A great visual moment! Ritchie conducts, twirls and turns And everyone follows him in one impulse. Ian Paice proceeds with two more notes (cymbal and cowbell), but Ritchie accepts it with a kind smile. When Lord comes, Blackmore must be true to himself. Mr. Paice seems to enjoy this interplaying. Mutual understanding on all lines. An unic band! Still missing them in format Blackmore-Lord-Paice.

Interesting as the M2 and M8 line ups are the two most successful DP line ups. For me I've always thought it was a universal opinion that DP M2 is the accepted distinctive version of DP, however talking to younger DP fans lately and for most of them the Steve Morse era stuff is the only Purple they know, they can hold a 2 hour conversation about the best bits of Bananas or Infinite but struggle to name many tracks off In Rock or Fireball haha, it's crazy. I guess all the online Deep Purple websites, podcasts, interviews etc has rubbed off on the younger fans. I watched a young guitarist absolutely nail "Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming" then he goes straight into the intro from "The Surprising" afterwards I asked him to do a Ritchie Blackmore riff, he didn't know any (apart from smoke) we talked for a while and he said him and all his friends loved mostly all the albums from Perpendicular to Whoosh and owned them all on CD, it's amazing how to most youngsters the Morse era to them is the real DP, i read recently that Whoosh is their best selling album since Who Do We Think We Are. I guess when Jon left the band in 2002 he had no idea how huge the band were about to get again, I still love M2 but have to accept M8 are catching up fast. To me Ritchie will always be a legend, I guess to alot of kids though it's Steve Morse and not Ritchie that's the definitive Deep Purple guitarist, thanks largely to the international success of "Now What" "Infinite" & "Whoosh" these records have surpassed every album this legendary band has put out all the way back to "Who Do We Think We Are" one positive though, at least people are talking about this band again and taking it seriously for the first time since Gillan and Glover departed way back in 1973. Let's all prey for one more album 🙂
I’m a younger person, going on 14 in 2 weeks, and I prefer this era of DP. Who Do We Think We Are is my favorite album of theirs, and my favorite song of theirs is Smooth Dancer. I don’t know any of their riffs besides Smoke On The Water yet but that needs to change.

Blackmore's live guitar playing is usually more theatrical show by the man himself than good guitar playing. In this recording Blackmore plays very sloppy but pretends to play great guitar, but he plays shit! Most fans are impressed by his theatrical personality disorder but have little understanding of music!
Илья Девяткин No he wasn’t. As Davi Leao says, he regained his form in the late 80’s, early 90’s. He seemed totally uninspired during the early to mid 80’s. Blackmore in the 70’s was untouchable in the rock world.

Hello from Brazil
Спасибо вам большое за прекрасную музыку мне понравилась 👍 желаю вам удачи и успехов вашем творчестве!
Sadly a horrendous version of their masterpiece - played with what I can only call contempt. I will take consolation in remembering earlier versions.
yikes ... mistakenly clicked on this one .. ouch Richie
Жаль!!! Забывает наше поколение своих героев......А Блэкмор --- лучший!!!!!!!!

Always hated Blackmores tone and playing around this time.
Kinda sloppy compared to his 70s stuff... a little disappointing really
Yeah, he definitely wasn't in his best shape in the '80s
@@HerobrineGbriel are you kidding? He always was in good shape. This little movie shows what happened when the mood in the band lower then 0 degree.
