Notice how this entire fight was completely serious for Peter. Like Peter didn’t make a single joke or taunt while fighting Otto; proving that this whole scene meant a lot to Spider-Man.
I noticed that, too! Usually, Peter's a snarky, sarcastic little shit. 😋 But, in this instance, he's clearly hurt and, while he emerges victorious, he doesn't feel that either of them has won as they've both lost something, namely an important friendship.

This was a frickin dark Spider Man game. Otto stabbed the one man who gave a damn about him. At least with Amazing Spider Man, the people were able to survive. Here, Peter Parker is forced to choose between Aunt May and most of New York. And it freaking affects him because he feels responsible. Doc Ock is an amazing villain.
It's how it always was in the comics

I fucking love this game. What Otto just said is a really twisted interpretation of "great power comes great responsibility" line. It doesn't come from a place of compassion like Peter, rather he helps others because he sees himself as the only person who could. Insomniac really hit this one out of the park.

Uncle Ben dies because of Peter’s selfish actions
Aunt May dies because of Peter’s *selfless* actions
Peter was a selfish person trying to gain stuff at the beginning and didn't hear Uncle Ben, but this time Peter was being a selfless person and Aunt May couldn't keep up with him. Peter wasn't responsible and someone died, but now Peter was so responsible that he had to choose. And he chose correctly, even when it hurts like hell.

That was the saddest ending of aunt may. But no matter what, Peter must do something is save the world and he will never forget for what Ben tell him. “With great power comes great responsibility”!

I have not even played this game and this ending had made me actually sad and I can kinda peace together the story and connection between the characters
It's a fun game I have it
I got so engrossed in the game i actually started crying...cause the game makes you feel like spiderman, if you see a crime you help like spiderman would do...but it also makes you feel like peter parker
Just believe me.. you really just 'kinda' peace the story together. It's not that complex but doc ock was a completely different person from that ending. If you like that ending you definetly should play it and enjoy every aspect from the story
This is honestly some of the best acting I've seen in a video game; it's really incredible how the cutscenes genuinely felt like they were straight out of a movie.

Well, we have three possibilities of a sequel of this game:
1st: Miles Morales continuing Spider-Man's legacy, just like The Ultimate Universe.
2nd: A direct sequel with Peter returning being Spider Man after years, just like Sam Raimi's Spider Man 2.
3rd: A prequel of Spider-Man's origins, pretty similar to Sam Raimi's Spider Man 1, and MCU's Spider-Man Homecoming.
Pedro Henrique Jatobá Marcom why not just have Peter and Miles both being Spider-Man without someone retiring? It’s proven to work before, only now it’d be in video game form (other than a Lego game of course)

One of my main petitions is that they make Green Goblin the villain, Black Cat having a main role and make Venom an anti-hero who is somewhat of a friend and foe at the same time with Spider-Man. But they can’t have Harry Osborn as Venom. We need Eddie Brock
My opinion of what i feel theyll do: miles morales and peter as spiderman .osbourn becomes the green goblin, harry vemon is released, black cat returns and possibly more of task master. Peter helps mister negative and MJ returns from symkaria.

The spider-armour mark II is in the game, but that wasn't it, that was the Anti-Ock suit, made from the same materials and in the same lab as Ock's arms

Main the facial animation is top notch. Really brings those reels to a whole new level

one of my favorite parts of this fight is that when peter finds out otto always knew he was spiderman, the captions for him change from spider-man to peter. The fight becomes personal after this, it’s no longer spider-man stopping otto, it’s peter trying to save the man he once knew.
Man, that "You were everything I wanted to be!" hits so hard.
I can't think of any other video games that've struck a chord like that.
A couple of things that might happen if there is Spider-Man 2 PS4. 1. Venom will be added as a boss. 2. There will be a cutseen of Otto breaking out of prison. 3. Peter will have miles on his side. 4 mayor may be goblin
This is freakin awesome
They really did what they set out to do with this game: they put the Peter Parker in Spiderman. A stellar vision for the story and the script along with a great cast of voice actors and cinematic music really brought this complex character to life and gave him the depth he deserves. It hits most people so emotionally, and I truly believe it's because of all the heart and soul they put into this game. They paid attention to every little nuance and detail - and the end result is something touching, inspiring people to do good for the common man even when it means you have something to lose. As per the famous motto: "with great power comes great responsibility". Sacrifice. The decisions Peter made throughout this game were something to behold, and the complete experience has further shaped him into a monumental hero for thousands of kids, teens and adults across the world. Thank you, Insomniac Games. Looking forward to a sequel!

I clicked on this video expecting multiple endings and a secret one. Instead, I got the ending, the mid-credits scene, and the end credits scene. Good video, but that's not really multiple endings, and there was really no secret ending.

In the potential sequel, I’m betting that miles is gonna be spider man so that means it could be a game where we play as miles, AI assistant, or online co op play ( hopefully) . Doc ock attemptd revenge or my guess, Norman Osborn goes crazy with power to save his son and becoming green goblin (like mr. Fries in Batman) and it looks like Harry Osborne is gonna be venom, not Eddie Brock, which in an earlier mission there’s a trash man who helps you find your stuff and his name was Eddie, I was hoping it was an early cameo for venom but I don’t think it’s likely. I’d also like to see if they put lizard in this somehow. Also sandman and carnage would be great. Sorry if I’m typing too much and thank you for having the time to read this

The OG Snake well actually aunt May is peters mothers sister. But blood or no Peters family isn’t all gone. People he cared about from villains to friends is somewhat a family to him. He cared about the Osborns, his hero Octavious, his former friend Eddie brock, his fan max Dillon, his ex girlfriends dad Adrian toomes, and he even realized his mistakes with flint Marko. He tries to make bad guys good. Showing you care about people makes you worth while of a family member don’t you think?
Uhh, May is not Mary Parker's sister, she's her sister in law. May's maiden name is Reily and Mary's is Fitzpatrick. Ben and Richard (Peter's dad) were brothers if that's what you were thinking of.

It's extra sad because in Spider-verse, Peter says that if you focus on the people you love, saving the city is easier. But here he has to choose the city or his loved ones
