@@bigbangrafa8435 Because Jimmy is a fraud who literally lies on camera. When you spend your life studying the subject, then hear a muppet like him, one might be irritated. Here's a few examples: - on this podcast he said the idea of pyramid being tombs was made up by the XIX century European explorers...in realty, Herodotus told us they are tombs since the 5th century B.C., the Egyptians themselves told us they are tombs and the pyramid of Menkaure has a an inscription carved on its granite casing, literally saying Menkaure was buried inside. - he said there are no texts inside any pyramid - not true, look at the pyramid texts, found inside the 5th and 6th dynasty pyramids - he said no bodies were ever found in any pyramid - which again, is false - in one of his video he said Egyptologists claim the Great Pyramid is older then the Step Pyramid. Once again, it's the other way around... The guy is clueless. He doesn't care about science, history nor logic, he cares about the views and money.
That's def not the site of Atlantis. No ancient artifacts have ever been found there. It's just an ancient collapsed volcanic dome. Those patterns heading out towards the Atlantic ocean are created by the wind. Meteorologists track the blowing sand from there all the way across the Atlantic.

What blows me away is the fact that "modern" humans have been around for around 300,000 years, and yet we barely know anything (if anything) beyond 12,000 years about our modern human ancestors. Keeping in mind the constant changing of the Earth, it's very possible that many human civilizations have come and gone. There is a lot of room within 300,000 years and something that kind of saddens me is that the Earth is like a very slow eraser and we may never really know much more beyond what the Earth hasn't yet erased. An insane amount of human history is unknown.
300,000 years of human history is probably not much more than what we usually do, surviving, making home, getting food, eating, sleeping, shitting, fucking, raising young, fighting, getting sick... There's definitely a few impressive periods of human history but the vast majority of it is just a bunch of apes living and dying.
The ability to maintain history / record keeping is a relatively new thing from a historical standpoint. There was a lot of history burned and buried as well. We're finally on the right track tho...
A lot of human history was purposefully destroyed when the Library of Alexandria was burned. And I'm more than certain that the Vatican vault is also hiding a lot of historical information for the purpose of maintaining the church's mind control and power.

I was worried that Joe Rogan was only having really popular well-known people on his podcast. Jimmy has a great RUclips Channel and I'm so pumped his message is being shared like this.
Within the last year, I watched a documentary about how the pyramids were made. They have uncovered and translated an ancient papyrus that said that the Nile river was much closer to pyramids and they were able to divert the waters to the pyramids to help transport stone. So the block of stone used were approx 1 ton bricks. Egyptologists were able to determine that it was easily feasible to transport stone the way it was described in this special ancient papyrus. It was a journal entry from a pyramid foreman who was overseeing the construction of the temple. It was super fascinating to watch. Anyway, my point is, their was a body of water that most likely extended from Mauritania to Egypt. The point was that their was a massive body of water next to the pyramids that obviously is not longer there today.
I’m glad the speaker is so excited about the search for meaning in his observations yet Joe can be skeptical and challenge the theory. I truly enjoy these conversations.
Hi, I used to live in Mauritania. I never went to the Richat structure, as it's in an area that we were not allowed to go to for security reasons, but I met people who had been there, and when I visited places in the desert in the north of the country (not too far from the Structure) with a guide, he told us that they find sea shells all around the Richat structure, which is another clue that that part of the Sahara was probably at one time under the sea. Also, I've been told that the northern area of the structure are cliffs and that you can see where ancient river / waterfalls probably came over those high grounds, which would have been a great source of fresh water. In the account from Solan he apparently speaks of higher ground to the north of Atlantis, as well as other details that coincide with the formation we see at the Richat structure. I was told that as the structure is spread out over such a large area that when you're there on the ground it doesn't look like much, and there's nothing really to see. It can only be seen well when flying over it in a plane, or from satellite images as shown in this video.
There are lots of elephant skeletons and pottery there as well. Pottery indicates people and elephant bones align with the tale that Atlantis had lots and lots of elephants.

Anyone interested in this subject should read Platos' Timaeus. When I first encountered this story in college it absolutely blew my mind. The account is oddly too specific to be dismissed. If the account of Plato is to be taken seriously, Atlantis was a global super power due to its navy and strategic location, and it was intent on enslaving the entire world. According to Plato, the Ancient Egyptians claimed that much of the world either fled or surrendered to Atlantis' navy with the exception being Athens. and that ancient Athens alone stopped Atlantis in a battle of truly epic proportions, but shortly afterwards a seismic event not only destroyed Atlantis but completely altered the worlds terrain and that for a long time the ancient site of Atlantis could not be navigated to as it was left a muddy mess. Atlantis was almost certainly a real place, it's just a matter of where (somewhere near the Atlantic ocean west of the pillars of Hercules) is where many believe it to be. Diodorus Siculus also talks about Atlantis as well as Herodutus.
The people like Graham Hancock have a laughable grasp on Plato's work, and the symbolic nature of his work. He is not a historian by any stretch (he set one of Socrates' dialogue after the date of his death). Historians Like Dr David Miano at World of Antiquity have thoroughly debunked all of those pseudo-history channels.

The ancient civilisation of Minoa, located on the island of Crete famously was destroyed in a volcanic eruption and subsequent tsunami in around 1500 BC, halving the island in size. This civilisation was known to be incredibly wealthy and a hub for trade. 1000 years go by until, in 320 BC, when Plato first makes reference to a great civilisation that sunk beneath the sea known as Atlantis. He claims that his ancestor had been told by Egyptian priest 300 years prior of this great civilisation. The thing is though, in around 1000 BC, the Greek dark ages occurred, which is an event that ended with the destruction of many ancient texts of the Mediterranean societies. So there is a very high likely hood that the story of Minoa got twisted and contorted over the centuries so that when it eventually did get told to Plato’s ancestor, the story was completely different. Plato himself also may have added some things to the story. That is what I think happened.

This DOES NOT MEAN that there was widespread use of advanced technology, nor do I believe that civilization has ever been so uniformly advanced as it currently is. It just means that humans are smart, and that many "discoveries" are perhaps more adeptly premised as "rediscoveries" or "recontextualizations." It means that humans can accomplish amazing feats of bureacracy and expansion in any age, and that humans will always be drawn to the idea of the infinite, ever-expanding, and ever-travailing. Think about how the ancient Polynesians got to Hawaii - humans are capable of incredible feats of endurance and discovery, and we are extremely intelligent.

Here's a few examples:
- on this podcast he said the idea of pyramid being tombs was made up by the XIX century European explorers...in realty, Herodotus told us they are tombs since the 5th century B.C., the Egyptians themselves told us they are tombs and the pyramid of Menkaure has a an inscription carved on its granite casing, literally saying Menkaure was buried inside.
- he said there are no texts inside any pyramid - not true, look at the pyramid texts, found inside the 5th and 6th dynasty pyramids
- he said no bodies were ever found in any pyramid - which again, is false
- in one of his video he said Egyptologists claim the Great Pyramid is older then the Step Pyramid. Once again, it's the other way around...
The guy is clueless. He doesn't care about science, history nor logic, he cares about the views and money.

The pyramid was built by Thoth an atlantean priest who settled in the land of khem after the sinking of Atlantis.. he built the pyramid of Giza by using the Earth's gravity.

What blows me away is the fact that "modern" humans have been around for around 300,000 years, and yet we barely know anything (if anything) beyond 12,000 years
about our modern human ancestors. Keeping in mind the constant changing of the Earth, it's very possible that many human civilizations have come and gone. There is a lot of
room within 300,000 years and something that kind of saddens me is that the Earth is like a very slow eraser and we may never really know much more beyond what the Earth hasn't yet erased.
Nah dude we were bums for 288.000 years and then we decided to build piramides...
Try eons. Not a few thousand lol…

It would explain why so much of the land is barren. The ground has been salted leaving it a desert

Atlantis is kinda solving for x
Too bad Timaeus was obviously a work of fiction.
Wow, if that's true - then their fate was well deserved.
I go with the theory that the Azores is all that's left of Atlantis.
I believe Atlantis was in present day Antartica, now a frozen prison continent that’s larger than North America. Totally sealed off to civilian travel.
Also, Atlantis was ruled by you know who…

I think its most possible that:
1) Ancient civilizations were much more widespread than we know based on evidence
2) Within the confines of an ancient mode of production (or, more broadly, what we call the Bronze Age, Iron Age, etc.) civilization was much more complex and advanced than archaeology can definitively proved
3) The level of techbological advancement in some places was much greater than we typically give civilizations credit for based on prevailing archaeologicl trends.
Think of why the DNA of South Americans matches with DNA of Australians.
