I like the beach front location. In the UK home in my name, our Bangkok Condo in the wife's name. Tax reasons. Last year, had to show my face in the Land Register office so that I was on side and funded the condo. No noise, 24.7 electricity, and finger touch security. Take your time before you buy, as with ghosts in the air, Thais prefer new builds!

Well, your wife is Thai, and you two could certainly buy this house. She would own 51% and you 49%, I believe that as you purchased it together after the marriage, anything purchased together after the wedding is community property anyway. Maybe you two should get it. How far away is it from the folks? the one thing I dont like about where we are is there is no real surf in Rayong. Sukanya and I are thinking about buying a home after I retire. Right now we are just renting a condo.
For the sake of not being sarcastic lol... My Wife and I don't wish to purchase another home we don't spend our time in the one we have.

I'm sure someone in the comments mentioned that having a Thai wife is not the only way to effectively "own" a house. But very savvy lawyers would be needed to set that up for you.
