I'd like to see more full face makeup tips for women over 40....eyes, wrinkles, etc. Your videos are wonderful and I love them all. I just need HELP! :)
No kidding, me too! AND approaching 50! My skin has completely changed from 20 years ago and I have no idea how to handle it. I will try some of this, as I already blend products to attempt to look "normal"....whatever that is.
I bought the IT Cosmetics anti-aging armor after I watched your video and I absolutely LOVE it. I wear it all the time because I don't really like full heavy coverage foundation, and I have dry aging skin and I don't like to use powder. After seeing this I remembered I have the Cover FX drops so I am going to try this technique to add a little more coverage to some areas. You know the BEST tips and techniques ever! Please keep sharing them. I LOVE your channel 😍✨💕
Elle, what a wonderful tip. I have struggled using foundations because of my sensitive skin but I also need to protect with an SPF so this should solve my dilemma combining foundations. As always thank you for a great video. Hope all is well with baby girl!
Happy to say that it arrived and I am loving it so far. The shade I ordered is perfect, melts right into my skin. I used it just by itself and it was perfect. Tried it again mixed with a little foundation. Great recommendation and thanks ao much!
Dang! That combo lasted FOREVER! And I seem to have much better luck with tinted moisturizer or B.B. creams than actual foundation - I’ll have to check out those drops-thank you! ❤️
I used to have terrible acne and scarring and dermablend was the only foundation and concealer I used. Since my skin has cleared up I’ve been using Bobbi Brown but just found out they’re discontinuing my favorite foundation! I might have to go back to dermablend and try this mix. Just picked up a sample of the MUFE water foundation in Sephora though, so we’ll see how that goes first. Love your videos! It’s so nice to see tips and products on someone with a similar skin tone/age.
I bought this at the Ulta sale last week after your recommendation and I'm shocked by how comfortable this foundation is. It feels like skin! It's easy to use too much so I'm still working on that but I love it so far!! Thanks!!!
I started wearing this about 4 months ago and I love it!!! Sometimes I mix it with my It cc cream and sometimes I use it alone . It’s wonderful . I have finally found the foundation of my dreams . They better never stop making this !!
Hi Elle. I had never heard of the Dermablend foundation drops before. This looks like a great product! Even though I’m 60, my oily skin seems to make most foundations slide off my face. Thanks so much for the great recommendation!💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I have some “glow” coverage foundations that are a tad too light for me and I need longer wear plus a bit darker so this should work perfectly. 👍🏻 I’d rather buy a small bottle of this than toss out my other two foundations that I like but they just need a little something, something. 😊 looks gorgeous.
You look flawless! What a great idea. I purchased the IT cosmetics armor 50+ sunscreen and have been loving it, but the color was a little to light... now I can mix it with this and hopefully get the same coverage you got. I absolutely love how it looks on you. Thank you for all the great tips and recommendations.
i knew about dermablend, but hadn't seen it in a while. when i was a kid, they had a very heavy-duty pancake make-up, that they marketed to people with conditions such as port wine stains. they were always considered very good, but a little difficult to use. glad they are still around and have broadened their horizons.............thanks again for the great video!
They still have that. I was reading about it. They claim that one's skin "looks like skin" after application. I kind of wanted to try it. Just try it because I would love to see what full, really full coverage looks like, but I don't believe I could tolerate the feeling of it for long. However maybe it doesn't feel so heavy --maybe that's why it's been so successful.
Thank you Elle. I have never thought I had these kind of options before. This is a very enlightening video. I have lots of tinted moisturizers that need more coverage and I will try to customize using your suggestions and experiment. I would like to try the “It Cosmetics” 50 spf sunscreen and add to some liquid foundation from the Almay. In my collection. The Mabelline and Rimmel foundations in the tube are creamy mousy and I don’t think they will customize like a liquid foundation. I already start with a layer of serum under my foundation before applying moisturizer cream or gel. I will look for these Nx drops you talk about. Sound like a great way to stretch high end foundation too. This Derma foundation looks fabulous on you, beautiful like real skin!
I've been enjoying the feel of the Urban Decay all in one but fell that it doesn't cove my redness enough. I might give this a try and see how it works. Thanks for the tip.
Super tips!!! Again, I miss your mini me. I would love to see a eye color corrector/concealer video. From start to finish. Your skin always looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this. I have not found the foundation for my skin. I tend to prefer tinted moisturizers. So I’m excited to try this with my Jouer tinted.moisturizer. Yay❤️
Elle, cant wait to try this. I've been having major issues trying to find a foundation, CC or BB cream that will stay in place and lasts. Thank you for sharing this tip.
Thanks so much for educating me on the drops! I have a hard time finding the right foundation for my dry, mature skin. I think this might be the way to go👍
Beautiful! Question...do you re-apply the sunscreen when you’re outdoors or how do you manage maintaining the efficacy of the sunscreen? I spend a lot of time hiking with my husband and never reapply the sunscreen and as I suffer from vanity, I never go anywhere without at least tinted B.B. creme, mascara, and brows and then worry that the sunscreen is no longer effective after sweating and all that but don’t want to mess up my existing application? Thank you!
Bonjour Elle, I would like to know what you think of Tarte's "Rainforest of the Sea radiance drops" mixed in with a medium coverage foundation for my dry skin as I love the glowy look. Also, I have received the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light & Dim Light and it is really rare that I am really impressed by a product but I must say I am blown away ! Even my husband has noticed how illuminating (but not high-lighting or glittery) this is for my 53 year old skin. Thank you so much for your excellent advice. Bisous, Michele
Elle I live this natural look on you, beautiful as always. Clinic has a 'BIY Drops', do you know if this is the same type of product like you've mentioned? Just asking because I wear a lot of their skincare products. Thanks Elle, Luvs ❤
your face still looked gorg 11 hours later! I'm totally getting these drops! I would love a lighter daily look versus my full-coverage scenario I have to do now (I have melasma so.....no makeup is never an option >_
Tried this combo at Ulta yesterday, and it does look so beautiful on the skin! I bought the drops. Will purchase the sunscreen thru your link to show some love and support! My question is about primer. I have the Tatcha Silk Canvas, but I noticed you didn't use it with this. Is it not compatible? Do I need a different kind of primer for his formula?
Thanks for this video! I have two expensive foundations that I bought the wrong shades for because I am always color tested wrong. Anyway, they have a gorgeous finish and based on your video, I ordered the two lightest shades of the Dermablend to try. I’m pale enough and the shades, while dark on me, are not dark shades, so I assumed the lightest Dermablend shade might turn them white. So the two lightest shades came today and I tried out the second lightest with my Guerlain tonight. It lightened the foundation beautifully (one drop for one pump) but it didn’t change the finish, which is not very heavy. So again, thanks! I was afraid the foundations were just going to languish in my drawer, but now I can use them.
Re-watching this video and have 2 questions: Is it easier to lighten a dark basic foundation or the other way around? Since you bring this up under your eyes, when would you apply your Colorscience under eye product? Thanks 💋
What a great idea! I have a Hollika Hollika bb cream that I love the finish of & the spf protection but it's a tad white & I'd like it to wear longer. Same goes for the wear time of the It Cosmetics CC cream(but the shade Light seems to be ok if not a tad yellow.) I also really liked a sample of the MUFE HD foundation I got in my Sephora Playbox. It was a perfect shade match but I would have preferred a teensy bit more coverage for some veins & definitely longer wear time. I'm still using the sample but have been on the fence to purchase due to the reasons I just mentioned ( why buy a foundation as sheer as a bb that doesn't have spf?) I remember the reviews of the Coverfx drops being quite mixed. But Dermablend is like a total cover face & body made for surgical scars type product so it figures their product would be more pigmented & heavy duty. Wow, thanks for the great tip!
Why is it everytime I consider purchasing a new foundation I come her searching your take on the item first💜Oh wait because you do such great informative demos on products :)Thank You For Being So Thourough & Honest
My word Elle, you look fantastic. Dermablend? Not heard of this one, but I use bb creams and this is probably what I need to get more umph (as you say) 😉😉. Could face oil be added to the mix if using a foundation? Thanks Elle 🌹🌹 xxx
I know you love the Ren products and I bought the Smooth Canvas primer over your recommendation and I love it! I also bought the evercalm global Mobil protection day cream! Does it have spf in it? I have emailed the company several times with no response! Just wasn’t sure if I needed to top it with one or not, Love all your videos and buy many things off your recommendation! Your truly know your stuff!!
Hi. I wish there was a way to do this with concealer. I’m still struggling to find one that’s not dry that gives good coverage. What Bobbi Brown foundation did you mix with it? I have the BB cream and the Skin foundation (the full coverage matte broke me out). That is so pretty on you. I’m amazed. Definitely going to try it👍
I loved this thank you. I'm going to try mixing some of my foundations. I can play mad scientist. Can you put the name of the nail polishes you use? You have lovely hands and your polish is so pretty with your skiin tone. Thank you for your videos and I have learned so much from you. I'm 58 and am late learning about make-up. It's less intimidating because of your videos. Thanks so much.
What color are you using in the Dermablend? I got the NYX one and I’m liking it so far. I’m thinking I might need a next color up though but I am liking it! Thank you for your tips ❤️
I bought the IT Cosmetics tinted sunscreen on your recommendation last week and I also just so happen to have picked up the Dermablend pigment drops in the same trip to Ulta, but I haven’t even taken it out of the box yet. So, I have BOTH of these products and I’m so excited to try this. Also, I have the Marc Jacobs foundation - i THINK it’s ReMarcable, but the name isn’t on the bottle. On the sticker on the bottom it just says “10 Ivory Light Genius Gel Super Charged Foundation.” Is that the full-pigment concentrate? I clicked on the link you put in the description box and my bottle looks just like that except mine has a pump - that’s really strange because it’s the only foundation I could find that Marc Jacobs has on Sephora’s website. When I bought it, I thought I was buying the Re(Marc)able foundation, but it’s a full 1-oz bottle, now a small bottle like my Cover FX pigment drops or the Dermablend or other pigment drops I have. I’d LOVE a way to use this foundation because I so like a full coverage foundation on the are of my face between the cheeks and jawline because I have light spots (kind of like the opposite of age spots or sun spots) in that area of the face that I like to cover, but I don’t like the look of a full coverage foundation on other areas of my face. And the remarcable was too heavy for me and I would love to find a way to use it. I’m going to try the exact combination that you used in this video but I’m also going to try mixing the IT sunscreen (which I LOVE) with the remarcable - just to see if I can find a way to actually use it instead of just letting it go bad in my makeup drawer. Anyway, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for this video! I don’t have a ride-or-die or holy grail foundation yet, and I have tried EVERYTHING! So customizing might be the way for me to go. 😊
I didn't know IT had a tinted sunscreen!!!! I want to see her video on it!! Because ofwhere I live I need to have at least 4 or 5 good sunscreens, plus my daughter lives in a sun-scorched place too, so I'm buying for her and my 3 little grandchildren. They are all fair with blue eyes, (not as sensitive as a redhead,) but dont want then to burn since we have so much skin cancer in the family and they say that you set yourself up for it by getting bad sunburn b4 the age of 18! Anyway I'm going on search for that video of Elle 's but if anyone wants to post a link to it, I'd be very appreciative.☺
Hi Elle great demo! I love the Dermablend brand I use the concealers which are very good. I haven't seen the drops yet in Canada hopefully we will get them here. I could try the Nyx drops if not. xxoo
Excellent video! I was just about to hop on Sephora.com to purchase the Ciate Dewy Stick and now I really want to try some sort of pigment drops too. Guess I'll just have to go in to Sephora instead (I don't trust picking out new foundations online)!
I've been hooked on this video and the techniques for the past year so many thanks for the tips. The IT Anti-aging Amour is just not available anywhere. Can you tell me what your best recommendation would be for a replacement? Thanks!
Great vid, thank you. I recently subscribed to your channel and I have been enjoying what you share : ) the other day you mentioned deep set eyes and girl yours are not as deep set as mine are ha ha so I just wondered if you could make a vid for us deep set eyes girls using colors, shimmer shades etc. I love eyeshadows (including mattes) I love color and I love me some bling ha! XOXO
What’s your shade in this for reference? I’m stuck between a few of the “N” choices but I noticed what I pick is in the fair and light group which seems off for me. (25 and 30n are in fair?) Also, do we want to stick with as close to our usual shade or do we choose these differently because we’re mixing? P.s. Been loving the IT 50 and the Water Blend. A drop of pigment may be perfect for that extra touch of coverage. Like I mentioned to you yesterday, I ordered some NudeStix but today ran to Ulta and got the Mally cream shadow sticks and OMG, you were on point once again...I’m LOVING the cream shadows. (I would have grabbed these drops had you posted this sooner today...Lol!). Thanks for always having videos with such great and USEFUL suggestions. Have a great weekend. -Stef
Stef F I'm wanting to know this too Elle. Choose our normal shade or does it depend on if we're lightening or darkening the foundation were mixing it into?
You look so good before you put anything on your face! I do appreciate the video, but just sayin' ☺ You have really pretty skin. I was on the Dermablend website and somehow found my way here. I have been mixing potions all my life to change the color of my makeup including those particular formulas which I put on my arms and legs, since back in the day all you could buy were those things that looked so orange😲🤗 so my sister and I found a way to makes the tanning creams look more normal aka color of natural skin with a light tan. Love💕 this concept--thanks again🌴🌝
This is about the 3rd time I've watched thsi. Never heard of Dermablend drops till I saw Elle's video. Been fascinated by this stuff ever since. But CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHICH SHADE TO ORDER! 😨 My shade, a lighter one, maybe darker one.....? Looks like something good to lighten or darken foundation but I'm slso interested in just seeing what it looks like on it's own, in my regular shade. If it were only $20, I could order 3 shades but, can't afford to do that just to play around with it☺🤹♀️
Really great tip Elle I am mixed race Caribbean/English can be difficult finding color match, I am using ordinary oil free it has under tones of yellow compatibile with my blend of skin, I will try mixing with dermo blend makeup to takeaway a little of the yellow tone. 💋👍💕 Ebony
Thanks so much Elle knowing this should help me to be able to wear some of the foundations that I've bought online that are'nt a good match??. Do you think thinner consistency foundations mixed with a thicker foundation would do about the same thing that the Dermablend Drops does?? As always I love this video and I will see you in the next one...love ya!!! xox
Angelia Howard great question. It might but what is special with this is that it is just pigment so you aren’t adding any extra weight to the face adding this one in xoxo

Your skin looks soo hydrated!! What do you use? Your skincare pls
Really!!! Looks nice doesn't she? I agree, and would love to see more.
Yeah I'd love to see a video
Thanks! Great tips, I have the CoverFX drops. You just gave me some more ways to use it. I’m excited to use them again now.
I love the idea of mixing the drops with a tinted sunscreen except that it will dilute the SPF of the sunscreen. Thanks for the video. Cheers!
Hi Elle. I had never heard of the Dermablend foundation drops before. This looks like a great product! Even though I’m 60, my oily skin seems to make most foundations slide off my face. Thanks so much for the great recommendation!💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
FiftyPlusBeauty omg this would be perfect for you xoxo
Elle Leary Artistry what number shade are u wearing in the video?
This tip is so amazing Elle. This would totally work for me. Less settings is always a good thing for my dry skin!!! You look gorgeous!!!
Robbie Curbo 😘😘😘
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! i knew about dermablend, but hadn't seen it in a while. when i was a kid, they had a very heavy-duty pancake make-up, that they marketed to people with conditions such as port wine stains. they were always considered very good, but a little difficult to use. glad they are still around and have broadened their horizons.............thanks again for the great video!
They still have that. I was reading about it. They claim that one's skin "looks like skin" after application. I kind of wanted to try it.
The thumbnail for this video is exceptionally stunning- you always look radiant and beautiful but love this look
I've been enjoying the feel of the Urban Decay all in one but fell that it doesn't cove my redness enough. I might give this a try and see how it works. Thanks for the tip.
WoW in natural light looks great
Love it! I have been wondering about pigment drops! You explain so much! Thanks Elle!
Super tips!!! Again, I miss your mini me.
I would love to see a eye color corrector/concealer video. From start to finish. Your skin always looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Allie Beth awe thanks!! Not showing her as much for privacy. But great idea I will work on an updated one for you guys
Allie Beth ....YES, please Elle!
awesome! I bought the anti aging armor after your review video...I may have to try this too!
Love this. I have not found the foundation for my skin. I tend to prefer tinted moisturizers. So I’m excited to try this with my Jouer tinted.moisturizer. Yay❤️
i like your voice and this is a good video.. i bought this and used it this week, i also use the one for body, its amazing
Great video Elle. What eyeshadow are you wearing? Looks beautiful for every day. By the way, you have the most beautiful skin!!
I never thought it would be so versatile thank you.for the video
This is such an great foundation tip. Thanks so much Elle.
I can’t wait to try this combination. This sounds just like what I’ve been looking for. ❤️❤️❤️❤️your videos!!!!
Yassssss! I need me some Dermablend for this TX summer coming up. I absolutely love that wall color ❤❤
Elle, cant wait to try this. I've been having major issues trying to find a foundation, CC or BB cream that will stay in place and lasts. Thank you for sharing this tip.
Thanks so much Elle for these tips. Your skin is beautiful!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!! Appreciate everything!!!!!! 😍
Thanks so much for educating me on the drops! I have a hard time finding the right foundation for my dry, mature skin. I think this might be the way to go👍
I’ve been needing to add SPF and I have this foundation I love it have no idea why I haven’t tried mixing with a SPF, thank you!!

I am definitely going to try this!! Ulta has that IT tinted sunscreen half off later this month...you know I’m down for that!😉💗

Just purchased at Ulta want to add to my CC cream which is to light. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks Elle for the tip using these drops as a spot blemish concealer.
xoxoxo
This was fantastic! Thank u, Elle!
This is great gave me lots of ideas. Thank you for sharing
I can't wait to get this! Thx!

Elle Thank You So Much For The hints! I love this and I will give it a try ❤️

😂😂 thank you love!
This is gorgeous!!
Love this! I use a lot of CC, BB cream products because my skin is older. Thank you :))
I tried these drops and could see it sitting in my pores. I do prep my skin any suggestions?

Hey there hunny. I will have to look into Dermadrops, never heard of them before. Thanks so much for sharing!! XOXO Sharon
Had both... trying it now!! I am perpetually searching for a foundation that doesnt dry my textured smile lines! :)

Looks fab! ☺️ 💕 Dermablend Drops are not available yet in the UK! ☹️ Will have to try another brand! ☺️ Thank you for the tip! ☺️ 💕 Mia x
Hi Elle great demo! I love the Dermablend brand I use the concealers which are very good. I haven't seen the drops yet in Canada hopefully we will get them here. I could try the Nyx drops if not. xxoo
I wear this alone and absolutely love it, but now I will try it in my primer and also test it with a moisturizer. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks!
tinted Elta MD Sunscreen
I am going to try this today. Heading to the store :)
Love this way to customize!! What color derma blend do you have? Your skin coloring seems very close to mine.
25N ❤️
Thank you♥️
If I am the color Figi in NARS Sheer Glow, would you happen to know what color I should choose for Dermablend? Thanks for the tips, You look lovely 😊
XOXO
What number shade is it? Oh I see. it’s n25.
Hey Elle! Great tutorial! I will for sure try it! Thx! Xo
I learn so much from you.
I am N25!! Yay!! I am so glad you are liking everything xoxo
yensid normal shade!! Xoxo
Elle I think I missed it but what color are you using in the drops?
Thank You
Does anyone know what shade she used? Thanks♥️
Could you mix this with a drop of facial oil such as squalane?
Can I mix this product with say regular moisturizer (example Olay sensitive skin moisturizer)?
Flawless you are amazing 💕💕💕💕
You look so good before you put anything on your face! I do appreciate the video, but just sayin' ☺ You have really pretty skin. I was on the Dermablend website and somehow found my way here. I have been mixing potions all my life to change the color of my makeup including those particular formulas which I put on my arms and legs, since back in the day all you could buy were those things that looked so orange😲🤗 so my sister and I found a way to makes the tanning creams look more normal aka color of natural skin with a light tan.
Love💕 this concept--thanks again🌴🌝
Hi, i know this vid was forever ago, but what shade dermablend are you using here?
💋👍💕 Ebony
Thank you for the perfect tip
Thanks so much Elle knowing this should help me to be able to wear some of the foundations that I've bought online that are'nt a good match??. Do you think thinner consistency foundations mixed with a thicker foundation would do about the same thing that the Dermablend Drops does?? As always I love this video and I will see you in the next one...love ya!!! xox
Angelia Howard great question. It might but what is special with this is that it is just pigment so you aren’t adding any extra weight to the face adding this one in xoxo
Okayy Gotcha, thanks love!!! xox
