One thing with Frozen Wilds which relates to the closing comments, is that before launch GG said that skill points from ghost levels would not carry over into the expansion, but then when Frozen Wilds launched, they did carry over, and so those of us with a number of skill points racked up were able to instantly fill out that expansion's traveller tree. So, it will be interesting to see how things go this time around.
Yes great point! I’ve been thinking about ghost levels as well. Particularly in regard to a new max level (non-ghost). With Frozen Wilds we got 10 more levels to max out at 60 and it increased Aloy’s max health. It will be interesting to see how they handle that this time.
@@ArktixOfficial Yeah I'd assume the level cap (50) before ghost levels kick in will go up to 60 again, although it really wouldn't need to. We don't need another 100HP. But if they do, they should probably also add a special new NG+ only difficulty where everything is rebalanced to be max-level-appropriate, & quest-machines don't have reduced HP. An apex Slaughterspine might only have its health raised to 300% & damage to 250% (compared to UH's 294% & 200%), but a burrower could have it's health raised to 900% & damage to 360%.
Yeah I’m interested to see how they handle balancing new weapons, skills, increased health, etc, with the original machines. I’m a bit worried that they’ll feel too easy after the DLC.
Agreed, that's why i started to 100 percent the game over the last 3 months. I havent played in 3 weeks because I've had to much to do. But I'll be able to pick it up once Burning Shores comes out.
I originally bought HFW in April 2022, but didn't get around to playing it. After seeing the DLC trailer, I finally started playing two weeks ago. Shard Farming without the Arena glitch: the speedrunner Elkjaer has made a couple of videos showcasing shard farms that I would definitely recommend utilizing if you don’t want to use the Arena duplication glitch. They are both fairly simple and can make you thousands upon thousands of shards. Personally, here's everything I hope to get from BURNING SHORES: 1. MORE FOCUS ON FOOD Introduce new meals that give an entire Skill Tree worth of bonuses! Let's be honest, we all use the "Nora Thunder Warrior" cause it has the best perks. Well, this way you can make use of them even whilst using other armor. It also lends itself to HORIZON's element for preparing before fights. 2. BUFF FIRE & PLASMA These two are easily the weakest elements and should be given major buffs! For Plasma, just increase the maximum damage it can deal or add some sort of extra effect. As for fire, maybe allow the status to last longer by continuing to hit it with the element. 3. BUFF TRAPS The trapper playstyle has been massively nerfed in FORBIDDEN WEST. In ZERO DAWN, you could just pass through traps without taking damage. BRING THAT MECHANIC BACK! Maybe through an armor skill? Also, make it so traps do not immediately explode after just one hit by an enemy! 4. BUFF POTIONS While health potions have been buffed in FORBIDDEN WEST, the new Cleansing and Stamina potions still feel undercooked! For Cleansing, just double the time that it gives elemental resistance. As for Stamina, maybe have it also restore some Valor, since grinding to fill that meter back up is a pain! In fact, allow us to turn off Valor after we're done using it!
God I would absolutely love to see the ability to use the shield wing as a shield and/or have a parry mechanic. Parry mechanic pretty much always is a great mechanic to have in any game with combat, it is so satisfying-especially with a two-tiered reward from parry vs. perfect parry. Parry would make sense with Aloy being nimble and not only would it be fantastic in DLC areas but it would be a huge boon to combat throughout the game as a whole. The improvement in melee combat from Zero Dawn to Forbidden West was fantastic, and making a more nuanced melee system with parrying would bring it to exactly where it needs to be.
Great stuff as always. By the way, Ragnarok just dropped a NG+ patch a few minutes ago. It has quite a bit of content, so I am certain your fans will appreciate you making an insightful video detailing how they can best maximize resource grinding/crafting etc. before tackling GMGOW mode on NG+
Will this DLC also bring updates like making a Clawstrider mount faster than walking speed or letting excess ammo go into my stash? Everything goes into the stash but not ammo? Really like the game but some design choices leave me baffled.
About to start my ultra hard NG+ 2 in preparation for Burning Shores, and you videos have been invaluable. Really appreciate the content and breakdowns. Oh and the coil spreadsheet was a lifesaver 👍

Thank you for your videos, i am currently finishing HZD and your videos really helped. Since i have sitting HFW sitting on my shelf a couple of weeks now, i also started to watch your videos on HFW. They really have me looking forword to play this game, but i am also a bit intimidated by them, i got the feeling that you can't casually play this game, that you need to optimize your gameplay, max out every weapon and use every trick like slide dodging, concentration jumps and so on to be succesfull. I hope that it turns out to be as fun and rewarding as HZD, more machines, more weapons, more skills, hopefully thats not to much. I really hope that its playable without optimizing every bit. Nevertheless looking forward to it and will definitely rewatch a couple of your videos for help. Keep up with your great content!

You certainly don’t need to, though optimizing will help of course. That being said, HFW is harder than HZD, so you will want to make use of weapon techniques for sure and upgrade your gear. Thanks to your master class on shredder gauntlets I was able to kill most machines with the ancestors return fully maxed out and even was able to do singularity mission only using that weapon

i'm about another 8 or 9 months away from saving enough to buy a ps5 and burning shores is the first thing i'm going to get 8 or 9 months is a long time but it will be worth the wait in the end also on the subject of new weapons i hope they bring a legendary bow out with strike through arrows on it i can ditch regalla's bow then but if not i can live with it

You know - I started thinking about if they build out the machine master skill tree to include another valor surge... I think it would be cool and would make sense if it would be something like a 'control blast' where aloy charges up her spear and sense out an AOE control effect that instantly overrides any machine within the radius, whether stealthed or not. Thoughts?
Hi Arktix, have you seen the short gameplay trailers or gotten hands on yourself? Aloy seems to have a new attack where she can ropecast to a knocked-down machine and unleash a QTE spear strike, which made me think about your knockdown builds. Vindicated or what? Love the channel, your videos have maximised my enjoyment and experience of the game.

I don't know how much you've played Zero Dawn. But one thing that I really want to see is Guerrilla bringing all the new upgrades to all the rest of the game even outside the area of the Burning Shores. And the reason why I meantioned Zero Dawn is because when we got the Frozen Wilds, it was blatantly clear the Aloy's arms were way jacked up in comparison to what it was when we played the main game, specially when using the Nora Silent Master suit. So I think that IF we really end up getting an under water combat option I hope that can be utilized in all the other areas of the game as well.
In my predictions video, I figured Hephaestus had set up a permanent sever farm/fortress for himself, so ti avoid Gia from pulling him out of the Cusldron network and merging with him again. Probubly on some DISTANT island with a set up like Thebes: an impenetrable bunker with a massive Geothermal generator and a huge army on standby to defend it. But with a DIVING mount now, is it possible Hephaestus isn't on a mountain top or hiding in a Volcanoe, is it at THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN!?
A tip that i discovered while playing, especially helpful for ultra-hard players. THE NOTEBOOK!! omg, the notebook is WAY to underrated. all my freinds that play never use it. while you can still win a battle by not, its very helpful if you are planning to fight larger and tougher machines. such as apex slaughterspines and apex thunderjaws. instead of using your focus during battle, making yourself vulnreble to attack, use the notebook before hand and see weaknesses, weakpoints, usable weapons, ect. ect. a lot of people go to a battle unprepared, thinking "oh this'll be easy!" but then they find themselves out of the right ammunation. going to fight a slitherfang? oh no! you dont have frost or purgewater. easy, try to get other weapons then just one loadout, having one loadout only is a pretty bad idea since your going to find yourself in a situation where your arrows and weapons dont deal much damage to the machine your fighting. but having a decent amount of weapons will come in handy when you need a different ammo type. The Notebook, and having more weapons then just your main loadout, is great. cause the notebook tells you what weapons your going to need. need a certain recorce, but it explodes when machine is destroyed? easy, just equip a sharpshot bow with good tear, and your set. dont have a weapon with fire on you? easy, replace your DSS with TSS and your set. i hope this helps anyone tryna get into the combat of the game!
The only legendary weapon I was missing was Carja's Bane, but I've just finished the last race the other day. @Arktix spreadsheet for the items to farm before entering a ng+ to be able to upgrade every new legendary on the spot is a must IMHO. Thanks!
I'm genuinely so exited for the new DLC..... Bu then again I'm sad because it won't be coming to ps4 pro. Bu Hay I'll definitely be watching this channel for the play through 😊
Yea the devs want to showcase what the ps5 can do and they've already stated there is a specific fight in the DLC that the processing power of the ps4 simply wont and can not handle.
With all the mention of playing on Ultra Hard difficulty, if anyone is wondering, the only thing you get out doing so (other than self-fulfilling sense of accomplishment) is a trophy. If you're a completionist, it'll already be on your list. Otherwise, all you get is more struggle, lol.
Speaking from personal experience, UH NG+ felt way too easy, while only towards the Embassy is UH fresh NG a bit of a hassle. But it's actually very doable and quickly became fun. I have a 'Easy UH' playlist just to show anyone that the game literally gives/offers you anything you need bit by bit from the start. Well, other than patience, curiosity to explore and learn to (ab)use the game's mechanics... and some sense. :p I couldn't buy those lol.
I am super excited, I am guaranteed a dlc after June when exams are over, also for frozen wilds I liked it, so I actually have high expectations on this
I've been leveling up since my first playthrough in NG+. Since I finished the main story, I've been biding my time for any DLC expansion in the future, hence Burning Shores. All I can do now is wait. Speaking of DLC, not to get ahead of myself, I am curious if Guerilla will develop few more DLC areas taking place during and after the Main story. Up north, I saw some kind of fortress in the mountains north of No Man's Land and it might have something to do with the Oseram. After clearing out the first Rebel camp, it later became an Oseram settlement now newly named "Hollowrock". We'll all have to keep Elisium in mind though. I was hoping for the Base itself to be expanded with few levels and rooms aside from the repair bey. There has to be more accessible areas we can explore I mean Regional operatives might have other work spaces, perhaps a kitchen, another social space and more living quarters below 'cause that elevator is there for a reason. I hope guerilla will add some more content. As for allies, We all know we'll no doubt encounter with Brin and Gildon again in the Burning Shores but I hope we could gain more new allies to join Aloy's team at The Base. For example; Aratak and Inatut from the Frozen Wilds expansion joined the final battle for the "Looming Shadow" mission. Perhaps we could also see other allies from the Frozen Wilds like the werak trio Urkai, Tatai and Tulemak.
Did a story difficulty new game plus just so i could have fun taking my time in burning shores, and just for practice made another save and doing a ultra hard at the moment just to keep my "skills" up to date, noticed some new form of rope cast to get to enemies and do a critical melee attack, will be interesting to see what new skills they add, and if we can somehow use all our champion tokens on maybe resources at some vendor, or skill point buffs with all the extra levels we reach hit ghost level 107 i believe now so would be nice to be able to spend those.

0:21 those are not exclusive to just the pre-order, you can get those pre-order items at the first settlement aloy comes to in the DLC, its already been confirmed, the pre-orderbonus just allows you to get the dye and bow early
Hmm I'm not sure about that. I interpreted the PlayStation blog post as you would only be able to buy them in the first settlement if you had pre-ordered.
I hope the game gets a increase in ammo capacity or at the very least reduce the crafting cost during battle. Why? I like when things go Boom! With my Spear.

The more I look at the image the more I'm inclined to believe that's a new enemy. Aloy is in a fighting stance and so is the other person. If they were an ally then Aloy would be looking back at the Horus instead of standing up on the mount. Also I know a Horus is huge but it dwarfing the Hollywood sign just makes that even more clear. Aerial combat has to be in the dlc because there's no possible way to fight one of those from the ground. The one we go under in the main story to find hades made aloy look like an ant by comparison. This one looks to be even bigger
Would be a bit annoying, since there's not even enough Greenshine to get all upgrades and unique vendor purchases. Not a big deal if you grinded that all before NG+ but still
There's enough Greenshine to at least be able to upgrade any weapons and outfits in the base game. For what it's worth, I tested it myself a few playthroughs :). Just be careful with buying Key resources from Vendors until you fully upgrade (or just check the amounts you need) all 'Greenshine gear' and you'll be fine. So if you need Greenshine in the BS (lol) dlc, then I suspect there's probably more than enough to get you covered.
@@leoparaskevopoulos2752 greenshine is theoretically crystallised blaze. The Burning shores, being a place with lava, should hopefully bring some extra greenshine or new greenshine fragments.
well i need to save up for a ps5... the cost of living crisis etc put a dent in that project for past year.. guerilla were a bit cheeky releasing game on ps4/ps5 knowing ppl anticipated DLC as in original game. and then announce the DLC and at same time announce its for PS5 only. ofc its Sony company making both ..

I'm really excited for the new weapons. I hope we get a OP Sherdder and Spear And new OP Legendary weapon Coils. Hear me out it is a solo player game. When Frozen Wilds came out and gotten the exclusive coils like the Pristine Weapon Coil. I New Game plus so many times just to mid max my equipment. I did the same thing in Forbidden West just for the Purple 15% Concentration Damage weapon coil before I found out about the duplication exploit. Now I have 10,000 of them including the purple 25% Critical damage coil. Lol

I might be wrong but, dont we see Aloy using "minefield" in the "New Threats Gameplay Trailer" against the Shellsnapper? And in the Cinematic Trailer she throws a bomb underwater. Idk if they were teasing us the whole time or just set aside some gameplay mechanics just before game release to bring it back for the dlc.

Since the game keeps track of how many times you fought the different types of machines and adjust the probability of encountering the Apex variants accordingly, by the end of my 2nd New Game+ on Ultra Hard, I was rarely seeing non-Apex machines. I'm wondering if that carries over to Burning Shores and if so, should my first playthrough be with my base game save without all the Legendary gear maxed out instead.
I really enjoy playing Horizon. But it's a shame PS4 players can't access the DLC. I'm a PS4 player and would love to play the DLC but can't. (because PS4 player)
@@ArktixOfficial middle east All middle eastern accounts don’t have the DLC in their stores as far as I know (mine is UAE) And before you ask yes we have things like the “Mark of Pride” face paint available in our games I’m not sure if buying the DLC from an American account will guarantee me access to the DLC pre-order bonuses but even more worrisome to the DLC itself I hope I managed to get our voice out there even if its a little bit
This video is missing something. The absolute most important thing you need to do before Burning Shores drops: Get a PS5. The DLC doesn't work on the PS4 version.

Good question. I imagine if you’re playing on a NG+ that will continue to be the case when the DLC starts, but I’m not sure you’ll be able to get champions tokens in the Burning Shores itself. Maybe you’ll only be able to get them from original content.
I should have done the NG+ ultra hard playthrough earlier because now i want to do it but the dlc is so close idk if i want to play the whole game while the dlc is out 😢

I hope so. I’m ghost level 220 I think and have 1200 skill points. Would be side of those came to nothing. 😅
Coming back to a dlc when you haven't played it in awhile is hard. Reestablishing the muscle memory is always a challenge

One of the weirdest things is in Horizon 1 I used the rope caster a TON. I didn't even feel the need to pick it up in Horizon 2.

Shard Farming without the Arena glitch: the speedrunner Elkjaer has made a couple of videos showcasing shard farms that I would definitely recommend utilizing if you don’t want to use the Arena duplication glitch. They are both fairly simple and can make you thousands upon thousands of shards.

Personally, here's everything I hope to get from BURNING SHORES:
1. MORE FOCUS ON FOOD
Introduce new meals that give an entire Skill Tree worth of bonuses!
Let's be honest, we all use the "Nora Thunder Warrior" cause it has the best perks. Well, this way you can make use of them even whilst using other armor.
It also lends itself to HORIZON's element for preparing before fights.
2. BUFF FIRE & PLASMA
These two are easily the weakest elements and should be given major buffs!
For Plasma, just increase the maximum damage it can deal or add some sort of extra effect.
As for fire, maybe allow the status to last longer by continuing to hit it with the element.
3. BUFF TRAPS
The trapper playstyle has been massively nerfed in FORBIDDEN WEST.
In ZERO DAWN, you could just pass through traps without taking damage. BRING THAT MECHANIC BACK! Maybe through an armor skill?
Also, make it so traps do not immediately explode after just one hit by an enemy!
4. BUFF POTIONS
While health potions have been buffed in FORBIDDEN WEST, the new Cleansing and Stamina potions still feel undercooked!
For Cleansing, just double the time that it gives elemental resistance.
As for Stamina, maybe have it also restore some Valor, since grinding to fill that meter back up is a pain! In fact, allow us to turn off Valor after we're done using it!

God I would absolutely love to see the ability to use the shield wing as a shield and/or have a parry mechanic.
Parry mechanic pretty much always is a great mechanic to have in any game with combat, it is so satisfying-especially with a two-tiered reward from parry vs. perfect parry.
Parry would make sense with Aloy being nimble and not only would it be fantastic in DLC areas but it would be a huge boon to combat throughout the game as a whole.
The improvement in melee combat from Zero Dawn to Forbidden West was fantastic, and making a more nuanced melee system with parrying would bring it to exactly where it needs to be.

Will this DLC also bring updates like making a Clawstrider mount faster than walking speed or letting excess ammo go into my stash? Everything goes into the stash but not ammo? Really like the game but some design choices leave me baffled.
We don´t know anything yet except the mentioned Valor Surge,, The Pre-order Bonus and the Waterwing.

Thank you for your videos, i am currently finishing HZD and your videos really helped. Since i have sitting HFW sitting on my shelf a couple of weeks now, i also started to watch your videos on HFW. They really have me looking forword to play this game, but i am also a bit intimidated by them, i got the feeling that you can't casually play this game, that you need to optimize your gameplay, max out every weapon and use every trick like slide dodging, concentration jumps and so on to be succesfull. I hope that it turns out to be as fun and rewarding as HZD, more machines, more weapons, more skills, hopefully thats not to much. I really hope that its playable without optimizing every bit. Nevertheless looking forward to it and will definitely rewatch a couple of your videos for help. Keep up with your great content!

You certainly don’t need to, though optimizing will help of course. That being said, HFW is harder than HZD, so you will want to make use of weapon techniques for sure and upgrade your gear. Thanks to your master class on shredder gauntlets I was able to kill most machines with the ancestors return fully maxed out and even was able to do singularity mission only using that weapon

i'm about another 8 or 9 months away from saving enough to buy a ps5 and burning shores is the first thing i'm going to get 8 or 9 months is a long time but it will be worth the wait in the end also on the subject of new weapons i hope they bring a legendary bow out with strike through arrows on it i can ditch regalla's bow then but if not i can live with it

You know - I started thinking about if they build out the machine master skill tree to include another valor surge... I think it would be cool and would make sense if it would be something like a 'control blast' where aloy charges up her spear and sense out an AOE control effect that instantly overrides any machine within the radius, whether stealthed or not.

Hi Arktix, have you seen the short gameplay trailers or gotten hands on yourself? Aloy seems to have a new attack where she can ropecast to a knocked-down machine and unleash a QTE spear strike, which made me think about your knockdown builds. Vindicated or what? I don't know how much you've played Zero Dawn. But one thing that I really want to see is Guerrilla bringing all the new upgrades to all the rest of the game even outside the area of the Burning Shores. And the reason why I meantioned Zero Dawn is because when we got the Frozen Wilds, it was blatantly clear the Aloy's arms were way jacked up in comparison to what it was when we played the main game, specially when using the Nora Silent Master suit. So I think that IF we really end up getting an under water combat option I hope that can be utilized in all the other areas of the game as well.

Shorted: upgrade everything
In my predictions video, I figured Hephaestus had set up a permanent sever farm/fortress for himself, so ti avoid Gia from pulling him out of the Cusldron network and merging with him again.
Probubly on some DISTANT island with a set up like Thebes: an impenetrable bunker with a massive Geothermal generator and a huge army on standby to defend it.
But with a DIVING mount now, is it possible Hephaestus isn't on a mountain top or hiding in a Volcanoe, is it at THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN!?

A tip that i discovered while playing, especially helpful for ultra-hard players.
THE NOTEBOOK!! omg, the notebook is WAY to underrated. all my freinds that play never use it. while you can still win a battle by not, its very helpful if you are planning to fight larger and tougher machines. such as apex slaughterspines and apex thunderjaws.
instead of using your focus during battle, making yourself vulnreble to attack, use the notebook before hand and see weaknesses, weakpoints, usable weapons, ect. ect.
a lot of people go to a battle unprepared, thinking "oh this'll be easy!" but then they find themselves out of the right ammunation.
going to fight a slitherfang? oh no! you dont have frost or purgewater. easy, try to get other weapons then just one loadout, having one loadout only is a pretty bad idea since your going to find yourself in a situation where your arrows and weapons dont deal much damage to the machine your fighting.
but having a decent amount of weapons will come in handy when you need a different ammo type.
The Notebook, and having more weapons then just your main loadout, is great. cause the notebook tells you what weapons your going to need. need a certain recorce, but it explodes when machine is destroyed? easy, just equip a sharpshot bow with good tear, and your set.
dont have a weapon with fire on you? easy, replace your DSS with TSS and your set.
i hope this helps anyone tryna get into the combat of the game!

The only legendary weapon I was missing was Carja's Bane, but I've just finished the last race the other day. @Arktix spreadsheet for the items to farm before entering a ng+ to be able to upgrade every new legendary on the spot is a must IMHO. Thanks!

Yea the devs want to showcase what the ps5 can do and they've already stated there is a specific fight in the DLC that the processing power of the ps4 simply wont and can not handle.

With all the mention of playing on Ultra Hard difficulty, if anyone is wondering, the only thing you get out doing so (other than self-fulfilling sense of accomplishment) is a trophy. If you're a completionist, it'll already be on your list. Otherwise, all you get is more struggle, lol.
Speaking from personal experience, UH NG+ felt way too easy, while only towards the Embassy is UH fresh NG a bit of a hassle.
But it's actually very doable and quickly became fun. I have a 'Easy UH' playlist just to show anyone that the game literally gives/offers you anything you need bit by bit from the start.
Well, other than patience, curiosity to explore and learn to (ab)use the game's mechanics... and some sense. :p I couldn't buy those lol.
I am super excited, I am guaranteed a dlc after June when exams are over, also for frozen wilds I liked it, so I actually have high expectations on this

I've been leveling up since my first playthrough in NG+. Since I finished the main story, I've been biding my time for any DLC expansion in the future, hence Burning Shores. All I can do now is wait.
Speaking of DLC, not to get ahead of myself, I am curious if Guerilla will develop few more DLC areas taking place during and after the Main story. Up north, I saw some kind of fortress in the mountains north of No Man's Land and it might have something to do with the Oseram. After clearing out the first Rebel camp, it later became an Oseram settlement now newly named "Hollowrock". We'll all have to keep Elisium in mind though.
I was hoping for the Base itself to be expanded with few levels and rooms aside from the repair bey. There has to be more accessible areas we can explore I mean Regional operatives might have other work spaces, perhaps a kitchen, another social space and more living quarters below 'cause that elevator is there for a reason. I hope guerilla will add some more content.
As for allies, We all know we'll no doubt encounter with Brin and Gildon again in the Burning Shores but I hope we could gain more new allies to join Aloy's team at The Base. For example; Aratak and Inatut from the Frozen Wilds expansion joined the final battle for the "Looming Shadow" mission. Perhaps we could also see other allies from the Frozen Wilds like the werak trio Urkai, Tatai and Tulemak.

Hey Artrix! I just figured out purgewater will enhance freezing abilities. Use creatures weak to it but strong to frost to freeze MUCH faster
Did a story difficulty new game plus just so i could have fun taking my time in burning shores, and just for practice made another save and doing a ultra hard at the moment just to keep my "skills" up to date, noticed some new form of rope cast to get to enemies and do a critical melee attack, will be interesting to see what new skills they add, and if we can somehow use all our champion tokens on maybe resources at some vendor, or skill point buffs with all the extra levels we reach hit ghost level 107 i believe now so would be nice to be able to spend those.
Really your load out all depends on you. Each person has a different play style and weapon load out.
I started grinding and farming also will be making the weapons op using your guide after that wait for the result of the giveaway

0:21 those are not exclusive to just the pre-order, you can get those pre-order items at the first settlement aloy comes to in the DLC, its already been confirmed, the pre-orderbonus just allows you to get the dye and bow early
Hmm I'm not sure about that. I interpreted the PlayStation blog post as you would only be able to buy them in the first settlement if you had pre-ordered.
I hope the game gets a increase in ammo capacity or at the very least reduce the crafting cost during battle. Why? I like when things go Boom! With my Spear.

The more I look at the image the more I'm inclined to believe that's a new enemy. Aloy is in a fighting stance and so is the other person. If they were an ally then Aloy would be looking back at the Horus instead of standing up on the mount. Also I know a Horus is huge but it dwarfing the Hollywood sign just makes that even more clear. Aerial combat has to be in the dlc because there's no possible way to fight one of those from the ground. The one we go under in the main story to find hades made aloy look like an ant by comparison. This one looks to be even bigger

Would be a bit annoying, since there's not even enough Greenshine to get all upgrades and unique vendor purchases. Not a big deal if you grinded that all before NG+ but still
There's enough Greenshine to at least be able to upgrade any weapons and outfits in the base game. For what it's worth, I tested it myself a few playthroughs :).
Just be careful with buying Key resources from Vendors until you fully upgrade (or just check the amounts you need) all 'Greenshine gear' and you'll be fine.
So if you need Greenshine in the BS (lol) dlc, then I suspect there's probably more than enough to get you covered.
@@leoparaskevopoulos2752 greenshine is theoretically crystallised blaze. The Burning shores, being a place with lava, should hopefully bring some extra greenshine or new greenshine fragments.
well i need to save up for a ps5... the cost of living crisis etc put a dent in that project for past year.. guerilla were a bit cheeky releasing game on ps4/ps5 knowing ppl anticipated DLC as in original game. and then announce the DLC and at same time announce its for PS5 only. ofc its Sony company making both ..
Yeah I think Sony is really pushing their studios to go PS5 exclusive with new content.

When Frozen Wilds came out and gotten the exclusive coils like the Pristine Weapon Coil. I New Game plus so many times just to mid max my equipment.
I did the same thing in Forbidden West just for the Purple 15% Concentration Damage weapon coil before I found out about the duplication exploit. Now I have 10,000 of them including the purple 25% Critical damage coil. Lol

I might be wrong but, dont we see Aloy using "minefield" in the "New Threats Gameplay Trailer" against the Shellsnapper? And in the Cinematic Trailer she throws a bomb underwater.
Idk if they were teasing us the whole time or just set aside some gameplay mechanics just before game release to bring it back for the dlc.
The minefield you are referring to was likely renamed to the second Valor Surge (idk the actual name) in the Trapper skill tree.

I would be happy if they expanded mounted combat, and have more melee weapons.
Since the game keeps track of how many times you fought the different types of machines and adjust the probability of encountering the Apex variants accordingly, by the end of my 2nd New Game+ on Ultra Hard, I was rarely seeing non-Apex machines. I'm wondering if that carries over to Burning Shores and if so, should my first playthrough be with my base game save without all the Legendary gear maxed out instead.

This video is missing something. The absolute most important thing you need to do before Burning Shores drops: Get a PS5. The DLC doesn't work on the PS4 version.

Not 100% sure, but I have a backup save that starts after you finish the game. I'm at the beginning of NG+, so I think I can use my backup for the dlc

Good question. I imagine if you’re playing on a NG+ that will continue to be the case when the DLC starts, but I’m not sure you’ll be able to get champions tokens in the Burning Shores itself. Maybe you’ll only be able to get them from original content.
I should have done the NG+ ultra hard playthrough earlier because now i want to do it but the dlc is so close idk if i want to play the whole game while the dlc is out 😢
