I have been bowling for just on 10 years. I started playing out doors, however, for the last 3 years I have played indoors only. I find this much more enjoyable because there are far fewer variables that you have no control over indoors than outdoors. I have enjoyed your videos Richard and you have certainly given me some new things to think about. This video, along the one about aiming line, is in my opinion, probably your "best" one. There are no magic moves to help you with getting your length, weight, right. As you state here it is all about training your brain. Your tip about bowling with your eyes shut, having set yourself up on the mat, is something I intend to try out when I am next at a practice session at the club I belong to. I think this will not only help with length but also with visualisation. Thank you Richard. All the best with your
    project.

Very helpful, your best tutorial yet and nicely presented. I’ve been bowling for 8 years and you’ve given me some good ideas for drills, thank you.

Thank you Alistair I appreciate what you have said. I enjoyed the last video and the one on aiming lines. I really did close my eyes. Some bowlers just bowl by touch and nothing else - me I like to get everything technically in place then I can relax and move over to touch and feel
    Thanks
    Richard

You're very welcome Valerie - much appreciated. I have many more theories and tips to help us all improve our game of indoor bows.

I can bowl really well indoors during practice and roll ups, but these sessions are almost always when the rinks are near empty and the room relatively cool, this is the time when I have time to commit...on Monday evenings I play two bowl triples in a league, the only league I can play in due to work commitments ..the way that the carpet plays is completely different on league nights, very unpredictable, the temperature is higher and so many more people stood on the carpet..it bamboozles many players, it's particularly hard because you only have two bowls per end to find correct line and length..really frustrating that I struggle to produce the same kind of form in league games, I don't know what the solution is? Thank you for the videos BTW, appreciated.
