Why is Banquo so important in Macbeth? | Top grade character analysis

In many ways, Banquo is just as important a character as Macbeth, and many critics have commented on him as the noble foil to the tragic hero. But is that really all there is to Banquo? Or is there much more to unpack about his character? In this video, I propose a new way of looking at Banquo with close reference to his moments throughout the play. Definitely one to sit through the whole way if you're after a top grade character analysis.

Hi! Amazing video!! i just wanted to clarify something in the video as for the close reading of act 4, isn't Banquo's ghost appearance in Act 3.4 and not in act 4? thank you so much as always!!!
Yes he appears in 3.4 - sorry must be peabrain moment / maybe I was referencing a different version of the text...!
