People assume Atlantis went underwater when it said Under the waves and afterwards blocked by an impassable barrier of mud and reeds which means tsunamis and debris...not sinking deep undersea

What's wild to me is that it so closely matches descriptions of Atlantis, yet no one seems to be interesting in doing serious research in that vein. Like wtf is wrong with this world.

That is because the Richat Structure IS Atlantis. There is no two ways about it.
And yet no evidence of human made building materials existing as buried ruins has been found. You are believing without looking at all of the evidence that does currently exist. It would be really cool if evidence of Atlantis was found and confirmed but liking the idea does not make it true. Unfortunately Jimmy has cherry picked the evidence that supports his claims and does not address the counter evidence. He also suggests that an observation that looks like supporting Atlantis claims and then proceeds to use those claims as if they were a conclusion in his further analysis. He does this all of the time and in every video and that is frustrating when you understand the scientific method. What Jimmy does is called bias.

If you consider the amount of water to create the washed out appearance of the sand in the region, then you would understand that the buildings got washed away. If you want to find the remains, look off the coast of Mauritania and be prepared to dig.
@@smittyk7810the ruins of buildings aren’t there because a massive 100 meter wave swept through the area and washed the entire city into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa and no one’s ever looked for it there. I’m convinced if we had a team of divers and subs looking for it, we’d find it.

I think if there was a civilization there, the best place to look for remnants would be off the Western coast of Africa where you can easily see the washout location. I bet there's buried city remnants under all the mud sand and everything else at the bottom
there very well could be, they've found sunken greek, roman, egyptian cities all over the Mediterranean coast. However, those cities are a lot younger than Atlantis would be if it existed, so if it's buried under there, it would be wayyyyy deeper than other ancient sunken cities. Also, if a major flood event happened, the power of the water would be enough to turn steel into dust, plus the amount of mud it would've left settled on top of everything would be even deeper than natural terrain changes.
I know someone did talk about this.. but there is 1 problem... water that did wash out whole north side of Africa.. deposits are literal miles deep and long.. all along side of Africa are very strong curents that prob scattered that rubble all over Atlatic ocean.. sooo by the looks of it.. Mauritania was hit last and if we are lucky some stuff could be on top... but all evidence prob is all the way on the bottom

Yes this geological survey needs to be done. Suggesting Atlantis must be there is not the same as proving it has to be there. Some people are believing without proof and that is called faith. Even if the area did have a catastrophic flood it offers no proof that Atlantis existed there. I doubt that Atlantis remains will be found buried there but I will not know for sure until the scientific study is done. Until then Jimmy's ideas will be nothing more than just ideas, especially when so much evidence disproves his and Graham Hancock's ideas like DNA comparisons between peoples that had gene pool isolation and not connections and the fact that not one structure of a civilisation has been found to support their existence before the Younger Dryas. Even Grahams Netflix show offered nothing existing before the Younger Dryas. The study could be done without digging and at a low cost using sound waves. The study needs to be done.
Depending on how catastrophic the flood was there may not be anything left to discover though. Enough water can crush and disintegrate pretty much anything.
If it was in Europe or the U.S it’ll be full of tourists making millions of dollars but since it’s in África, it’s just a theory.😢

Probably when there's something new and exciting to talk about. And he of course has a life to attend to, but I also get a sense that he prefers not to speculate too heavily on things so that might contribute to it too. But ultimately, at least we're not out anything by having to wait. You never know though, maybe he'll randomly find a geographic place tied to the Garden of Eden myth, or get a strong theory for what happened to Earheart's plane.
But to summarize: my theory is he's not quite sure exactly how to proceed with the channel because discovering Atlantis is a pretty high bar, and of course he can't just do that weekly for uploads. I have suggestions though. Ayo, Jimmy, HMU! 😂

The more impressive thing is the giant swirl across northern africa from the NE across the S to the SW which is clearly evidence of a great mass of water scouring the landscape.

Yep, and there's a guy that studies that sort of thing who was all ready to debunk the flood theory, but then kept looking and realized that's exactly what happened and showed the evidence for it.

@@GUNNER67akaKelt well, the ribs pattern to which randall carlson was referring to may be conclusive, although carlson himself doesnt believe this is atlantis for multiple reasons. but the pattern the guy above is referring to is a regular wind erosion pattern which u can find on every desert, australian, arabian etc
