heels great why cause I have a curved barbell in. It has no issues has no problems very much. Why? Because it has a crowbar bulimic so it heals normal like it supposed to and when I tell you, my ear will not heal. Conch piercing’s only take 6 to 9 months up to a year for a conch to heal. Mine was a year old and not healed. At all point-blank didn’t matter what my aftercare was at all it was just wasn’t there he wasn’t gonna do it, and I know my body when it says no it means no and I don’t want it doesn’t matter don’t matter with metal you put it is it when it says no it says no and it means no and that’s my body sadly and it’s decided nope no studs I don’t care. I don’t care what metal is is I’m not putting it. Don’t even do it again. Don’t try it my ear when I tell you turns black literally like my literal ear piercing holes turn literally black inside. I’m not kidding you internist it stud hello mean because it’s purely not clean. Oh no, my piercer knows mine was clean. She knows that because she could tell they were well taken care of cause she looked at it literally she’s like I could tell this piercing. Literally, she looked at her and she was like clearly it’s not for aftercare because she said normally, when I see someone come to me with conch piercings like this poor aftercare or something, but she could clearly tell because of the way my skin was and everything she can clearly tell it was just simply nothing to do with aftercare. There’s nothing to do with poor aftercare she basically was like it’s just your body choosing to not accept studs at all in here and there’s nothing we can do about it except for go forward and take the studs out, put the hoops in and hopefully they will heal. and hopefully they won’t continue to migrate and when she saw my conch piercing, she gave me 50-50 because it was so bad OK it was so bad and it wasn’t for aftercare either. She even stated no I clearly you took care of your piercings. This is not poor after care. This is just your ear not accepting studs. There’s nothing we can do about that, except for go forward, put hoops in it hopefully it heals up and as for the rest your piercings, we just pierced them with hoops and Kurbos that’s it and that’s all she said basically, she was like there’s nothing else to Piercy with that is a straight barbell she basically was like. You’ve had every metal and basically talk to me and my mom and we told her every single metal you know we’ve tried this we’ve tried this we’ve tried this to Pierce with studs and every time our ears just don’t care and will not accept studs and will not heal. They will just buy grade cause issues infections all sorts of stuff but I mean I tried every metal I really mean I tried every metal and I’ve been getting pierced since I was four years old and I’ve had every single one in my skin and dumb yeah I just I really can’t have studs I really can’t. I literally can’t tell me the last studs that were in my ear were the last metal I had to try and unfortunately my ears. Didn’t care for it and like it wasn’t going to agree to it so this is why sometimes it doesn’t matter what you want sometimes it’s not about you sometimes sometimes you have to go against what is protocol because it is so just unsafe for the client so it’s best bet to assess the client

      @@BodyPiercingTattooing Yeah, well I’m the opposite. I’m sorry but I don’t. I have issues with studs to the point you can pinpoint every issue you could sit me down in your piercing studio and tell me OK you can have this issue this issue this issue with hoops Pierceville, the store and boom every single thing every single list of possible problem bing bang boom there you go. Instant I have instantly all of those issues horrible, horrible and my that’s what my body does every time and the only time my piercings are normally do you only time my piercings are normal and humeral and heal, healthily, and heal OK and do well, and in the way they’re supposed to is when I put hoops in my ears every time hoops and her barbells that’s it that’s the only time my ears ever ever do well you could give me point blank in a list every single issue problematic thing you could have with a hoop and that’s my ear besides keloids cause that’s the only thing I don’t get it and then some stuff is even worse there’s even worse things I get with studs, which I’ve already explain to Maddy, my other comments and it’s no joke The studs are my issue and the hoops keep things calm and normal and the way they should be in the piercing heals like it’s supposed to and should be and doesn’t have issues. If you’re worried about it getting stuck well there you go the stud instantly does that it gets stuck instantly any that you could name off every single issue and a point-blank reason ABC, DEFGJK elemental PQRSTUVWXYNZ on why you wouldn’t pierce me with a stupid person starting on be like yeah that’s every single issue to a T except for keloids cause I don’t get those. That’s pretty much every single issue, but was studs so my ears are backwards. They don’t heal the way they’re supposed to at all they will not heal with studs, and they never will my years of chosen but they will heal with them what they want and what I’m saying is they will not heal with studs I don’t matter.

    Like you could list all the problems that you would get piercing with a hoop in my ear is backwards. My ears are backwards, so instead of all those issues happening with hoops, it flips itself and happens with studs and not hoops yeah weird, but yeah, my ears do that every like possible issue problem whatever you could list off that’s hoops can cause for most people is not my ears when it comes to hopes you flip it and you put studs in its place. Dang they go now you have all those issues going off every single last one Except for keloids, that’s the only thing I don’t get why yeah, it’s the most weirdest thing two others I say if you can please please please Pierce with studs black for me. Unfortunately I can’t die. I’ve tried it with every metal I’ve tried and tried and tried, and my ears are a Knogo for that I don’t we don’t know why if I did, I would love to know why, but I it’s not like of Africa the piercers that have looked at my ears in the past and saw this happened to me and my most recent peers are they all said it was a lack of aftercare perfect it was perfect. I had perfect aftercare. My ears were they can tell they were well looked after him know, no skipping, aftercare or anything like that even the lady who did my conch piercings, recent a few months ago and changed them to hoops. Now they’re calm now they’re happy but when she looked at them. She looked at my other piercings as well and he Supertalent wasn’t lack of aftercare, and it wasn’t that they were not healthy or had any like problems like that because my other ear looked fine. Oh my helix was fine. My snug was healthy everything, so she was like it was not lack of aftercare. It was perfect after care perfectly taken care it’s just when she looked at me to conch piercings they just me the skin was trying to grow over it, and then my body was trying to push them out and migrate them out and they looked unhealthy even though my others didn’t, and they in my conch piercings have the same aftercare as my other two, my helix and my snug and if my hair looks on my snugger fine, and they have they look healthy and fine and like Toucan’s don’t you she was like it’s not like I have carrots, not core aftercare either so she was like it’s literally simply the studs. There’s nothing else I can think of. I know she looked at the post and the length of the posts and she said they were perfect length and they weren’t like like shorter like too short or anything like that. It was just simply my ears are weird and they just don’t like Dad so I don’t know why neither does my peers or we don’t know my mom has the same problem too but we don’t know what it is or why it does it.
